I have always loved hockey more than anything... I broke my knee very badly. Not even in a game but when I was training. Doctors told me that I couldn't do any sports anymore.. I didn't listen and continued playing hockey. And it has given me so much. When I saw this video a tear fell down my cheek cos this is exactly what I think of hockey. It's not just a game but a journey. I'm not canadian but I think like one! :D
simply cuz he comes back from a broken jaw 3 days after it happens, jst straps on a extra cage n is ready to go... havent seen that happen before... he played through 2 MCL injuries in the same year (when the team was loosing including the playoffs, to be a apart of his teams pain of getting swept in the first round when his team started 15-2) hmmm wat else... oh and did i mention he was drafted 133rd overall... show his desire... n im lazy as fuck, but theirs much moer... i think dats enuff
hockey night in canada.. knows how to cover our game.. i hate how nbc make it like football or basketball theme... they are ruining this game and how it is looked at.. Hockey should just stay in Canada fuck America
"every year the ice freezes, every year a new oppurtunity" I like the irony of putting Carey Price in that frame. He's had a good season and a bad season, next year will come a new oppurtunity where he can redeem himself or show everyone his first year was only beginers luck.
Its sad that Linden never once won the cup, brings tears to my eyes that such a great player, such a great leader, such a great community role model does not get the glory of winning the cup and getting his mark made for it to last an eternity :(
Some of the moments have to be disheartining. The Linden attempt for his Hat Trick in game 7, the Boston Player with his face on the Ice as the Flyers win, and Luongo collapseing in his net when Anahiem won the series.
How come all the clips about losing seem to be of the Canucks?

For Canadians another long winter lies ahead,
A journey begins on a clean slate of ice.
It's a story as old as a nation itself;
It's a tale not written, not acted it is lived.
For some teams the story has been told a hundred times.... For others so painfully close but the summit never reached....
Every year the ice freezes, every year a new opportunity.
Tonight that tradition continues, a season has begun.

For veterans it is a chance for glory, glory they have yet to achieve.
For the young stars a chance to make their mark.
And for everyone a chance to play a game.
A game that brings so much joy, yet so much sorrow.
Hockey is a simple game, you pass the puck, you shoot the puck, you save the puck.
Sometimes you win, sometimes you lose,
but always the magic of the game survives.
