i've fallen in love!!! So wish i'd seen this guy when he was alive, OMG what a genius, what a voice! so Commanding but soft. I was introduced to this GOD on Saturday and i'll never look back. WOW Going to sooooo enjoy checking out all his stuff. ACE, RIP JM you GOD xx
Sounds like good John even mined an area now owned by Tom Waits. This is actually incredible for a live performance. May even be better than the studio version. Martyn takes something bordering on maniacal and turns it into a melodicly intense classic. John Martyn was having fun that night. A wonderful musician. Always a delight to listen to.
Yes, one of the best versions of this song. ever. Poor ole John. He lived his life to the edge. He was brilliant, and a nutter. Lets celebrate this master and genius. To all of you who loved John., you know who you are. Love him, and lets not forget the master !!!xxx
It's been a long time since I've seen this.Had it on video tape in the 80's,watched it until the tape dropped to bits.Spectacular performance from John
Brilliant to see it again. Thanks for uploading!!!
Fantastic. When I first saw him in about '92 he did this and the final thunder clap shook the entire venue... literally! We'll never see his like again...

Wonderful performance of an excellent song. Saw him playing this live as a kid. Outstanding...Greatly missed.
I wouldn't have dared to get that close to the man himself tho...He looks like he's gonna nut the cameraman!!!
