  • can i run it on 896 mb of ram ;1.81 ghz ;ati radeon 9250 128mb

  • @rasosteva yep

  • can somebody help me ? i have toshiba laptopo intel gma and i want to improve video card size, it shows 64mb but realy it have 1gb if somebody help me write me inbox, thanx

  • I am running it on 512mb im not kidding when i do run and dxdiag it says i got 4970mb left of juice but i only use 500mb i got 3.33ghz

  • it's aero that needs 128 VRAM

  • Someone practically BEGGED me to install Windows 7 on her PC which had a 1GHz processor, 512 MB of RAM and a 40 GB HDD.

It ran quite smoothly - and it only used ~128 MB of RAM when idle. :)

  • @TheBetaFox youre right. Under normal use it does work. I installed Windows 7 ULTIMATE on a Dell Desktop with Pentium 4 processor and 512MB of RAM. Of course Aero does not work but It runs most daily normal use apps like Google Chrome, Firefox, (Can watch youtube videos fine and even watch streamed wideos too). Runs latest Yahoo Messenger 11 fine, Skype, Oovoo (video calls with webcam works fairly fine). For office applications I use Open office and it works fairly fine, Not fast but works okay.

  • plz tell me how did u enabled aero plz plz i like aero sooooo much tell me how to enable it plz :(

  • @TheZerogreat you must 128 mb or 512 mb your graphics card

  • el link

  • but can run motherfucker comments he is right

  • @9wrongnumber Lol no you're stupid.

  • Comment removed

  • how u ran w7 in your box dude

  • @MrVamsi2 i just uploaded a video of my desktop running windows 7 home premium on 512 ram and one core intel 3ghz processor and 64 MB shared intergrated graphics card. but no aero because of the system check and says my graphic drive cant handle it

  • @MrVamsi2 You idiot look at my channel, I've got it running on 256MB RAM.

  • @MrVamsi2 Sorry dude, I'm not an expert, maybe someone else here can answer him....?

  • I guess you could run it on this, but is unbarable lol

  • instalatelo posta y mostralo aca en youtube!

    eso es mas falso!

  • 6gb of ram and a 2gb graphics card works fine as well, for me, lol.

  • f-f-f-facepunch

  • @LooperNor If it makes no difference weather or not its running in a VM, get a computer with low specs and install it on it. Bam, problem solved. I would love to see that.

  • @Jasmir1988 watch?v=Cc-kWAwRcgw

    11. March 2009.

  • @Jasmir1988 You're welcome btw.

  • @LooperNor fuck you bitch, this is fake like hell!!!!

  • @Jasmir1988 Of course it makes differences, just for start, the HDD speed slow down.

  • Hello! friend can you tell me does WINDOW 7 ULTIMATE

works with 512 MB RAM smoothly please reply me!!! soon

  • @MrHarrypotter45 it will only work if you have a different OS that will run on 512MB RAM and install a virtual machine on that and run windows 7 in that virtual machine

  • Comment removed

  • @MrHarrypotter45

if you install Windows 7 the normal way.

IT WILL NOT WORK but if it does, not smoothly. unexpected Crashes/Errors and unstable softwares may appear on 512 MB of ram, also windows will be slow as hell.

  • lol optiplex gx 270 p4 512mb ram nvidia geforce2 mx 100/200 32 mb apple sucks big fat ones good video

  • To compensate for the lack of RAM It's using a large page file as virtual memory, big deal.

  • LOL, two arrows? MEDON O________O'

  • My goodness if I'd put Linux in that machine that would be as fast a bullet train!

  • A bit? Slow?

  • windows 7 in window?

  • @MrMajmuncina It's called a virtual machine.

I used Virtualbox myself and it can be found on virtualbox(dot)org

  • gay and fake

  • @heilhitler666x You know nothing. Where is your proof? Please tell me.

  • maybe if it were on a real system instead of virtual it wouldnt run but i dunno on the microsoft website it says u need 1 gb sys ram and 128mb vid ram

  • @GamerMGO You can still install it on less.

I've got a video of it running on my laptop with 256MB RAM.

To run it on less than 512MB you gotta fiddle with some shit though.

  • @LooperNor thats funny since i know at startup windows 7 eats up 1.10GB of RAM... so yeah id say if you were for real, it would have to be a tweaked version of windows 7 and not the actual public retail version

  • @PCHintsandTips Haha oh yeah no you're full of shit.

How do I know this? Well I've got it running on less idiot.

The official recommended requirements are 1GB (still less than your 1.1), and the installer usually stops the install if it's less than 512.

  • @LooperNor i know the official requirements are 1GB i was posting what happens on my laptop with 4GB

btw if your not full of shit youd post a video of it running straight of a computer with 512MB of RAM idiot!!

  • @PCHintsandTips I haven't got a video of it running on 512MB of RAM because I don't have a computer with 512MB of RAM.

But you're welcome to check out my video of it running on 256MB RAM:

    watch?v=Cc-kWAwRcgw

  • @GamerMGO nope it will go even lower than this

  • @GamerMGO i agree, running stuff in virtual machines has less ram and processor requirements... its really not the same as having it directly on the machine, and virtual machines are really just to "virtualize" the experience if you were to use the OS in it.... like if you want to test out linux before actually installing it, or if you wanted to see if a game ran on a different OS (thats what developers use virtual machines for... programming lol) so yeah this video is fake lol

  • @PCHintsandTips Oh yeah it's totally fake because it's virtualized.

Running something in a virtualized environment doesn't magically make it require less resources smartass.

  • @LooperNor it does make the requirements less dumbass

i work with those companies that did the developement for those virtual machines

its not the same as running it straight off your computer

quit being a smartass and show us a video with proof that its running straight off a computer with 512MB of RAM

  • @PCHintsandTips So... You think that VM's are different to Real machines?

Yes they are different in the fact that they are slower than native machines

No, they will not make a OS different, VM's Stand for Virtual Machine this means you have a whole software emulated "box" on the host OS, The VM OS see's this as a standard computer, The reason for VM's are for testing and cheap server boxes (VPS) Just out of question:

"I did work with the companies that made them virtual machines"

    What company?

  • @PCHintsandTips Care to share Whom you work for? - Given your obvious lack of knowledge on this subject I doubt you have anything to do with any companies in the field whatsoever.

  • @PCHintsandTips ma computers running windows 7 ultimate with 512mb ram

  • @LooperNor according to VMware, recommended memory 1GB RAM, guest OS recommended minimum 512MB RAM

    and thats for windows 7

and "guest OS" is what a virtual machine is called btw, but im sure you didnt know that since you dont seem to know anything do you?

and yes that is my proof that virtual machines require less

so next time, dont put your foot in your mouth and show us the proof idiot...

enjoy your time on my blocked list..i hope you go to school or have someone teach you about computers

  • @PCHintsandTips Hey idiot try figuring out what "reccomended minimum" means.

And that's not even by Microsoft.

  • @PCHintsandTips

Guest OS part: I know stupid fuck, pulling shit out of your ass again.

Your proof part: That's not even proof, see other comment.

Here you go, running on a laptop with 256MB RAM: watch?v=Cc-kWAwRcgw

Funny how I go to a school where we actually learn about computers.

And I find the hypocrisy here hilarious. "Go to school and learn", and then you type like a 9 year old.

  • @PCHintsandTips You are completely and utterly full of shit.

  • @PCHintsandTips Please stop embaressing yourself. You obviously know nothing about computers.

If you allocate 512mb of RAM to your virtual machine, that is how much RAM it will provide to the guest OS. The operating system running on the VM platform does not know it is running in a VM, and even if it did it wouldn't suddenly decrease its hardware requirements. When an OS runs inside a VM, it is identical to having a computer with the resources you allocate to the VM.

    All of this is undenyable.

  • @PCHintsandTips

Running it virtually, if anything, makes it require more than require less. You're a dumbass who thinks he's great with computers and doesn't admit he's wrong when he's presented with the proof he asks for.

  • hey...i hv xp installed on my desktop wid 512 ram 2.2 ghz......can i upgrade it with windows 7....wid no prblms

  • what is my pc performance when install windows7

    intel pentium 4 2.80ghz

    500gb hrddisk...

    any answer??

  • Hello! I have a windows xp 512mb ram and 32mb vram (intel pentium 4 1.8ghz) Can I upgrade to windows 7 home premium or basic?

  • @ViPERMiMiS i have the same specs and OS that you have, except that i have 1GB of RAM.

  • @MegaCamu yeah but can you run windows 7 basic there?

  • @ViPERMiMiS i think you can, but haven't tried.

  • @MegaCamu ok thanks i'll try it :)

  • @ViPERMiMiS you're welcome! good luck!

  • @MegaCamu Well............... :O It just sucks!!!!! XP starts on 45 seconds...... win 7 starts in 1 minute and 11 seconds + that the applications are really slow , much slower than the SLOW xp !!!!!! I Just uninstalled it (The Windows Expririence Inex (or something like that) scores 2.0 my PC!!! (2.0 is the worst rating!)

So to everyone who has an old PC, DO NOT INSTALL WINDOWS VISTA OR 7 OSes ON OLD PCS because they SUCK! Much slower than xp on old pcs (on newer 7 are the best!)

  • @ViPERMiMiS 1.0 is the worst rating

  • @kerrrazzzy8s Yeah.... you are right... but 2/7.9?!!!!!! lol!!! Now i have XP of course :P

  • @ViPERMiMiS On my test computer i got a 1.9 with windows 7

No aero for me sadly that 1.9 was in graphics...

    The test computer specs are:

    p4 cpu 2.66

    512mb ram

Nvidia geforce4 mx 420 64mb vram (in other words old as crap)

    Western Digital 60gb hard drive

    Its a dell dimension 4550

  • @kerrrazzzy8s The memory got a 3.9 and the processor got somewhere in the 3.x category. The harddisk got the best rating with a 4.9

  • @kerrrazzzy8s how can this happen? look my specs are

    (no aero of course)

    p2 cpu 1.80ghz

    512mb ram

s3graphics prossavageddr 32mb vram (crap crap crap!!!)

    western digital 40gb hdd

its a hp pc that i don't know the model (it says quest on the front but it is hp... anyway it is crap, how can this happen??? 2.0 my pc and you 1.9? there is something wrong !!! xD well anyway we have crap pcs (of course i don't use it now lol!!!)

  • @ViPERMiMiS The pc im posting this with has

    2.00gb ram

    256mb geforce 8800 video card

    Vista Home premium x86

Core 2 Duo 2.33ghz per core

    It gets a 5.3

The computer i was talking about that i got a 1.9 was just a test computer

  • @kerrrazzzy8s 7 actually was usable for basic tasks on that old machine

Music, web, Delta Force Black hawk down worked with drivers for my video card

  • @kerrrazzzy8s ok !! lol!! and that pc with the 2.0 rating is my actual computer (ok i don't install games on it!) but i have a netbook eee pc 1000h windows 7 (not upgraded).... well.... xD

  • You installed Steam in that crap?? Wow...

  • Do you use a Windows 7 Beta?

  • wow where can i get the wallpaper?? :D

  • Specs : Dual core e2140 1.6Ghz

    -Nvidia Ge-force 8400gs 512mb

-1GB DDR2 Ram which OS do you recommend plz reply......

  • @Boreber i think vista is good because it only need 1GB Ram to run fast put XP

  • @Boreber Windows 7 will run fine with just 1gb of ram (believe me i got 768mb and it runs FINE) but i think you already tried it :P

  • @Boreber Windows XP.

  • @Boreber

take windows 7 it will run smoothly ;)

    or if u like ubuntu/mint/debian/suse.. what u like^^

  • man, this is amazing

i have windows 7 ultimate on my dell 512mb ram

it works much better than windows vista. windows 7 is even fast as windows

  • how you install osx in virtualbox? can you upload a video with osx in virtualbox?

  • I have windows xp with 768MB of RAM chould i upgrade 2 7 with no problums

  • @stickkiller1 I wouldn't expect any programs, but it wouldn't be blazingly fast either.

  • @LooperNor i think you wanted to say "problems"...anyway, i got 768mb ram and it runs fine

  • @stickkiller1 wtf i have 4 GB of ram and the ram usage is always like 80 percent of the stupid desktop gadget.

  • @stickkiller1 i have windows 7 on mine and is has 512 of ram and it run great but is a lite version fro da internet

  • @stickkiller1 yes you can i am running windows7 with 512mb ram

  • Install 2, then upgrade to 64 bit. then install the other 5 gb's and you will have no problems,

  • 12 MB graphics RAM?! I have 64 and can't even run Aero!

  • @YoutuJ3eJ3lows aero needs 128mb vram!!!!!!!!

  • @ViPERMiMiS your point?

  • Hmm It could run, you can use AERO and MEDIA CENER but..... you cant play a game like NFSU2 and Warcraft

  • Norwegian YAY

  • Also im formatting my PC! Not using a Virtual Machine!! Im going to do a Clean Installation!!!!

  • can i run windows7 with a 894 RAM and with a 256MB OnBoard VGA?? I don't think that win7 will take 16GBs! My friend told me that it takes 4-8 GB!! Will it?? My PC SPECS!!! _______________ Intel(R) Pentium4 Motherboard 894MB of RAM! 256MB of VGA! ATI RADEON 200 XPRESS! 3.0 GHz!! Please Help! I hope for an answer tomorrow. (2010/03/03) on 3rd March!! PLS HELP!! I will subscribe and rate 5 stars to any video u want for the helper!!!! Sorry for my bad english! :( PLEASE HELP!!!
  • It will run, terribly. the video card probably won't allow Aero to run, so you will run on a freaking ugly theme, and because it's a simple pentium 4, it will run terribly slowly. just buy a new computer, you can get one that runs Windows 7 perfectly for $550.

  • @rooo1o

I installed Windows 7 Upgrade Advisor!

I checked my mp with it!

My graphics card was 100% compatible with Aero Effects!!!

  • oh, I thought the requirements were the same as on Vista...?

well maybe they've just lowered the bar for videocards a bit.

  • @SonicXRulz (Part 2) Another note, say your computer is using DDR ram (894 MB makes me think that) (DDR2 is faster). The top speed for that is 400 MHz. The bus width is 64 bits. No complaining - these will be estimated. 64 bits(8 bytes) * 400,000,000 / 2 clocks per access = 1.6 Gigabytes per second Maximum. Probably around 1.0 GB/s actual. A normal flash drives writes at about 10 MB/s. That is 102.4 times slower. It is not a permanate solution. I recommend more RAM.

  • @linuxrobotdude Thanks for ur help! Ill try to bye more ram!!

  • It'll run-- but I recommend XP.

  • The graphics adapter is FINE. I had 7 running on a computer with 8 MB VRam - it was an older P4 optiplex w/ a GMA 915. I would recommend 2 GB RAM, 1 GB if thats all you can manage, but because then you won't have to worry about anything. I say this because with my docs folder open, google chrome, and my email, my win 7 system is using 1280 MB of RAM. I do have Virtual memory disabled - gives about a 2x speed boost over here

  • @linuxrobotdude can't i use ready boost to make my ram higher???

  • @SonicXRulz Not really, well sort of. Ready boost is a lot like Virtual Memory in that it uses a hard drive or flash drive for RAM. this is a purely software thing, not hardware. First of all Readyboost is evil because it kills flash drives.A Flash ram chip can take about 100,000 erase cycles. Physically you have to erase a part to write to it. Windows may access the flash stick once every 5 seconds. That makes that part of the stick last for about 200 hours, or 8 days of continuous operation.

  • you should audioswap 009 sound system's songs

  • do you have the windows 7 ultimate trial?

coz your boot screen is different than mines coz i have the full version i bought!

  • How is it different?

  • Comment removed

  • @1234minhaj you can turn off the boot graphics to save ram

  • this is about what my computer runs on, about the same specs

  • how do u have aero i dont have i i have 64 mb

  • @microsoftchairman. you can have aero on 256mb ram, you just need a good graphics card.

  • I have a old gateway intel p3 600mhz 512mb computer , i am going to install windows 7 on it. jUst for kicks. The computer is old as hell, but hey might as well make it look good.

  • I don't believe this, microsoft always invents os systems that eat a lot of resources,is just a lie to make people install windows 7.Look if your system is ok,what any favorite Os you use,why try windows 7 ? For what ? Is not Gold on your PC and I don't think is faster than Vista or better than xp and how about netbios attacks how can windows 7 handle it ?

  • @mariusica7273 Windows 7 pwns both XP and Vista.. Windows 7 runs great on relatively small hardware specs.

Written from a 2.0 Ghz P4 with 1 gig of ram and onboard graphics..

  • i dont see why this should be so amazing. i would expect any modern os to run on those specs. the G RAM is a little low, i would recommend 64 mb but 512 mb is fine. for people that do internet based work that would be fine. ram is cheap so there's no reason not to put two or three gigs for good measure, but if your really on a budget 512 shold be fine. i ran vista on that with a 2 ghz single core with 128 mb of ram and it was fine, as long as i didn't run multiple programs, but 7 > vista.

  • Hey this is what most people dont get or understand not everyone has a computer that can hold that much RAM and not everyone gets a new computer every other year shit i still have a dell optiplex GX 260 it came out in 2004. I got this like last year so i can get rid of my 1999 gateway computer that ran on windows ME. not every one has that kinda money to be getting new computers like that. This video is to show it is posible. not because it is amazing.

  • all i said was that it would be better with better specs, but you can run it with those specs no problem. no where did i say that you have to buy a new computer each year, and guess what, i have a dell optiplex GX 150 with a 1 GHZ P3 and 512 MB of Ram running windows 2000 upgraded from NT 4, i know what youre talking about, and btw any computer from 05+ can hold atleast 2 GB of ram. My grandmothers XP MCE 05 PC from 05 uses 2 max and its great. don't assume because you make and ass of u and me.

  • hey use the song the tempest from pendulum it about 7 :28 min long

  • what is ur computer ram , hdd , proccesser , etc?

  • i have p4 intel , 1.5 gb ram , 40gb hdd and a 8.4 gb hdd and 80 gb hdd not working and a 256mb video card and its from touchmate.

  • WOW , your so cool

  • WOW, my so cool?

  • the old 80gb had been replaced by a new one and the 8.4 gb has been broken.

  • can my computer emulate this?

i have virtualbox in windows 7

i had emulated winxp micro on it

  • Ahhh eu tenho 512 MB de RAM (Utilizável 383 MB) e tenho 192 MB de gráfico, e roda o Windows 7 Ultimate numa boa, não trava e roda suave...

talvez seja porque é um beta o SO usado neste vídeo! :)

  • my pc is intel celeron 3.06 GHz,512 RAMs, graphic card radeon HD 2600-512, will i be able to run windows 7 and his aero features??

  • I think you will, but don't take my word for it.

  • @fannatikoss

yes but depends on your graphic card

if ur graphic card has Windows7Compatible and Ready logo on it,then u can feel the aero features without causing system unstable

  • Can The Win 7 Build 7600 Install On The Compaq Presario Computer?

    Spec:

    Proccessor Intel P4 516 2.93 GHz?

    Ram:512 MB RAM

Chipset: Intel® 82915G/82910GL Express Chipset Family

    Graphics: Intel GMA 900 128MB

    Plz Give Me Some Info!

  • It will install and work yes.

Probably won't get Aero and therefore lose some of the best features though.

  • my xp machine has similar specs to yours

  • what about my pc PIV 2ghz, 512mb ram, 64 agp... plz reply... what should i install... home premium or ultimate. thanks

  • omg the video in HD run normal

  • what are you using i want it!

  • Where you get the background there? Windows 7 ftw

  • can I install it on 1.44Ghz (AMD) processor? 512 RAM . Free space I have to much. Can I?

  • You can, but I wouldn't expect it to be extremely fast.

  • oks thanks

  • or in my pc?? 1.6Ghz Pentium 4 512 RAm

  • you can run it but without aero and some other visual effects

  • it means win 7 will run good on my 64 mb graphic card.... thanks dude

  • "Sorry about the silent video"

THANKS GOD THERE'S NO CRAPPY MUSIC IN THIS VID!

    THANKS GOD!

Finally a silent quiet video where i dont have to listen to some shitty house or metal or pop music!!!

    AAAAMEN!!!!

    LOL

  • Mute button FTW

  • How is Opera on win7 I reviewed it for my website but that was on xp.

  • It's great on 7.

  • u could even lower to like 256 mb on windows 7

  • watch?v=Cc-kWAwRcgw

    ;)

  • hey which virtualization software did u use ?? n is it free ?? :D =D please reply fast :) thanks :D =D

  • Yes as a matter of fact it is free and you can find it at virtualbox [.] org

  • You could put Dreamscape from 009 Soundsystem in this video!

Its only 4 minutes but you could make it play twice!

  • y everyone is starting to but that song they making that song old to fast

  • Great job, i did a similar experiment with a pentium 3 500mhz and 512 ram and ati rage 128 card with 8mb video ram, just to see how low i could go and to prove emeek wrong

  • Oh, and what about actually installing it on the computer? Would it run nicely on 1.50GB Ram? I'm thinking about switching.

  • @Zacheroo 1.50 gb ram passes the recommended requirements, so YES, you can run it.

  • Looks like your a bit of a gamer, STEAM on both PCs ;)

  • Valve is a great developer and publisher.

And I got Steam everywhere because I use it for chatting.

  • What screen recorder did you use?

  • Windows Media Encoder.

I'm going to make a tutorial on how to use it.

  • It is 32 bit, right?

  • No.

  • hey i also got it. Its cool that you r running win7 in a window inside your vista. But hey which version of 7 is this cos the version i got has a different log on screen. my one is the rc version.

  • maybe hes a beta build ?

  • they have ultimate but sometimes the downloader randomly spits out a premium

  • can you get windows 7 on a computer with 256mb of ram computer. i found some patch for it but cant find a way to patch the .dll file

  • Autor says you can do it in vLite in comments below..

  • Haha, VirtualBox and Microsoft Virtual PC are epic. I use it a lot. also LOL at 12MB of VRAM, nice work.

  • Can I install windows 7 if I only have 512mb ram? Or does installer "need" 1gb ram to install 7?

  • The installer is locked at 512MB RAM, so you need that to install it, but you can set the limit to 256MB RAM in vLite.

  • Okay, thanks

  • nice, had it running in a VM first too.

the S3 Trio 32 seems to be a stable card

(better than my laptop which has a built in SiS M760GX 8MB)

  • where did you get your wall paper?
