@Gem5771-yep,THIS is how this tune should be sung. This is good. Dionne's from 65 is even better, believe me. A trio of acid-heads attempted this tune in 67, failing! It's a SOULful tune, not a FREAKout! I love acid music from the period, but know that this tune was best left to the soulMASTERS to sing.
It's too bad that these great closing songs are so short. I would love to hear them in their entirety. That's the way of television I suppose.
If there are no more episodes of "Dusty" to be found, perhaps the BBC could take the duets and sketches from the existing tapes and create a new DVD. As I've said before, how can you have too much Dusty?

The Cake's version is superior to this, if only for the arrangement. We know Dusty could sing circles around them, but her arrangement is tired and cliche by this point.
I'm glad the Cake didn't do the gospel thing on theirs.

@yahood66 Oh, get off it, that trio gave it a different approach to it and it's no lesser for it.

She just could sing darn near anything and make it her own version. Adore this woman's music.

Roy Hamilton's version was superb, and Dusty gives it just treatment.
