not really.. to actually reach 200 combo with mobs can be quite hard.. and it only just leaves them with 1 hp and not kill them.. u still have to go around and kill them.. but on bosses at least it helps to deal more dmg.. maybe example u are clocking.. then u see the clock closing after a 1/1.. combo skills dont use mp.. so u can use ur tempest do deal extra dmg.. instead of losing the combo for nth..

Aran's stat gain is capped at 100 combos. At 100 combos, the important stat bonuses are +10 weapon attack and +60% critical rate(assuming you are at least 3rd job). Anything after 100 combos is just to keep up the high attack or to use a combo skill such as combo fenrir, tempest, etc.
