its easier to make a staircase down instead of Stright down then if you hit bedrock (adminium) go up about 7 blocks then dig out diamond spawn inbetween layer 10-16 the bedrock is 5 layers thick easiest way for me anyway to find diamond

Misa texture pack has clear glass with no bits in the middle of the squares..... didn't explain that very well did I? to get diamods here is the strategy

at bedrock the level you were at above it all is 5

diamonds spawn between 1 and 16

so you want to tunnel through 14 and 15

that way showing 8 blocks per block broken

also this speeds it up because now you know where diamonds are

logs = 1.5 blocks

planks = 1.5 blocks

sticks = .5 blocks

lava bucket = 100 blocks

also, fences, wood stairs, crafting tables, bookshelves, chests, jukeboxes, and noteblocks all smelt 1.5 blocks each.

also sticks are useful for when you don't want to waste coal / wood cooking something that can't be stacked (like food)

For digging 2 blocks downward. try standing in the middle of the 2 blocks and take out 1, you should still be standing on block 2. take block 2 out and your right back to where you started.
