Every time I tell people I like Avril they just freak the fuck out. Just because I like some "deep," meaningful stuff, indie, rock, or whatever, doesn't mean I can't like pop too.
Plus, she was my first music obsession, and I'll never let that go :)

Just because I don't limit myself to 100% "authentic" music music doesn't mean I can't love it as much as someone who does.
