thank u tavikitty.that was very entertaining.i really enjoyed that very much. i give it the "electric can opener special citation of merit" also the" ivory coast cross" magnifico!!
@harryoakley, Tavikitty - This most definitely is In A Shanty In Old Shanty Town, performed in the "skiffle-and-jug" fashion with scat singing instead of the lyrics. Just listen to the chord changes, boys. Jass!

Yep. I don't recognize the tune by name, but it's a simple litte AABA thing similar to a lot of Tin Pan Alley pop of the era, though here performed in a nice hot style. The tune is certainly not at all the old standard "Shanty in Old Shanty Town".
Quite a fun performance however. Thanks for sharing this.
Well, that is the only name I've been able to find for this video. There isn't a lot of info available on this band.
But according to the sources I've been able to find that is the correct title.
I know it isn't the more famous song called in a shanty in old shanty town, but it wouldn't be the first time that different songs had the same title.

It may be a jazzed up version of it, but I would never guess this was "In a Shanty in Old Shanty Town" without being informed so.
