no she had bronchitis I think it wasnt her scream when u scream the wrong way you can injury urself but she didnt.

Lacey shredded her vocal chords from screaming so much, she was screaming the wrong way, and it ruined her vocal chords, she had to have surgery

Thats why her screaming or live singing isn't the same

@SnickeyyyAsk She never had surgery, but her voice was hurt for over a year from singing and screaming almost every night throughout years of touring.

@HerSmallVoice Yea she did. Lacey had grown a tumor in her throat that changed the way she sang and screamed.

@SnickeyyyAsk You can check their official websites and interviews with Lacey personally explaining her condition. She did not develope a tumor in her throat during touring or otherwise.. She lost her voice and had to rest and let everything heal. An operation wasn't needed, thankfully. Her voice is as beautiful as ever now :)

@SnickeyyyAsk I have watched the interview. First of all, if my memory serves me correctly, she was speaking of a time before Flyleaf or very early on in the band's history- not during the time that she lost her voice around 07. Secondly, she does not say she had surgery on her throat, she says that the doctor told her they had found a tumor, but soon afterwards it had disappeared, miraculously. None of that ties into her vocals being damaged, or changes in her screams. Please look into this. :)
