@kessler003 Depends on what type you're going for. SERE A,B, or C. They can definitely do this to you. What are you thinking? That if you are a POW they are going to be easy on you? This is no joke. No one even knows what SERE C is like (SpecWar stuff). This is as real as it gets man. The only difference is, SERE is a lot worse. They lock you in cages, play sounds of crying babies, etc.

@IndomitusLupus Well, i thought it was only survival stuff. I'm supposed to be 2 weeks in SERE School(I don't know anything about A, B or C).... I'm a 'Navy Airman'(Haven't gone to BootCamp yet.. im going in september) ... so i hope, this is only for Marines, Seals.

@kessler003 Seriously? I DEPed in the Navy January 27th. I am leaving to boot camp on September 18th! I have a SEAL contract though going in as an E-3, so IF I make it I will be going through SERE C. Best of luck to you and congrats on your decision to going America's finest. What's your ship date? It would be pretty cool to potentially know someone going in. (Though I probably would never see you being in the SEAL boot camp. (Same place, different PTs etc.)

@IndomitusLupus Sept. 18? I'm going Sept. 6, We are probably graduating BC around the same date. I'm going in as an E-3 too, then, after Boot Camp:

'Aircrew Candidate School'(4 weeks),

"A" School(I'm going, hopefully, for Unmanned Aerial Vehicles)(7-26 weeks),

SERE School(2 weeks... "I'm Afraid" hahaha)

and 'Fleet Replacement Squadron'(6-32 weeks) ...Scary Schedule!!!

Dude, SEAL? Awesome, that's tough!!! Congrats to you too and best wishes on becoming a Navy SEAL!!!

@kessler003 My brother was Aircrew. It's a pretty sweet deal. :) Maybe we'll run into each other. I think that would be pretty cool. And thanks. I'm nervous about it, but I think I have the mentality to get through it. It's my body I'm worried about. I'm in great shape, but all it takes is a twisted ankle or one slip up. I qualified for Nuke too (got a 96 on the ASVAB) so even if I do wash out, I'll have options :)
