Colour revolt is my favorite band. I saw them in Indianapolis a week or so ago, and they put on one of the best shows I have ever seen. The intensity and the emotion they provoke is incredible. I was absolutely blown away. I got to talk to all of the guys afterwards and hang out for a bit, and they were just some of the most down to earth, funny and appreciative guys I've ever met. See them live if you ever get the chance, you won't regret it.
Out of at least 40 shows these guys put on the best performance I saw last year. I don't know what the hell is wrong with all the haters that commented before me. nobody writes music like this anymore. they write their own music and no one cares about if you don't like it. these guys deserve a lot more attention.
If you like this, check out THE REVERE. They're an awesome band with a concept album that came out early last year. It can be downloaded in its entirety for free online! Just search for "The Revere"
I saw manchester orchestra early of last year, and andy hull has this voice live that has the ability to give you goosebumps, make your skin crawl. i can see from this video colour revolt are alike, especially with the screaming...amazing
awesome band. and yeah makasfleep is right. you need to check out manchester orchestra. theyre up there on my favorite bands and just came out with a new album. so yeah. haha =D
If you like Colour Revolt, then I hope u've checked out Manchester Orchestra. They're home boys, and they got a new vid free vid for "I've Got Friends" on iTunes. check it

wow what an awesome melody bravo !!! but the vocal pitches don't always match the song ugh you're just shouting in the song there is a difference between a singing shout and just f*cking shouting although I think your song is very very worth getting right keep at it and try getting female backup to help you with the shouting part to soften it up a bit good god you're just shouting .
Just saw the whole band hanging out at the grocery. I asked if they all used the same optometrist ( 4 of them got some crazy ass dork glasses) and where one of them got there sweet ass Willie Nelson jacket (not being sarcastic, its actually awesome). I thought they were just some weird dudes but the bartender told me who they are, thus my being on youtube. They acted a lil pompous, but hell I probably would too if I had talent. Bassist seems the coolest though.
I don't really expect you to believe me, but my brother used to be in this band. They are from Jackson, MS. They used to practice in my living room. I know most of them on a first name basis. Patrick used my dad's equipment when their stuff got stolen in Texas. Now they are playing in Bonnaroo
lol absolutely believe you. hard to believe these guys came from mississippi, especially when they used to be math rock. but yeah, i used to live in mississippi too and went to a few of FLETCHER'S shows.
i'll have to ask around. one of my old friends may still have a recording of theirs. but yeah they were big in the southern hardcore/mathcore scene (predominantly hardcore "christian" rock. gay).
the one thing i do know is their original moniker was fletcher, and they changed their entire direction (and name) after visiting europe.
sorry, dudez, it was foxxe. if you haven't experienced the thrill of get down padre at the jackson academy halloween carnival you haven't lived. and that wasn't a christian song. it was roman catholic based on a spanish mission. read some willa cather.
Peeples is right. I still have a foxxe sticker on a guitar case, and a copy of the first fletcher ep. I totally remember that show. That's hilarious. Oh, to long for the U-Pub, CLB, Musiquarium, and the like. Things were way easier and more awesome then.
Great job! I like the angles, editing, and even the grainy texture. Did you get a chance to talk with the guys? My experiences with them, though minimal, has been refreshing and inspiring.
Keep up the good work, and let me know about the new videos you put out.

play bonaroo, get signed to fat possum, do a daytrotter session, and then you can come back and tell colour revolt how to write their music

seriously, everyone has their own style, who are you to tell them how to play?
and please start using punctuation lol.

Shouting is not style , neither is lack of punctuation (since you think punctuation has something to do with it , idiot... lol).

you realize the "martha's vineyard of mississippi" doesn't exactly mean it's much like martha's vineyard right?
