  • Yes indeed that is a Dash-8 32B with the good old GE-FDL V16 as the heart of it. Same basic style engine as the Alco series, but with a lot more bite! :) Glad to see NS still has a few chugging away still! The Shortline Railroad i work for just has GP39-2 engines, no beastly GE sounds at all, and it is sad to. I would love us to acquire a GE U28 or even a U30B for shits and giggles and that loud deep hearty bass to!!

  • Great video!

  • I must say that I have seen 4 of your videos and you always have great closing music!!!

  • I think thats a 8-40B but I might be wrong. Nice videos man keep em comin.

  • lol yea you're just a little wrong lol Con"fail" had the 8-40Bs and both CSX and NS aquired some from the merger, but NS sold all of their share of the 8-40Bs to CSX a couple of years ago...

  • @rsideballa75 Con-fail? Yeah, and there's so much to be proud of at NS...

  • Always enjoy hearing that classic GE 4 cycle diesel chug.
