i had a 95' klx 650r lay over on me like 5 times getting up a crazy ass hill climb with enduro tires. fun bike tho, if you ride it hard you'll get a hell of a workout

nowadays it would make a good motard. but for trail riding they were so heavy. fine for dirt roads but too heavy for the tight stuff.

Nice video ,,,i have a KLR 650,,,now thats a real Hippo, I set a 14" high jump maybe went 2' in the air ,,i think the frame hit the ground but,,I didnt see any damage so i did it again

yeah, we needed to install a reverse so the green hippo could be backed out of the garage!

i remember swapping bikes on some rides, and absolutely loved the ktm. i'd get back on the KLX and it seriously felt like riding a hippo. but give it ten minutes and everything was okay again...

I HAd one and Bought a kit from BAJA DESIGNS and made it sreet legal it was a Blast

The Kit had headlight Blinkers Hand brake switch Foot brake switch Rear Brake light,Thatsa about it Plus i had to get street tires.

yeah, this was a mate of mine. I had the same bike and couldn't ride it as fast as he did. the only thing i could manage better was monos but only for a few hundred yards at most.
