  • I don't think God would ever let a non believer see Him.

I'm just thinking out loud but why would he give them a peek

If they already made their decision. Can an atheist change his mind

About his belief in God right before he dies and get in heaven?

  • @Gaybykersonacid God doesn't exist

No such place as heaven, or hell, or any afterlife

  • @Gaybykersonacid

to which god are you referring?

  • @Gaybykersonacid Well believers have no evidence that they ever saw this god either, so basically, you're entire paragraph is bullshit.

  • @Gaybykersonacid Why would he NOT let a non-believer see him? How else is a non-believer supposed to come to be a believer? An atheist has not mad up their mind, atheism is just a rejection of a theists claims. Atheists don't reject god they reject your claims about god as not having supporting evidence.

  • I'm not claiming anything- but just curious- is it possible for a non believer

To ever find God? Does God just dis them??

  • @Gaybykersonacid

This is what you call a loaded question.

  • @youneekk you say you're gonna destroy atheism!? Well, I guess I gotta check out your channel!

    Imbeingsarcastic.jpeg

  • She's nice, but she's still an ignorant idiot that thinks her imaginary friend talks to her. Matt's experience is different from her's because he is rational and logical. She's a selfish hypocrite that thinks her daddy is the answer to all. Her immoral god talks to her and takes of her, but who cares about those who are starving, children with cancer, those who are murdered! There is nothing that imaginary god who created everything can do because he is hanging out with Juanita.

  • she has some issues...

  • Wow. That's a total of two believers that I've heard now who have acted respectfully towards the hosts. Good for her. I'd love to have an experience that proves there is a God. Unfortunately, unless that experience could be independently observed, documented, tested, and reproduced, it would likely be a false experience.

  • oh dear

  • Another crazy looper!!!!

  • If i saw god i would think i was insane.

  • @zooryanzoo123 If I walked up to someone and told them, "I used to be a rock." THEY would think I was insane.

  • @YesYou123333 Nah, just that you are a moron. What makes you you is your thoughts (lol) and consciousness not your material make up.

  • @zooryanzoo123 So would he.

  • she did'nt explain exactly what her experience was,so it's hard to get to the bottom of what she was talking about.

  • @YodaLN Well you can if you wish; there is free choice after all....isn´t there ?

  • oh my, she talked waaay too much...

  • I have to say. This person is the nicest I've ever heard. They're not pushy, accept other's views (despite not fully understanding), but she doesn't try to force anything upon the hosts. She tells her story, accepts her position, and is content with living and letting live. THIS is the type of Christian that makes me proud of that religion.

  • Every religious person thinks they experience their god at some point. Are there many gods?

  • She DOES seem bipolar or schizophrenic. If the shoe fits....

  • my parents weren't perfect. But I do appreciate that they never baptized me. Atheism isn't always easy. I'm sure it's easier because I never had any childhood indoctrination. Feel sorry for the kids that have to fight that bullshit to get free.

  • WHat a whack!

  • I suggest that anyone "In the presence of God"..whatever that entails; would be open to his fellow being and be respectful of their person irrespective of whether they are clever or stupid or what these terms refer to..it might be right to say that we know nothing as Socrates did..just a comment

  • i know stupid people need the most help, but I really hate listening to them.

  • @isisdron

True believer syndrome (such as this caller obviously has) is NOT the result of stupidity. That is a common refrain by we atheists, and I simply disagree. You can chalk it up to ignorance, brainwashing, etc. but it's intellectually lazy to write off all theists as being "stupid." Was Matt "stupid" before he lost his faith? Are the many atheists in a similar situation "stupid" before they lose their faith and "smart" after? There are a lot of dumb people period, regardless of religion

  • @opmike343 I think of religion as being like Jack Daniels. You can be smart in most ways, but religion messes with your head. As soon as you get rid of religion you sober up.

  • this is probably the most respectful dialogue I've heard on this show.

  • i like Jimi Hendrix's "Experience" the best!!!

  • Particle physics says matter borrows energy from the future to experience the present. I wonder if we, as those particles, are creating potential futures. Then when one of those potential futures becomes real we ride the wave to said future. This causes it to seem like things are falling into place, and they are. It doesn't necessarily mean it's being caused by intelligence. It's more that time itself is fulfilling its own prophecies. What is consciousness? How do we collapse the wave function?

  • @derman077 But isn't time a limited supply in itself? My understanding is that time as we know it has a beginning and an end.

  • @no1hoopsman If you define time as the beginning when the Universe began and ending when the Universe ends, then yes, it is limited. However, that limit is academic since it is most probable that our solar system will have been destroyed or annhilated long before the heat death of the Universe. Time has no meaning other than what we as humans say it has. There are hypotheses that state that time doesn't actually exist because all events future, past and present are happening simultaneously.

  • @ciaochowbella It's quite fascinating how there are similiarities in descriptive terms from the secular and religious camps; your reply here refers to events happening simultaneously; this is a claim from the religious side too; that God is the Alpha and Omega and omnipresent in a sense. It's fascinating stuff to consider that time is relative to us, but I wonder if there must be an eternal somewhere, some cosmologists are putting forward parallel universe concepts now; fascinating

  • Isn't it nice to feel superior? To take refuge in the intellect? Of course we must take care not to seem too smug and out of touch with our feelings. Pwah! Feelings! Who needs those when we have all these wonderful intellectual concepts that isolate us from that yuckie world of chaotic uncertainty. Of course we may not be fully human but hey ... isn't it nice to feel superior?

  • @guydecervens Yes it is. And sadly, emotions are a cross we all must bear.

  • Poor lady.

  • This woman is experiencing a manic phase.

  • she lives in fear.you let the past dictate your present and worry about the future even tho the past and future do not exist, you only ever have the present

  • "the difference between you and me is nothing, you have your experiences and I have my experiences"

1 We have the same experiences; we just don't find any reason to credit those experiences to any mythological deity.

2 IF there is some sort of deity he either fails to convince us of his presence (if he indeed wants us to believe he exists as theistic doctrine usually describes) and this failing contradicts his supposed omnipotence OR he cruelly wants and created us to burn in hell.

  • WOW she seriosly stupid

  • Sarah McLachlan makes me feel warm.

  • The spiritual feeling she gets when she does something wrong is called.... guilt. She is not guided, her actions are being manipulated by her fear of the consequences of her actions. She just wants to feel special by saying all that.

  • @ebrak47 Well stated.

  • Wow she just blabs and blabs and blabs. Imagine having to .live with such a person day in, day out. Hell indeed!

  • You cant argue AGAINST that, but you cant argue USING that either. Because its all just relative.

  • I hope I have an aneurysm before the end of this video....

  • @nick16watt Nah man, you don't want to die youn.....(HNNNNGHHH...URK.....THUD)

  • Wow! The woman just wasted 7 minutes of my life!

  • She(the caller) was not making any rational sense.

    Katalyzt

  • She's a nice lady i reakon, and has a kinda open mind

  • The truth is very simple- you cannot find 'evidence' of spiritual things in the physical world.

Therefore, in order to find evidence of spiritual things, and things of God, you must look to where they are, that is- in the spirit.

If you would then say, I do not believe in the spirit, it is the same as a blind man saying that he does not believe in sight because he has never experienced it.

  • @teachingsonheaven Ya but you could have someone with sight walking the blind man around, pointing things out like "there's a curb" and then he takes a step, and finds that there is indeed a curb. You could repeat this over and over and over and the sighted person would be right 100% of the time, and the blind man would realize that there is some merit to sight even though he has never experienced it, because it can be demonstrated. You cannot demonstrate spirit cause it doesn't exist sorry

  • @goggletanman Actually it can be demonstrated...but have you met and been around someone who lives in the spirit? if not, your point is not valid, just as a blind man who has not encountered one with sight.

You may say that he would die, and I will say that you are right...however, what you do not know is that living without the spirit, one is actually not alive in the real sense.

  • @teachingsonheaven EvoPortal says exactly what I was going to say. You (the proverbial you, including all other religious-type) have MADE UP spirits and ghosts, and prayer, and gods and angels and all that. They don't exist, and you cling to them because for whatever reason, even though we can prove many things, but you can't prove a single one. Well guess what, reality doesn't give a damn about your beliefs. Just because you want them to be true, doesn't mean they are, so prove it or stop lying

  • @teachingsonheaven Vitalism was disproved ages ago, mate. We don't need a spirit to live. And no one's shown any value to accepting them as real, let alone any evidence. We can prove sight to the blind, hearing to the deaf, the existence of UV light to anyone, and none of us can see UV. Reason and evidence, the best guides to reality EVER.

  • @teachingsonheaven But we CAN prove the existence of sight to the blind man with indisputable evidence. You cant prove "spirits", ghosts, or magical sky daddies in the clouds because they don't exist and there is zero evidence for them. Thats the difference.

  • @EvoPortal I can, but you have to open your eyes

  • @teachingsonheaven if you can, you would be the first ever throughout history. with those odds against you, i would have to say you're full of "it", "it" being shit. personal experience is not evidence. you can believe in anything you want, more than anyone else on the planet, but that doesn't make it a reality just because you believe it to be.

  • @teachingsonheaven that not true silly!!!! IF you clams on the spiritual world is true then there should be other how can provide EVIDENCE!!!!! wow REALITY IS TRUTH !!!!!!!

  • The end is near. Trust Jesus!

  • @itiswrittenbaptist The end is near. Trust Budda!

  • @vcomp1960

There is no end in Buddhism, nor is there a beginning. In Buddhism (and Hinduism) time is circular. Puts a whole different meaning to circular reasoning.

  • @Quintinohthree Then you leave me with no alternative. The end is near. Trust Joseph Smith!

  • "He got ready to go"? You mean like L Ron Hubbard "dropped the body"?

  • doesnt this sound like Pat frum a later show?i think number 676

  • Come on Juanita , you can do better !!!

  • Brainwashed beyond an inch of her life. Damn shame.

  • I thank God that these atheist will burn in hell someday :)

  • @itiswrittenbaptist You hypocrite, every person in this video is morally superior to you. None of them rejoice over the idea of someone's torture.

  • @suicune690 It's not about morals. It's about the Truth and a lie.

  • @itiswrittenbaptist lol, your funny, and naif

  • @itiswrittenbaptist the greatest commandment is that we should love our brothers as we love ourselves so why would you want that on your fellow men and women? I pray to god that they won't burn in hell forever and neither will you or I.

  • @itiswrittenbaptist You revel in the suffering of others. You are a monster.

  • @itiswrittenbaptist Luke 6:27

    BITCH!

  • @itiswrittenbaptist Westboro Inbred Baptist Church huh?

  • @itiswrittenbaptist I thank FSM that I can take your beer volcano and strippers when we die. Christian or not, you are a terrible person. if your god can't fix you maybe you should get counseling or something because you are a sadistic sociopath. please get help. thank you, have a nice day

  • @soundmindwar Amen

  • @itiswrittenbaptist

That's why we love religious people, they never wish ill will on anyone.

  • @itiswrittenbaptist

You are a sick, immoral sociopath. An inhuman monster. A truly evil person...

  • What a nice lady. See? Not al religious people are nutjobs :D

  • something else i dont understand, and find ironic, is when a 'believer' says to his fellow church goers, 'god spoke to me, no he actually spoke - to me!' they treat them like theyre mentally ill. its like, if one member says gods actually speaking directly to them, the others get jealous and say 'no, no, thats wrong, he wouldnt speak to just you. u must be delusional..' sure, they all say 'god speaks to them everyday' but hes not allowed to speak to u directly. kind of hypocrytical.

  • @schneke1 What do you mean feeling impressions? Then, it may be part of her definition of God.

  • I don't know why it has not occured to theists that what they experience is emotions, thoughts, memories and other normal brain processes they experience all the time. They are just picking and choosing which emotions are "god" and which are their own natural ones. Wild guesses.

  • And don't appreciate the comments belittling this caller. She might be scatter brained, but that's just because she doesn't have much experience talking about this sort of stuff. She was polite and bent over backwards to pay respect to the view points of others. I'd sooner like to see a world filled with that sort of attitude than a world without theism (I'm an atheist).

  • @SpazzyMcGee1337 That's true, I agree with you.

  • "Even though an experience might be real, the interpretation of the experience may not be valid". That is a great way she puts that.

  • @SpazzyMcGee1337 That may well be true.

  • 420 likes, no more likes please

  • yea she was a nice caller. i liked that she didnt start preaching to them. i think if the majority of christians were more like her, things would be better for them. its because christians seem to have a moral duty to shove their beliefs down others throats, that gets ppl pissed off. so i believe in effect, christians are their own worst enemy.

  • @123perrin I am my worst enemy. You are your worst enemy. This is Zen for us!

  • @nowayout001 hmmm... ok. thx for that pinch of infinite wisdom.

  • It's so fucking ignorant to say that it's just experiences. No. It's about being wrong, or being right. I like being right. Thanks.

  • I don't really want to bash this lady, if religious people where all like her they'd probably be harmless enough.

Not that I'd share their beliefs, but they'd be okay.

  • she may become atheist

  • This is a great show!

  • ...again I ask, is a person stupid before they are religious or religious before they are stupid...

  • It's so simple: if you weren't already indoctrinated with god belief, you would find other explanations for your doubts, fears, questions, phenomena, and coincidences. You would push yourself further to get to the bottom of it. With a predisposition to belief in the supernatural, it's your easy, shortcut answer, as it requires so little thinking or time to reach for it. Believers are not interested in truth, just quick answers. End of fucking story.

  • @P0weredByPie Matt is that you? lol

  • This lady is just plain NUTS.

  • She sounded like a very nice lady and it's nice they were so gentle with her~

  • Horrible, get it together lady.

  • i wanna take all the bibles in the world ......and in the last page after the last word......write: "just kiddin"

  • @DRakomol That would be legendary win!!!

  • christian in denial

  • The fact that she said that watching her brother die was a "beautiful experience" is a sickening.

  • i really feel sorry for this woman

  • Man, she's just all over the place.

  • i am finding it more and more ironic that a bible study college advert keeps coming up on every atheist experience vid i watch lol

  • @Azurewrath232 I get golfing adds...

  • I just kept skipping to where Matt talked cuz the lady was giving me a serious headache -.- Poor Matt could hardly say anything!

  • It's the ID. lady look it up.

  • i guess she has never heard of a conscience

  • Babbling fucknut.

  • lol dillahunty is trying so hard not to let loose on this woman

  • Kids, listen to this poor lady. This is what religion can do to you!

  • @dycarbon1 When I see a priest, I hide my children. hahahahah.

  • Wow she just wasted alot of time... I think she was having doubts and called in to try and reconfirm herself. She says "im not on that intellectual level." Well her God doesn't disapprove of her reading books does he..? or she..? or it. She could go to a public library and get a book on evolution.

  • She is a nice nutcase

  • @Machineghosts Emphasis on the nice. She sounds like a cool trstworthy person and rather underanged by he faith.

Such a faith may be a boon. But it is, alas faith.

this is a hard one. She may be wrong but she is so nice. I would not attempt to undermine her faith. If she looses it I'd worry. And I for one can do without the worry of doing harm to the innocent in faith.

Yeah I know. makes no good sense. Silly me.

    Kudos fr the post. Interesting.

  • Maybe the psychological attention wouldn't have been such a bad idea...

  • She's just rambling. This is embarrassing.

  • @OkWheresMyMonkey your description of sanity is very very narrow I see.

  • @OkWheresMyMonkey she further explained other things as well. Why do you selective listen!

  • Also, having 'supernatural' experience doesn't mean God...now we know more about Quantum, almost anything is possible. My friend, a firm atheist, does believe often he sees the future in his dreams. So, this may be due to how time might be working. Our minds are very powerful that we don't know whether we are interacting with other dimensions on daily basis and what that might mean for us and our experiences! So, calling someone dellusional is bigoted and unfair.

  • She doesn't have a clue what bi-polar and schizophrenic is.

She just tosses terms around. Let alone she knows that that is even a neuro-biological disorder.

But at least she is trying to understand more, and that is always a good sign.

  • @gunblade64 she doesn't know but she doesn't have to know. She is saying that that is the response she gets from people when she shares her extra ordinary experiences with others!

  • Heres a thought (just a thought). Imagine there are two sides of your brain. One deals with logic, mechanics, mathematics etc. The other deals with spirituality, emotion, love, fear etc. Now drive a big fucking 'Distorted' stake through the centre of those two halves (call it religion) & make it virtually imposssible for those two modes of reasoning to communicate.

  • Tracie is a cutie

  • @laib17 agreed and I think her explanations are the best! (well Matt is second best ;) )

  • I never get over how the show always starts with them staring deadpan at the camera, it's kind of funny.

  • As the late Barry Champlain once said, "How do you dial a phone with a straitjacket on?"

  • Despite her struggle to articulate her thoughts and feelings, I don't mind this caller. She was at least courteous and honest about her beliefs and seems to put some effort into trying to think about them.

  • Fuuuuuuuuuuuuuuck, Juanita. What the fuck are you talking about????

  • HELLNo, I need to[become and atheist] find a smart atheist who can outsmart himself And show me with scientific Facts confirming the nonExistence of God so I can kill/hang myself

  • What is the '2010' she talks about?

  • If your a good person it doesnt matter what you believe...im an athiest but if the belief of a God gives comfort then is it really that wrong?

  • @dilwich123 If people held religious beliefs in a vacuum, then I don't think there would be anything at all wrong with believing. However, religious beliefs are not held in a vacuum; as Dillahunty himself has said many times, people's beliefs inform their actions, and religions tend to lump in insidious beliefs alongside innocuous beliefs. Religion thus drives bigotry, violence, division, and oppression while also hindering valuable scientific progress in order to perpetuate itself.

  • @Nuzzlemeister I think you summed up in that one comment what people take hours and hours of argument to express.....Well said my friend ;-)

  • @dilwich123 Wrong no, irrational and possibly even stupid, yes.

  • Seriously, why do black people become christians? Do they realize that christianity was used to justify slavery? And the logic doesn't work. See, you are christian today because christianity was brought to you via slavery. therefore you are supporting slavery by being a christian.

  • @phalluses that logic doesnt work but yeah I get the point. It doesnt matter how it was introduced to them tho, they are not slaves now and are continuing to propogate the belief system. I don't think it means they support slavery just because the religion may have been forced upon them that way.

  • @phalluses Well many BLACKS were christian before rome and Constantine sorry you was unaware of this! But I get your point I'd rather focus on why anyone becomes a christian because its just well stupid!

  • What she's describing is her conscience, knowing what's right any wrong even before she knew the bible or god, so obviously she's just playing god of the gaps. She doesn't understand how/why we have a conscience so she places it with god. It's almost sad because she seems scared of it, if only she could understand the truth and really be free, I think she would feel a lot better and less pressured to hide her feelings.

  • How is it that pple's extraordinary experiences translates into believing in the stupidity of the Bible is beyond me..

  • @uuduu7 I know right? They're basically saying "the lump in my breast disappeared, therefore Jesus walked on water and rose from the dead." The two things don't connect, but in their fucked up mind, it makes sense.

  • Atheists," 3 The pride of your heart has deceived you, you who live in the clefts of the rocks [a] and make your home on the heights, you who say to yourself, 'Who can bring me down to the ground?' 4 Though you soar like the eagle and make your nest among the stars, from there I will bring you down," declares the LORD.

  • Both of them were Christians for a great many years. No, they were merely carnal unsaved luke-warm Christians.

  • Let us wipe down atheists from the face of the earth because their life has no meaning; and anything that has not a reason to be here, there is no reason to keep it alive. You won’t go to jail for throwing trash into the trash can.

  • Your life is worthless too, why waste time with this life when we got a beautiful wonderland waiting for us? Kill yourself now! Do it!

  • @Airlightf ah you god it all wrong son, the atheists DO have a reason for being here, they got no afterlife to look forward to so their existence on earth is infinitely more meaningful than a theists life. Really, we should wipe the theists from the face of the earth, THEY'VE got no reason to be here. Kill 'em all, then they can get to heaven faster like they all so desperately want to.

  • @Airlightf Well, just incase you didn't pick up on it, i myself am an atheist. i say god doesnt exist. do you have any proof that he does or are you just going to copy and paste your original response again.

Also, you know who else though a certain group of people were useless and should be exterminated? That's right, everyone's favourite dictator, HITLER!!! Fucking neo-nazi, yeah you reflect really well on the christian community.

  • @Airlightf I was thinking that you should probably go and try to fuck yourself.

  • @Airlightf And this is why your religion is fake and dangerous! Christianity is the most evil religion of all Islam can not compare to your sickness. LETS WIPE THEM OUT CAUSE THEY REFUSE TO BELIEVE? YOU JUST SET YOURSELF ABOVE YOUR GOD HOW BLASPHEMES! IF god saw fit to let people choose who the hell are you to go against that damn devil!

  • @yahshuah29 Atheists’ arguments against God are laughable and moronic: If I can give Christians a better life (than the kind of life Jesus—their king—gives them) or at least show them[convince them with facts my way is better than Jesus’] the best way to live life, then I have a right to open my mouth and speak up. But if I cannot do either, then the best thing for me to do is to shut my mouth and let Christians live their lives in Jesus’ Love, Way, and truth!!!

  • @Airlightf how are their argument moronic? I think you have a misunderstanding of athiesm they are not arguing against god they are asking you to demonstrate the credibility of your beliefs if you can not that is your problem and it demonstrates the falsehood of your beliefs! Atheist would be the first to follow god if its existence can be demonstrated the problem is christians just quote a book and talk about feelings and shit if you can not show proof no one should believe it period!

  • @yahshuah29 Hmm. Am I God to demostrate you I Exist? Why hasn't God proved to you about His Existence? --We hold the undisputable fact of God’s existence. Now, it is you’re your task is to disprove that which is undisputable among us, atheists. –the burden is on you

  • @Airlightf I met god & jesus they told me to write a new bible u do not know god my bible says that christianity is satan worship Simon 4:17 I am your god I called u forth from the womb of your mother to smite the devil they say they are of my church but they are not! For they have committed blasphemy in the eye of the lord. u follow a false church that is the only truth & u can not depute that. Show 1 shred of evidence that your church is the true church I know u cannot I have the1 true faith

  • @Airlightf NO, actually. Atheists do NOT have the burden of proof. We are not the ones making a positive claim, that is, a claim that something DOES exist. You, however, are making the claim that a God exists. Therefore, it is up to you to prove your claim true. We atheists maintain the position that until you can prove it, we will not believe it. Neutrality is the default position when any claim is made that cannot be proven. You've had 2,000 years to prove it and you've failed miserably.

  • @cdswainey Who do you think I am? Your Mama/Daddy? If I was your Mama/Daddy, I would slap you in the face. You don’t prove to me your Mama/Daddy exist. Now, if I was greater than God, then, yeah, I would slap you in the face really good to make you understand you are a hypocrite. But I am not God to prove to you I exist. With your Mama/Daddy, is different, you tell him/her ‘’get over here, and he/she does.’ Bring me that and that, and they bring it/them to you.” ;)

  • @Airlightf Okay, that has absolutely nothing to do with what I said but I'll go with it. Please verify how what I said was hypocritical in any way. And by the way, if God is all powerful and chooses not to prove to me unequivocally that he exists, then I have every reason not to believe in him. Also, while I disagree strongly with your beliefs (and use of grammar and syntax) I would never threaten to hit you because you held them.

  • @cdswainey Hmm. Brainless atheists never understand anything. But you have to understand what I say, just accept you are wrong.
