if my top fan is an exhaust do i need to take out the filter so it doesn't block air? and why have fans at the bottom.. that doesn't make sense when it's so close to the ground there's really not much air there

The tool box and the mechanism of aperture of the X-dock are really innovative features of this case. Unfortunately the X-dock seems to be exclusively to SSD and 2.5" HD disks! But it is overall a terrific case!

it's a dumb idea to have dust filters on the exhaust fan because if you have dust filters on the intakes, it wouldn't even matter, it just restricts air flow :)

@TheJustin574 The reason for the dust filter at the top of the case is for those who want to reverse the fan and have it blow air into the case from the top- not common but I have seen it done before.

Also if a computer is left off for a long time without any exhaust being blown out the top and if no filter is present, dust particulates in the air can gradually fall straight down and into the computer. Dust is pervasive and omnipresent, you can never have too many filters protecting your build.

It is true! I have a CM690 II Advanced and it comes with dust filters at the top of the case. I has already removed this filter and now the exaust fans are more efficient than ever!

@TheJustin574 Unless you run your computer like a server, it will not be on all the time and dust will settle in the case through the top vents over time. So regardless of air flow direction, I think this is still a good idea.

@TheJustin574 Well along with what PCWizKid said. Having dust filters at the top of the case will prevent dust falling down into the case due to gravity since when your computer is off the fan will no longer be pushing the dust away.

Lol whats the point of the handle on top? Its a full tower. With all components its at LEAST 50 lbs. They shouldve just added wheels like they did with the CM Stacker instead.

@KickMoreAss You don't necessarily need to literally carry it around, but lets say for example you're going to a lan party, it will be easy to transport from your room to a car for example. Most cases with the handle option, is mainly for the ease of carrying it and moving it to where you please during and if you so desire to have a lan party / go to a lan party yourself. Instead of lifting it with two hands , you can just use one hand with the provided handle.

I don't really understand why people complain about the price of cases like the Storm Trooper. It is a FULL tower case, which you can install just about anything in cases like these and future expansion for higher end hardware. "You get what you pay for" is the first thing that comes to mind when looking at the price tag of a Full tower case.

Anyway, this case looks pretty beast, although I don't think I could really part with my NZXT Phantom Full Tower case that I am using now.
