  • monster energy drink and this fucking heavy song go hand and hand if u wanna headbang

  • i love buckethead!!!!!! but how does he name his songs lol?

  • @TheScorpionsfan with his imagination

  • One thing that I like about Buckethead over say for example, Steve Vai or Joe Satriani, is there's generally absolutely no singing in his songs.

  • @TheOriginaDoomtastic Enter the Chicken has songs with vocals in them, though.

  • @mikeguitar41 Hence the "generally" part :P

  • @TheOriginaDoomtastic Sorry, I'm Finnish. My Englishmreally isn't perfect

  • @mikeguitar41 S'ok I live here and my English can be pretty sub-par sometimes.

  • Sounds like the poor mans version of Steve Vai...good technique...Has BH ever worked with Mike Patton?

  • @rb7magnetico Yes actually. Look up a project called Moonraker.

  • @rb7magnetico

    Poor man's version? Explain, please.

  • @rb7magnetico LOOK AT HIM, LOOK AT HIM AND LAUGH

  • @rb7magnetico OMG someone should make that happen. I'll shplotz thats for sure.

  • they should pay buckethead for even making a game called guitar hero

  • im feeling like a beautiful but forgotten fountain these days.tell me something ,could d easily be a soda fountain like mountain eewww

  • Gotta Frank Zappa unpredictability to this one, Buckhead rules!

  • Haha, this song has a somewhat funny ring to it in my opinion.

(it's not a negative comment, i still think the song is good)

  • 36666 views.. lol..

  • live is good but this one is even better.....

  • Only 3:23 min long :(

  • Guitar Hero will never come close to recreating this atmosphere

  • @UhOhRetardAlert it doesnt try to

  • is there 2 versions of this song because the one i have is edited differently O.o

  • Putting a genre on Buckethead is impossible, he doesn't play one thing, even in his songs you cant nail just one genre to any song. He plays MUSIC and all of music...if anything, he made a genre on his own "Pure Awesomeness."

  • @Shaqhawk Well, Primus has its own genre, according to long-time fans. I think Buckethead's music its own genre too, don't you think? I can't find anything by anyone else that sounds close to his stuff, so why not, right?

  • @uofm97 I can not find any one near anything that buckethead has done but i still don't think that his music is his own genre because it is too diverse really. I also think Buckethead was making his music with out the thought of "I want to achieve this feeling/sound/technique...etc" I think that Buckethead was just playing music to match his feelings

  • @Shaqhawk Right on. That was exactly what I was getting at. :)

  • lol, the last part is the best.

  • i fuckin love the shit outta bucketheads heavy shit. ive been practicin spokes and this song for about a year now. in about another half year im going to play them with my band live to show fuckers what real heavy music is about! btw maggot ur teh fuckin man!

  • I fucking love Jamaican patties.

  • @yourwrongbro

me too, they're really good with some proper ginger beer and jalapeno dipping sauce.

  • @yourwrongbro fagg

  • ur fingers are fucked.

  • Wicked

  • when the boogy man goes to bed at night he checks his closet for Chuck Norris, when Chuck Norris goes to bed at night he checks his closet for Buckethead

  • @maggotaacand when Buckethead goes to bed at night he checks.... oh, wait he doesn't go to bed

  • Damn every Buckethead song ive listened to never disappoints me. 10/5 keep killin it Buckethead!

  • Why care about genre? Listen to what you love and keep your ears open for anything else out there.

  • The BUCKET DAGGER --0===>

  • one of the songs on the album...... Cuckoo clocks of hell, best song!!!!!

  • nice hq upload going in my list

  • ummm couldnt we agree that the genre is bucket?

  • i agree

    \m/

  • I agree :)

  • Why's everyone arguing over genres. Fuck the theory, just listen to the music.

  • cudint agree more

  • i disagree, buckethead plays every kind of different style but his sound is always futuristic.

  • would people agree that he has three styles of music, Mellow guitar such as electric tears and colma, heavy rythmic such as soothsayer and final wars and random riffs and sounds like songs off kalaidascope album?

  • He has plenty more than that. He can do blues like Population Override (search for Too Many Humans) and hardcore metal like Bucketheadland 2 and Inbred Mountain and Island of Lost Minds. He can also do melodic metal like King James and Stretching Lighthouse, pretty much all of Pepper's Ghost and DTTOB. He can even do funk, like Fizzy Lipton Drink from EMAC.

  • Are you just applying song genre's you've heard about and put them into BH songs?

All of Bucketheadland2 is Avante Garde Metal. And king james is Progressive Metal. Crime Slunk Scene is a combination of these to with mecha gigan and the well known soothsayer. King James is in that album too. Most of his songs fall under these 2. A lot of his other stuff like The Great Eyeball in the sky is funk.

  • So basically Metal.

And then it becomes jazz and blues and funk and new age and ambient and folk and even bluegrass with the other albums. Take your pick.

  • well just because he plays one song with the bluegrass feel doesnt make him a bluesgrass guitarist. Hog Bitch Stomp being the only 1 song i've found.

Many guitarists play a variety of music. When Buckethead plays anything jazz, youre probably mixing it up with blues.Jazz usually has ragtime with syncopated beats or swing and ive yet to see that.Plus, with Bh's natural minor (aeolian) is one of those that can be easily alters to a blues or jazz scale. For blues all you have to do is add the 4th.

  • and if you want to get technical, nearly any band can have more than one genre.

There are always debates like the one about Parkway Drive being a metalcore or hardcore band. IMO they're metalcore, but the DVD's say they've had hardcore influence.

and in my last post, it's supposed to be altered*.

When you 1st start playing guitar, and after a few months you're introduced to blues and stuff. And you probably started off with learning classical. So that's you playing 2 genres already.

  • are u a parkway drive fan?

  • yeah. I'm trying to get different influences now b/c my guitar playing started sounding too much like BH. I also like LOG, Born of Osiris, After the burial, All shall Perish, some In Flames, and other bands too.

  • damn dude u listen to the same music i do....every one of them bands is great......i also subscribed to ur channel....ur a damn good guitarist

  • u mean kaleidoscalp?

  • technically speaking he is an Avante Garde musician but thats me using bigs words i got from his Wikipedia page

  • Yeah a lot of buckethead fans don't really know anything about other music and anything about music theory.

I always see people say "he plays hundreds or genres." But they can't even name 10. Mainly b/c they're only like 12

And there a lot of avante garde musicans and bands out there. There's like this one band called Behold the Arctopus. They're horrible in my opinion guitar-wise. But as for song-making they're quite amazing and weird. Try to remember how to play any of their songs.

  • there is a shit load of genres more then 12.. i can name them off my head, blues, fusion, rock, heavy metal, hard rock, jazz, orchestral,nu metal, acid rock, dnb, techno, death metal.

  • Anyone can name the genres. But you don't actually listen to all of them right?

I don't really care for genres, but i just don't like how people use it as an asset for BH. I love him for the music, not for how many genres he can play or how fast he is.

  • yeah i actually listen to all of his shit actually. not on a daily basis but its all loaded into my computer thanks to Cd ripping.

  • theres more than that xD

  • hell yeah.

  • @Eradicateify

industrial metal, industrial, dark wave, new age, vintage rock, acid jazz, acid blues, punk, R&B, noise, electro wave, avant-garde, experimental, alternative, progressive, indie, neo-classical, doom metal, black metal, gothic rock, punk rock, swing, folk, freak folk, tribal, ambient, power metal, j-rock, funk.. there are many variations and combinations but that pretty much covers it.

  • @Kenshinhiri

    yeah dont forget D&B too.

  • love it bucket boy... keep my mind moving..helps me stay focused.. thanx..

  • I am finding a whole bucnch of new buckethead songs today...they are amazing!

  • I believe buckethead is hundreds of years old....and has written music through the centuries

  • Hi, I like to goto all Buckethead's videos and say the same thing.

  • buckethead tak emy away!!!!!!!.........WOOOOOOO

  • Ever see him play this live? Its absolutely incredible

  • iwhen i hear BH-songs i think they have 2 parts.....the"evil" one and the "good" one...those together = the Awesome one

Buckethead rocks the world....and the bucketheadland :D

    \m/

  • yeah a lot of his albums have songs with "normal" sounding parts with little interlude's of "buckethead" sounding parts, for example listen to the song in Search of Inbred Mountain and you'll see what I'm talking about

  • Lol.

    People are so stupid...

Not all rap is the same shit you hear on the radio.

I listen to quite a variety of genres, including Buckethead. However, I absolutely hate mainstream rap for multiple reasons.

    1. It sucks.

    2. It gives good rap a bad name.

When I'm depressed, the only music that makes me feel better is hip-hop. Underground hip-hop...Where they rap about things that mean something.

I, myself, play guitar, keyboard, piano, and have just gotten into actually rapping myself. ...Yeah.

  • lol i don't know why you got five thumbs down for that comment, I'm pretty much a metal head and i respect underground hip hop like immortal technique because underground hip hop artists are actually very skilled, try freestyling, trust me its not easy to do

  • Yeah, exactly. It's not even like I'm implying that people should listen to hip-hop...I'm just sayin' people should stop trashing it.

That's just narrow minded, and for some people like me, annoying as fuck.

  • i like both styles of music, you just have to know the right shit to listen to.

  • yea i was once a huge rap head, but i dont like it so much any more,i got playin GH and made me listen to new music,so i switched to metal and classic rock, but your right freestylin is hard at first but you get the hang of it,and undergrong rap is amazing

  • same here

  • woah why all the thumbs downs :o that was a brilliant comment

  • good music is good music. stop bitching.its ok to think for yourself and listen to whatever you want

  • *sigh* one day you'll all get it......

Ahem. There comes a time in everyone's life where you realize music is like candy.....and you shoud throw the (w)rappers away.

  • When Rap started it was good because people put there heart and soul into it. But now its just a cash grab.

  • Yeah the rappers they put on tv and the radio now are mostly trash but its a few dozen rappers they are very talented and respect the art of rhyming that you wont hear if you just rely on the tv and radio

  • @LobstersAreMetal MOSTLY TRUE BUT THEY'RE ARE EXCEPTIONS

  • @LobstersAreMetal

You could say that about any mainstream genre... Theres more than enough rap artists that havnt sold out, you should look harder.

  • @LobstersAreMetal Not all rap - there is still good rap out there!

  • i think buckethead rocks so much. i dont much agree with his songwriting tho :S

  • then listen other BHs songs. It's good that he has wide variety of songs : D

  • good comment

  • All I really listened to is rap.....Until I found out about Buckethead, Paul gilbert, and Shawn lane!!! Then I said fuck rap and hello too amazing guitar players.

  • Good for you

  • okay, I don't understand why people are talking about rap here, (HELLO), this is Buckethead's page! Anyways, I would like to state that even though I hate mostly ALL rap, there are a few exceptional rap artist that are far more intellectual than your average person. I can understand why a lot of people hate it. Folks, the radio plays some mindless stuff- but hell, every music genre has its shitty artists, did somebody say Jonas Brothers??

  • I know, I did not just mention that hideous band.

  • the only good rap is old school, and immortal technique. (a tribe called quest, and wu-tang clan.) buckethead is my fav artist of all time check my favorites and rhcp

  • God, buckethead is so disgusting, it's sounds so great.

  • ...

  • His tone almost sounds like it's chugging water on this album. Never noticed it:?

  • hail buckethead

  • This man is very creative and dynamic in his music--something most people don't have in today's music.

  • i totally disagree look at mainstream rap thats very dynamic and creative... bitches hoes and money thats gotta be right up there with like jesus yeh know?

  • RAP!? ORIGINAL? CREATIVE!? WTF!?!?!?!? every rap song sounds just like all rap songs!! -.-

the melody probebly isn´t even created by the raper himself... -.- Buckethead is the most creative, original and best guitarist I´ve ever herd

  • thats the retarded comercial shit . u know only about that shit becuz thats promoted .

  • what about wu-tang?

  • haha all rappers suck big dick. rap is a joke and it shouldnt even be around, its a discrace to music and it knows it.

  • Exactly right! Rap is shit end of story. The most basic form of music. Absolutely minimal. I love to read comments by actual human fuckin beings. I wish you well, good sir.

  • same to u. and hopefully in a year every half ass rapper will stop trying and give up in life like they should have years ago.

  • I like some rap, just the old school. But you know what genre of music we SHOULD be bashing? COUNTRY.

  • Country can be okay (like if buckethead plays it) but it has this sound with their nasily voices I don't like.

  • lol, buckethead plays everything, literally, from Shred Metal, to Creepy Stuff, to Beautiful Acoustics, To fun catchy songs, to sad songs, its amazing. I don't know anyone else who can do those things

  • which would make him the best artist alive in my opinion. art so versatile!

  • second that... the best one alive... creative + versatile + great performer + cool story behind the artist + every reason youre hearing his music.... what more can you ask?

  • @soloseeker77

    ur mom

    while she was raising you.

  • @maseratiquattroport his mama played metal ??? AWESOME !!

  • @maseratiquattroport that made no sense at all you fail

  • @BerserkKai

    I dnt have to ... u fail

  • @maseratiquattroport you put a mom joke in a place that doesnt fit your either 10 years old are just dumb

  • @soloseeker77 HE'S THE MASTER OF ALL TRADES , bucket is

  • lmao. except johnny cash :p

  • yes!I agree!!!

  • exactly im tired of ppl giving me shit about how i dont like lil wayne RAP ARTISTS ARNT TALENTED IN ANY WAY!!!! the only good ones are old school ones that basically invented it

  • exactly

  • he's the best

  • amazing

  • BUCKETHEAD IS GOD HIMSELF!

  • SWEET

  • everytime i think i found bucketheads best song, i find a better one...

  • Same dude

  • All of his songs are his best.

  • SAME!!

  • Then don't come onto Buckethead videos where people are likely to be saying that, dipshit.

  • why do u care?

  • Buckethead pwns!

  • Wow, That Was AWESOME, thanks BH.

  • OMG! I love BucketHead so much! He is my saver, he is my Rock and Roll God!
