@extexdave Alan "Blind Owl" Wilson died on Sept. 3, 1970 I believe. Hendrix died on Sept. 18, 1970. I'm sure Alan and Jimi's death was the talk of everybody THEN, but nowadays you only hear about Hendrix and poor "Blind Owl" has been forgotten expect by us who are active fans of this amazing group. "Blind Owl" was also a member of the dreaded "27 Club." The second behind Brian Jones who founded the club in July of 1969.

I used to rehearse right by Bear's old house in Chatsworth......there was still pot plants growing wild in the backyard last time I looked (about 7-8 yrs ago)

I miss this band.....lots of good childhood memories come to mind when I hear their music
