  • About cleaning animals. When camping or hiking you probably would not want to draw the attention of predators/scavengers. However, in a survival situation you may consider using the organs and unused parts as bait for a larger dinner. Anything from raccoons to bears might find their way into your lunch menu.

  • very good video, and excellent quality, and very useful knowledge, I hope to move to nothern ontario and live off the grid.

  • @duffman1221 It's a wonderful place to live, but off the grid up here in N. Ontario is not for the faint of heart. Winter is brutal, and there is literally NO wild edibles, other than meat, and some types of tree parts. (buds, evergreens) Fishing requires an auger, as the ice gets too thick for an axe. But hey, if you can pull it off, give'r!!

  • interesting... hope you had some Molson iced down for when the camera shut down :o)

  • @BrokeTaxpayer ..oh yeah..cooler full of ice is top of list for essentials in backcountry...if you go bring lots of change for the ice machines to restock ice

  • enjoyed the vids ;-) what is that mosquito net you were wearing?

  • no not without any food, i had enough food for one day that a typical backpacker would carry, I should have shown that but it is my first video and im still working out some kinks, maybe in my next video ill go into more detail about it. The food i did bring was 2 pepperetts, 1 single pack of oatmeal and a chocolate bar

  • Did you head out to the woods without any food?
