  • @fonzi0was0cool if you kno you dont like something why did you look up the video and watch it long enough to post your ignorant views

  • I like this song but I want the hindi version Lo Shaadi Aayi...

  • There is a difference though :P in India a traditional wedding is a HUGE deal... in some situations (I'm sure not all, but from what I've seen and studied, many) it helps to show off how prominent the bride is and what her worth is...

  • @rihanna015 i so agree with u.... they make such good movies i swear

  • very very good english song singing by hindu people

  • Brilliant choreography.

  • this makes me feel that th bride is "ME" N MY REST FRIENDS,awwww missing u all !!!

  • At 4:05 Hi..Nee <ein Sudqay Jawaaun, Lamo:-))

  • HanziSax94 and Sabbrirsa, Pride can mislead, and prejudice can blind... let us not be proud nor prejudiced, please be tolerant of other person's tastes, preferences and/or (gasp) artistic expression. Both Gurinder Chaddha and Jane Austen are admirable artists in their own right (different centuries, media and messages certainly). Both your opinions about their work are valid, just diverse.

  • Gurinder Chadha's version is an abomination to the classic Pride and Prejudice. Taking her name under the same frame with Jane Austen is an insult itself. I had to watch Keira Knightly's version to get rid of this horrid memory. When I watched this I was shocked and disgusted. But thats my opinion and nobody has to agree. And I did not address my opinion to anybody to begin with. If someone does not like what I have to say then they can just fuck off and die. sit on a rusty nail and twist it.

  • @PattyHR well said actually

  • 3:47 : Beest Moments haha !

  • What a stupid movie and what an abomination to Jane Austens classic. Gurinder Chaddha had lost it.

  • @sabbirsa if you don't like don't watch it you don't have to ram your opinion down other people's throats

  • @HanziSax94 Well if you allow yourself to be rammed then its not my fault. shut the fuck up and suck it up. I can say whatever I want and whenever I want. anyone who has read Jane Austens Pride And Prejudice would be able to understand what I am saying. Obviously you were to dumb to read that book. Come to think of it that book is not for stupid people.

  • @sabbirsa Actually I have read it and many others that you've probably never even heard of and you can't make assumptions on how intelligent someone is by one comment however seeing as you think its possible I'm going to say that you're the narrow-minded stupid one!

  • @HanziSax94 I am entitled to my opinion. and if you allow yourself to be rammed then sucks to be you. I am sure you have read it. its very evident. How do you know that I have not read the others? Have you read them in reality? Probably not otherwise you would not make such a stupid comment. Listen buddy, shut the fuck up and get bent. Suck it up or fuck off.

  • @sabbirsa if your so smart how come you can only think to write crude and stupid comments? You have way too much time on your hands. Now if you don't mind I've got homework to do and cba to carry on this conversation. F*** off yourself, bitch

  • I have done my MBA exams already. so I have got time. Yup sit in a rusty nail and twist it you fucking cunt.

  • wooooo balle balle

  • does anyone know if this video represents the holi fastival?? TNKS

  • ahaha at the end they look like a sea of skittles..soo colorful(^_^)

  • LOVE IT

  • The melodies are beautiful!!!!

  • can someone tell me where to get this movie from thank you,,,,

  • You can get it from Netflix. It should also be available at almost any video store.

  • Indian's throw some of the best weddings ever. So colorful and fun.

  • This is a disgrace to punjabis :/

  • its funny that the drag queens would talk about marriage being the path taken by "he and she"....since most of them are probably gay...

  • @desidol22 Not all Hijrah have sexual relations with men, some lead celebate lives, most have relations with a chosen partner and other are prostitues.

It depends on what each Hijrah choses.

  • 3:49 - 4:13 INDIAN DRAG QUEENS! Lol Love this movie!

  • @teamduncan77 Actually, they are Hijra (eunuchs/transexuals). Men who identify as female and lead their lives as women(some have had their plumbing removed). In this scene it is interesting because eunuchs are considered spiritual in some Hindi traditions and it is considered an honor to have a eunuch bless your marriage/wedding (which is what that individual does with the hand jestures and the short prayer).

  • Elizabethwaterstone- I love Aish but personally I don't think you can beat Madhuri.

  • Renezza013- They lipsing, just like most bollywood actors.

  • :D I wanna learn how to dance like that~

  • lol She was like molested by the palm reader XDD

  • @puffygirl300 bahaha I was wondering if anyone else noticed that. haha.

  • is anyone able to tell me if the cast actually sing the songs?? or is it someone else?? curious... :)

  • I love this movie it's soo cultural lol

  • When I went to Jaipur last year we went for a walk after dinner and we literally saw at least 5 weddings going on in one night!

We even got invited to one when they saw us out on the street. It was so colourful and amazing, everyone looked beautiful, they were all dancing, and the groom came riding up on a white horse =) And at one of the wedding processions, the groom was riding an elephant. Totally unforgettable experience =D

  • are these punjabis

  • @twistedwest1

not necessarily, but yes in the movie they are portraying punjabis.

  • she's going to wed doesn't mean she's dead LOL

  • lol

  • Ok I don't care what anyone says those guys dressed up as women is the funniest thing ever.

  • I've never been to a wedding and I probably never will - but, if I ever got to choose then I'd go to a traditional Indian wedding. Indian people really know how to have fun with a ceremony - unlike my Japanese culture and *shudder* the Americans...T~T

  • Catholic wedding ceremonies suck... long and boring. but the receptions... O-O. completely worth it

  • @gOtHiCxAnGeLxox You're on a video website, try looking up Assyrian wedding some time and you'll see how they party

  • where can i find this movie online?? i already watched it but i really wanna watch it again.

  • come on, rent or buy it.

  • I didn't understand 3:50 at first. I asked my dad and he told me that those are guys.

  • i get so excited just by hearing this song...wedding or not lol

  • @vanhelm

I guess it just depends on who you invite.

    I love weddings!

  • I don't know, this scene seems like something you would see animated in a Disney movie. But it's stll one of my favorite scenes:)

  • trop bien ste zik sisi jla kiff

  • omg yeah i thought the same thing...:) i luv this movie, i was skeptical at first when i saw this on HBO, but i was surpised..this One of my fave movie :)

  • @shortandsweetable Reminds me of Aladdin! Im sure it does to many to haha. Good stuff

  • @shortandsweetable Same! This had such a Disney opening number feel to it.

  • @shortandsweetable i think its the color that makes it look lyk a disney movie.

  • I think most people get excited for a wedding, you don't have to be in Asia or the Middle East. You could even be in Canada...or England...or *gasp* AMERICA!!

  • @abbykat8

    Weddings fucking suck in america.

  • i like to act out every part of this song and dance

  • luv di video ,loleta iz very pretty

  • This reminds me of the Middle East, everyone always gets crazy and excited for weddings :D

  • hahaha so right! Although I'm not in middle east, when there's a wedding, I think I'm more excited than the bride! LOL

  • Yep she is very pretty! When I saw her in this film I was gobsmacked how gorgeous she was. :-)

  • @dancla123 she is still gorgeous

  • i very glad ash got married, although I thought I would never see the day, huh.

  • ashwaryi rai is really pretty

  • None of these actors are singing. They are using playback singers.

  • Yes, theyre not allowed to sing in bollywood

  • This makes me miss my copy of Bride and Prejudice :[

  • what happened 2 it?

  • It disappeared somewhere...into the depths of my closet I'm sure

  • will you get another? i want to get a copy

  • okay so does the purple lady know them or what? i always wondered about that? and i never liked that part... mostly because i don't like emotional or deep parts or whatever.

  • i think she is the sister of the bride or something.

  • no probably not that wouldn't make sense... i think she just happens to know them... or whatever

  • Comment removed

  • shes a psychic and she is telling her future for free because shes getting married. so she is giving her wisdom so to speak.
