@MimiTucker2662000 it usually comes out during the day, less so when sleeping I find. But it could be different for everyone. Just wear a pad or tampon at all times and you'll be fine.
(Yes you can sleep with a tampon but make sure its a lower absorbency then what you wear usually and wear a panty liner with it)

@ajitn001 Hey there, when you start your period you can miss a month or so it can be irregular especially for the first yr or so depending on u, it differs, but yeah it will never be perfect but don't worry. I''ve looked it up and stress can cause you to miss a period so don't stress over it hun. a lot of things can cause you to be late. stress and significant weight loss or weight gain or excessive exercising are some of them. but you are still irregular probably since you've just started it.
@Lexithefluffybunny pads are easy just stick them to your underwear (No thongs whilst on your period) and dont use a tampon your first few times if you can help it. Become comfortable with your flow and the length before attempting that. BUt once you want to, there are plenty of videos that can help you insert one.
@leekhawilliams if you have the right absorbency you can, if you dont feel comfortable wear a light pad. But you can most times if its right for your flow

@TheValbur NEVER ask a girl if they're on their period. If they aren't they'll be pissed. If they are they'll be pissed. Its a lose-lose. And you dont need to avoid them just dont be annoying. Don't ask a million questions or accidentally insult them. Be very gentle and sweet.
@baton101luver put a tampon in your jean pocket or a pad in a zip-up hoodie pocket. Maybe stuff it in your backpack (Since you dont have a locker you must carry your bag around with you. And then just ask to go to the bathroom in your classes. Hope this helps

@wicca464 a good first time tampon would be tampax sport. those are great. By the time you try tampons you should know how heavy your flow is so just choose the absorbency based on that.

I'm glad you talked about exercise! If you are in good shape and are active your period is likely to be shorter and you will have less cramps. Not only have I heard this from other people my own experiences support it as well.
Whenever I get my period, I change my pad every 3-4 hours and during that time is gym and my gym teacher is a guy and he sometimes doesn't let us go to the bathroom.
@Bigcatlover15 I would try using a thicker (more absorbency) pad or a tampon during this time. Or change it right before gym. Just schedule your pad changes around gym for those days. Hope that helps :)

@marioxx98 honestly, i cant tell you but I would suggest wearing panty liners if you start feeling different. or even every time you have gym just to be safe. Most times your first period is light so dont worry about staining. If you feel liquid coming out just ask to go to the bathroom and check. (Keep pads in your gym bag also :))
@XxLivingUnHappyxX just stand relaxed or with one foot on the top of the toilet and unset it at an angle. There are tons of videos that give you a better idea of how to insert a tampon :)
you've gotta learn how to put tampons in as soon as you can though. tampons are life savers. you don't have to worry about feeling uncomfortable, or a pad showing through your pants, or the blood leaking through to your clothes. it took me FOREVER to figure out how to put a tampon in, and then forever to figure out how to get it in correctly and far enough so i couldn't feel it. you've got to ask an older girl how to put a tampon in! even though it may be a bit awkard, you've got to do it.

@ellichia240998 I got my period in 6th grade and it was discharge until middle of 8th grade!! Be prepared for the legit blood blood anytime..but if you have discharge for a while..don't worry.

I'm glad you talked about exercise! If you are in good shape and are active your period is likely to be shorter and you will have less cramps. Not only have I heard this from other people my own experiences support it as well.

Whenever I get my period, I change my pad every 3-4 hours and during that time is gym and my gym teacher is a guy and he sometimes doesn't let us go to the bathroom.
What should I do?

@Bigcatlover15 I would try using a thicker (more absorbency) pad or a tampon during this time. Or change it right before gym. Just schedule your pad changes around gym for those days. Hope that helps :)

Hi :), i just wanted to get an answer from you, you see im 13 going into 14 and school is gonna switch semester very soon and were gonna have gym class for the rest of the year. we have to wear shorts alot and i just want your opinion on when it will come so i can be prepared and not embarrass myself in school, my details: I started getting discharge and boob pain on the same day, it was around august 2011, when will it come? plz reply :)

@marioxx98 honestly, i cant tell you but I would suggest wearing panty liners if you start feeling different. or even every time you have gym just to be safe. Most times your first period is light so dont worry about staining. If you feel liquid coming out just ask to go to the bathroom and check. (Keep pads in your gym bag also :))

@XxLivingUnHappyxX just stand relaxed or with one foot on the top of the toilet and unset it at an angle. There are tons of videos that give you a better idea of how to insert a tampon :)

you've gotta learn how to put tampons in as soon as you can though. tampons are life savers. you don't have to worry about feeling uncomfortable, or a pad showing through your pants, or the blood leaking through to your clothes. it took me FOREVER to figure out how to put a tampon in, and then forever to figure out how to get it in correctly and far enough so i couldn't feel it. you've got to ask an older girl how to put a tampon in! even though it may be a bit awkard, you've got to do it.

@doriandlily1999 i was just like you when i was 12! i thought it would NEVER come! but i finally got it when i was 14. just think of this: you wait your whole life to graduate, get married, have kids, etc. if you can wait for these things to happen, you can surely wait a couple months - years to get it! hope that helped.
