  • Wow...I remember playing the recorder in second grade...but keep up the hard work someday you may become the best recorder player in the world...which will mean a lot.

  • Hi!

  • nice solid playing, but i think u could have played it quicker n more staccato

  • I'd like to learn the Alto Sax but can't afford the cost of one(£274 for cheapest) so I am thinking of getting a Recorder (£4.50) do you think this is a good way to begin until I can afford a Sax?

    Thanks

    Peter

    Scotland.

  • Yes I think it is a good idea because you can learn things like rhythm and such with the Recorder which you can carry over to the sax later on.

  • Thank you for the reply. I hope you enjoy your playing.

  • No matter what instrument you find yourself playing it's still well worth learning the alto recorder. It's not a difficult instrument to learn well enough to enjoy and will not interfere with your primary instrument. Folk tunes, especially Christmas carols sound wonderful on it. If you decide to pursue it in depth there are also many great duets for it by masters like Handel and Telemann with basso if you have a cellist, harpsichord, etc. and also for two recorders. I suggest the Yamaha 300.

  • Nice sounding recorder can you tell me what make and wood is used. Regards

  • Hi John: The Recorder is a Moeck Rosewood Alto Recorder.

  • hey dude, get a tenor. They sound so much better.

  • Keep working! You'll do great some day.
