  • Indegious people of the mainland understand!

  • @Hawnguy100 BTW, a German told me 2 days ago how at the airport there was a hold up b/c a Turkish businessmen had to be scrutinized b/c he was MUSLIM. No matter if he was a businessman coming to the US FREQUENTLY. Yes, ALL MEN ARE CREATED EQUALLY. Bullshit.

  • @Hawnguy100 Those statistics, 25% is based on entire pop. but people use that to justify who has the actual right. They're trying to profess true democracy but the US itself doesn't follow such a thing. They brainwash their citizens thinking that speaking one's mind is democracy. Voting for candidates NOT CHOSEN by its own citizens is democracy. It's an oligarchy, always has been. Look at the US Constitution, they profess that all men r created equally, but they don't treat them as such.

  • @MolokaiAlika How did the royals have too much power? The 1864C actually curtailed the power of the Executive branch compared to the 1852C. The 1887C instead disenfranchised everyone BUT the rich Haoles. The Queen did the exact same thing that Thurston, et al. did, which was change the C. Only diff. was that the 1887C was not ratified. The use of GIN, etc. doesn't make it acceptable to enforce a new C WITHOUT the approval of the Legislature as stated in the 1864C.

  • @MolokaiAlika And where are you from? You should get rid of "Molokai" from your name. Only true sons/daughters of that island should carry the proper epithet.

  • @MolokaiAlika We don't know how things would've been had Emma become Queen but that still doesn't justify why EVERYONE ELSE should've been disenfranchised. Are you even aware of the changes done in the 1887C? They increased the number of Nobles to even out the number of the House, increased the criteria for voting so that you only the elite Haole could vote, allowed foreigners to vote BUT NOT ASIANS, & Nobles were voted by the same elite grp rather than being appointed.

  • @MolokaiAlika 1887 article chgs allowed the elite to control the legislature THEREFORE making it an oligarchy, NOT a democracy.

  • @MolokaiAlika I think if you actually READ all the constitutions, you would have a better understanding of how much power the Executive branch had compared to years before 1864. You seem to be recyling the same garbage spewed by the ignorant Haoles, which i can tell by your username is nothing more than the typical outsider trying to dictate to Kanakas as to how history was rather than go by actual facts.

  • @MolokaiAlika They say the same thing, that he drank too much. Look at the 1864C & it'll say who could rule. You couldn't be an insane or an idiot. If they wanted to, the Legislative branch could've done something, instead it was Thurston who decided to actually change the constitution rather than get rid of the King. The judicial branch created the new constitution and guess what, according to the constitution where it must be ratified, it never was. Same w/ the 1892C, never ratified.

  • Probably portuguese, this guy is living in a dream world.

  • @MolokaiAlika what are you referring to about the guy being Portuguese? Americans habitually try to align everyone with some "ethnic" group to divide or disassociate one person from the group, if not trying to make themselves seem superior, these are things that the ego yearn to do in order to make it appear more intelligent.

  • chuz indigenous people.yeah right.Hawaii will never get their land back. EVER. and besides theirs barley any PURE blooded hawaiians left. so whats the point of givng back the land to a bunch of Quarter hawaiians?

  • @Hakau72 thats right bra lol im from Hawaii but you got a point

  • Hawaiians! Let us, all indigenous people, stand up and fight for our rights, our lands and our freedom! Chamorros of the Marianas Islands are in the same struggle. I think that if we all unite, as one voice, our cries for justice and freedom will be heard. There are over 370 million indigenous peoples of the world. We should support each other in our movement.

  • there's a chamorro sovereignty movement?

  • I don't think that we will gain independence from the US. I believe that Kanaka Maoli's have a better shot because of the history but I would love to see us all unite and help each other. We all came from the same place...there are similarities in our languages. The Chamorros' of Guahan (Guam) are fighting for their right to Self-Determination. They can choose to become a commonwealth, a free association or independent.

  • but the US isn't even considering giving the chamorros on guam the vote for what gov't they want..

  • The UN has submitted papers to the US, again, to reconsider the Chamorro people's right to Self-Determination. There is a new documentary to be released on PBS called "The Insular Empire". Youtube it and you'll see a trailer for it.

  • @nesianboy bra what you goin do if that do go back? lol your not goin have all that shit we got now? haha not goin last bra

  • what a beautiful display of love and pride for your culture and country..your true country. i have great admiration for the hawaiian efforts for freedom! much alofa and support!

  • To my Hawaiian brothers, imperialism will not stand forever. You have my support in your struggle to regain your freedom, and pride in what was a proud people and country.

  • @uru86 actually, people are more free under the current governmental structure.

  • @MolokaiAlika How are the people more free under the current govt structure? You do realize why the Queen considered the 1893 Constitution to begin with, right? You are aware of what happened the summer of 1887?

  • @MolokaiAlika last sentence of Art 42 of the 1864C states: No act of the King shall have any effect unless it be countersigned by a Minister, who by that signature makes himself responsible. Contrary to what inaccuracies you've been preaching to others, the King did not have the sole power. Same w/ the 1893C which was never ratified, art. 42: No act of the Queen shall have any effect unless it be countersigned by a minister, who, by that signature, makes himself responsible.
