If you would look at which time this vid has been posted you would know that he plays on Korean Version of Aion, and if you would play a lot u would see that his gear is almost all Gold and he has Godstones on his weapons.

My glad for example has all gold but only 50% is lvl50 armor, half of it is still level 43 armor so I also won't call it awsome. I think my glad's gear is "good" not more and not less. Probably in in 1-2 months I have all gold armor on lvl50 then we can talk about my "awsome" armor.
btw you're absolute wrong with that because everyone has the chance to get himself that equipment. Most people just don't wanna spend that much time go get it or are too lazy. Even if you're not good at pvp you can get it, just farm those guards near a fortress they give you a lot XP plus AP.
I played diff mmorpg b4 and I'm now looking to start a new one. Is aion any good? Thsi vid was pretty cool but I see a lot of people posting on other vids that this game sucks etc, can i get some opinions from non bias people?
The thing with L2 was, you basically needed to buy adena to get anything decent.. Drops were so rare in L2 that you couldn't depend on them for getting gear for your toon.
But at least with aion, you get some basic green gear from quests to get you by, then once you learn some higher level crafting skill..
no its not like rogue in wow. assassin in this game are much ..like a real ninja. its all about speed, crits and depending on the class ur fighting some good control over ur target. overall just imagine a rogue with insane amount of Haste and Crit . and few stuns
the OP class in pvp aion right now its Templars. they can easily fight against 5 players without problem. but trought they are most hardest class to level up.
Rogues and Assassins by definition are different and you can see this more in MMOs that have both classes availible. The Assassins in this game are like most games that have them. The rely on speed and crits. Rogues in most games rely on other things to increase damage output. Although the WoW rogue and it's ability to DW kinda makes it like an assassin but with a lot of utility
Assassin's are only facerolling if the player is fucking crazy. The class takes so much practice and is considered one of the harder classes to play in general.
Assassins are one of the most difficult classes to play in Aion. They don't work like Rogues in WoW, who can just stunlock ppl to death. A lot of Assassins are actually having trouble killing other players. Of course this isn't the case in this video, since she is ganking low level players.
classes are pretty much balanced imo not the rogues of WoW that kill u with 2 multilates....the game is pure skill imo if u can play ur class u pwn simply put. there might be slight advantages when facing some classes like templars vs clerics but still i think skill is what counts the most then gear ofc
resilience? NP. 2 Mutilate ? so you have ( max) 5k or 7k hp.

In guild wars the healer must be aware of the his teammate's health all the time and he must improvise who'll be most usefull for the team if 2 are on the verge of death , thats the argue for GW and for lineage .. idk i just played it for like an year and everyone was owning me when i was with an imba character (shillien knight) .. for l2 im not talking about skill .. im talking about crafting and stuff .. all the necessery things .. i barely manage to make dual swords..idk why it was so hard-_-
No, you're thinking this because of the animation+unecessary cooldown timing.
the cooldown activates after spell, meaning you are limited. But, this keeps others from totally spamming skills and nuking you. Point n' Klik is optional. So yeah. But I do see where you're coming from. you just have to wait a patch or two. Depending on the length of wait between the two.
nope I'm not talking about spamming = skill, but I leave you alone with your dreams. By the way sorcerer have one or three skill to spam to doom you, is that skill ? nvm I've not played Aion since one or two months.
Like GW or L2 because : "I click on a skill and my character face my enemy", it's too easy. I prefer the pvp fight system in wow, even if the game became crap. At least you can do moves and you can do many strat/tricks. Tht's what I like, I hope that blade & soul will be way better than Aion, let's pray T.T. However if you like Aion np everyone have their taste so. But I seriously didn't like the space (4 maps for asmo & elyos KK), the fight system and ...bashing to death less than L2 but...
nvm I don't play this anymore, but being at lvl 35 helps you to see some stuffs. And I prefer the gameplay of WoW where you got more freedom during the fights whereas in Aion I felt...like trapped. But that's my opinion.

Aion is very balanced out, so no class is better than any other class. It's just about how skilled you are at the class. If you like want to hit people from a distance, and know how to kite fairly, then you should be a ranger. If you know how to stealth properly without being seen, and can get around places, then you should be a Sin.
It's arguable that a Sin has more fun in PvP though, as you can see in this video. (;
I've always been a Sin, so I'm know how to use one, so that's what I'ma be.
I think the flying in this game ruins it. Makes running away in PvP common and insanely dull. Any there any battlegrounds sort of thing, where they basically clip your wings is its just all ground PvP ?
In the abyss, you can fly in most of it, but in the immediate area surrounding the fortresses you can not fly. This is because there are strategic choke points placed in areas to encourage better battles.
Although teh flight in the game is much more strategic then you probably think - it makes things more tactical and quite the opposite of "common and dull"
Assassin's only run away when they have to, compared to the alternative with other classes, where you'd just die. (Unless your a Cleric.)
Assassins are "melee", and, in fact, do the most DPS for melee. In the beginning, Assassins have a rough time. In the end game though, Assassins rule the Abyss. Look at the Korean rankings; and notice the classes of all the top ranked people. (:

I've noticed that some folks still don't understand the concept of an assassin. There is no playing fair for an assassin. We take advantage of every chance we get including ones that would seem unfair to others. But hey, like we care, we are assassins after all. :)

Is it open combat in AION similar to WOW or is the pvp system more like NCsofts other games with a Karma system where you get "flagged" and you can "go red" by killing unflagged people?
From what I've seen and experienced myself, it looks to be a completely open pvp system where there really is no safe ground anywhere. Unless they change something that is.
i'm not sure how wow pvp works, but aion is indeed an "open" system that encourages pvp. instead of reprimanding players for killing others, you gain "abyss points" which is used for everything from individual/clan ranking to end-game armors/weapons.
there is a designated pvp zone. there is also a way to "invade" the lvl 20+ opposing race's lands.

Oh and last but not least if you don't wanna farm all the AP for an abyss armor you can craft for a gold armor.

no its not like rogue in wow. assassin in this game are much ..like a real ninja. its all about speed, crits and depending on the class ur fighting some good control over ur target. overall just imagine a rogue with insane amount of Haste and Crit . and few stuns
the OP class in pvp aion right now its Templars. they can easily fight against 5 players without problem. but trought they are most hardest class to level up.

Rogues and Assassins by definition are different and you can see this more in MMOs that have both classes availible. The Assassins in this game are like most games that have them. The rely on speed and crits. Rogues in most games rely on other things to increase damage output. Although the WoW rogue and it's ability to DW kinda makes it like an assassin but with a lot of utility

Assassin's are only facerolling if the player is fucking crazy. The class takes so much practice and is considered one of the harder classes to play in general.
I'm still practicing my assassin skills :P

Assassins are one of the most difficult classes to play in Aion. They don't work like Rogues in WoW, who can just stunlock ppl to death. A lot of Assassins are actually having trouble killing other players. Of course this isn't the case in this video, since she is ganking low level players.

classes are pretty much balanced imo not the rogues of WoW that kill u with 2 multilates....the game is pure skill imo if u can play ur class u pwn simply put. there might be slight advantages when facing some classes like templars vs clerics but still i think skill is what counts the most then gear ofc

Skill > Gear in Aion ? nope, I don't think so : fight a guy with the same class of yours, same skill but you have a full green stuff and him blue / yellow. Then tell me whos the best.
Loved aion but this pvp with ganking low lvls sucks.

the only strategy in guild wars is the one with the 8 skills ... it's still stupid and the only ppl that need a decent amount of skill are healers BUT dont talk about lineage !!! Lineage is the hardest MMO ever created so you take back those words before playing the game ... it's far more complicated than WoW

Healers in GW don't need anyskill lol :O just spamming 1 2 3 and that's all you're full life again. Btw can you argue why it's more complicated? (L2)

In guild wars the healer must be aware of the his teammate's health all the time and he must improvise who'll be most usefull for the team if 2 are on the verge of death , thats the argue for GW and for lineage .. idk i just played it for like an year and everyone was owning me when i was with an imba character (shillien knight) .. for l2 im not talking about skill .. im talking about crafting and stuff .. all the necessery things .. i barely manage to make dual swords..idk why it was so hard-_-

No, you're thinking this because of the animation+unecessary cooldown timing.
the cooldown activates after spell, meaning you are limited. But, this keeps others from totally spamming skills and nuking you. Point n' Klik is optional. So yeah. But I do see where you're coming from. you just have to wait a patch or two. Depending on the length of wait between the two.

Like GW or L2 because : "I click on a skill and my character face my enemy", it's too easy. I prefer the pvp fight system in wow, even if the game became crap. At least you can do moves and you can do many strat/tricks. Tht's what I like, I hope that blade & soul will be way better than Aion, let's pray T.T. However if you like Aion np everyone have their taste so. But I seriously didn't like the space (4 maps for asmo & elyos KK), the fight system and ...bashing to death less than L2 but...

at 35, an assassin will probably have 3-3.5k hp, give or take a couple hundred HP.
And thats just how an assassin is played, surprise attack or ganking... and 35 is considered low level.. especially in the Korean servers.

nvm I don't play this anymore, but being at lvl 35 helps you to see some stuffs. And I prefer the gameplay of WoW where you got more freedom during the fights whereas in Aion I felt...like trapped. But that's my opinion.

All depends on your playing style. Up close and personal is the assassin, ranged is the ranger. Whichever you like is up to you.

Aion is very balanced out, so no class is better than any other class. It's just about how skilled you are at the class. If you like want to hit people from a distance, and know how to kite fairly, then you should be a ranger. If you know how to stealth properly without being seen, and can get around places, then you should be a Sin.
It's arguable that a Sin has more fun in PvP though, as you can see in this video. (;
I've always been a Sin, so I'm know how to use one, so that's what I'ma be.

I think the flying in this game ruins it. Makes running away in PvP common and insanely dull. Any there any battlegrounds sort of thing, where they basically clip your wings is its just all ground PvP ?

In the abyss, you can fly in most of it, but in the immediate area surrounding the fortresses you can not fly. This is because there are strategic choke points placed in areas to encourage better battles.
Although teh flight in the game is much more strategic then you probably think - it makes things more tactical and quite the opposite of "common and dull"

Assassin's only run away when they have to, compared to the alternative with other classes, where you'd just die. (Unless your a Cleric.)
Assassins are "melee", and, in fact, do the most DPS for melee. In the beginning, Assassins have a rough time. In the end game though, Assassins rule the Abyss. Look at the Korean rankings; and notice the classes of all the top ranked people. (:

Assassins in Aion are not OP, and, again, every class is balanced out. If your skilled at your class, you'll win; if your not, you'll lose.
No class is OP, or UP, for that matter. If you were good at paladins back in WoW, then you should be a Templar in Aion.
Be sure to join Zikel Asmodians though, so that I can cream you in the abyss. (;

I've noticed that some folks still don't understand the concept of an assassin. There is no playing fair for an assassin. We take advantage of every chance we get including ones that would seem unfair to others. But hey, like we care, we are assassins after all. :)

From what I've seen and experienced myself, it looks to be a completely open pvp system where there really is no safe ground anywhere. Unless they change something that is.

i'm not sure how wow pvp works, but aion is indeed an "open" system that encourages pvp. instead of reprimanding players for killing others, you gain "abyss points" which is used for everything from individual/clan ranking to end-game armors/weapons.
there is a designated pvp zone. there is also a way to "invade" the lvl 20+ opposing race's lands.
