Armenia was part of Persia. Nevertheless, Armenia is oldest christian country and history says it is just INDEPENDENT CULTURE, not a part of Persian culture.
Ohhhhhh thank you for posting! Loooooove it! Please someone can give me information about this music? It´s a medley, so... name of the musics? Composers? Where are they from?
Samuel Yervinian is god. He brings dead wood and wire to life. He commands them to speak the secret language of the heart that knows no bound of age or birth.
@lahorichikur y dont u just shut up and listen to the music and bte persian aka Iran music is way better than dumb indian, listen to shadmehr aghili doing popcorn in concert u douche
@AdrikFoaman acttually there's a possibility i can learn how to play it XD ... I mean , a friend of mine told me few days ago he knows someone who teaches that *-* .. so i'm hopeful for that . YAY ! lol
@AdrikFoaman Well , this is totally true haha , but i don't wanna be THAT awesome , you know ? I mean , just a simple musician , like a hobby or something . Thanks anyway :D
not gunna lie.... after hearing most of his composing.... i decided to buy a violin and become like him... it's so magical... like a snake to a flute... im the snake...
makes me wonder why the radio plays such shit like Katy Perry when this GENIUS could be inspiring people with his crazy amazing talent. I hate that sluts can get so much recognition just for the fact of being a slut and I have never heard of this guy before...what has this world come to? smh
Love the music can't even doubt that it's a work of a master. Just FYI Iranians had artists way before Safavid period. I'm not trying to belittle Armenians or their contributions to world of art but to say art was brought to Iran around the Savafid period by Armenians is like saying Rome was only advanced during the renaissance period and completely neglecting the Roman empire and the Etruscans all together. As far as I'm concerned Kudos to the artists and in this case musicians of both nations.
So expressive and emotional performance. He's just extremely moving and inspirational... And the origins of this music. I just hope diversity never seize to exist! With a lot of appreciation, a greek fan.
I´m "occidental" actually european, and I don´t mind where this music is from, I just love the way he plays, we are all citizens of this world, and the music same as all the other arts don´t understand of frontiers. Peace for everybody.
Armenians gave the Iranians the Arts, look at their Theater/Cinema + the best Persian Carpet Makers were Armenians thats why Shah Abbas the 1 brought the Armenians to Iran to Jolfa and gave them their own private area
@cinemats Well, i have listened to him a lot to speak in this way, i am not the kind of persona who repeat like parrots the mainstream. I don't find any fellings on him at all. Perhaps i should listen his DVD -which one?-, but regarding what i have listened of him, i only notice speed demonstration in his soloing.
@mjecpa That's unfortunately a huge misconception regarding John Petrucci live appearance and playing style. Even tho he may seem stiff some times is only because of his incredible focus to the song his playing. When he play emotional you will see that he loosens up too.
You should check out Dream Theater Live in Budokan. There's a huge variety of Dream Theater songs from mellow to harsh and speedy and slow. I hope you like it!
although he is a good violin player, but he didnt perform this music well.the persian, turkish or arabic music has a different touch to play. especially for a violin player. but i like his classical or armenian perform.
OK, boys, now that you had your littel fight! please note that music is an universal language and belongs to all and anybody who appreciates it. One should give credit to the composer -none given here! and to the performer(s) This is indeed a great performance! Cheers!
Dear tooazytosearchanick, I think I am missing your point! Anybody who knows and enjoys Master Yervinyan great music and performance knows that he is Arminian. It just happens that this compositions name is "Persian Melody" Aslo, I should add that Arminia is a great country with very old culture and intresting point about Arminans is that more live outside of Arminia, and some may be such as yourself were not born there, but still an Arminian. Cheers & Lets enjoy the music!
Persian or not Persian, this guy is genius and the music is amazing.

@furicoide In order for Samvel to play the way he does now, he has been playing the violin since he was 7 years old xD
It's not a walk in the park, to master a musical instrument you are going to have to play half your life before you actually do something about it.
But I still wish you good luck in any case :)
