i already beat the game. its much much easier when all three are lvl. 40. reason is, is b/c bowser gets intruder fangs, which allow you to go twice.

@TheWhiteninja20 Possibly. It depends on other factors, mainly how good you are timing the commands, and if you have decent equipment. Having the Broggy Bonker would also make it a lot easier. Also, you have to be able to use the vacuum ability well. If you can't, you've already lost.

campared to the final boss battle in the original (Mario and Luigi superstar saga) this boss battle is really easy. In the last boss battle in the other game it started you off at 1HP!

And I thought I beat Dark Bowser at a high level! (Level 20 Bowser, and Level 21 Mario and Luigi I think) He was very easy for me. EXTRA ADVICE: Dark Bowser always has 1000 HP. Try to use it to your advantage and knock him out with a counter. That way you can avoid further damage if you suck at dodging his minion barrage. (like me...)

@chrisvanwijngaarde Instead of using cheats, use shy guy squad to do at least 209 damage to dark bowser. You can get the Special dog attack by collecting all blitties and bring them to the block guy. Keep on using shy guy squad until darkl bowser is knocked out. When fawful turns dark bowser into life, use the vaccum block to suck in fawful and try to destroy the glasses and legs and i recommend using falling star to destroy fawful by the dark star core. True fact: all enimies have 1000 health.

The Shroobs aren't gone. There are two shroobs as optional bosses in Bowser's Castle, and you can see Elder Princess Shroob frozen in the background. This most likely foreshadows another sequel that brings back the Shroobs once more as the antagonists.

Hm, was the massive amounts of damage done with falling star the reason why the battle didn't loop? (that is, every time I played, the dark star would fly off after a few turns and I had to complete the dark bowser phase over again before fighting the dark star a second time. I believe I even once got to a THIRD dark bowser phase before finally dying).
