Sorry Ryan Sheckler, Shaun White has my heart. He already is an awesome snowboarder/skateboarder, and he does not need more fame than the one he already has, but this, this is something just a good and hearted person would do. How many times have you seen Ryan Sheckler or Scotty Lago teaching kids how to skateboard/snowboard in less fortunate countries?

it stinks that all these great athletes (shaun, michael phelps, shawn johnson, nastia liukin, evan lysachek etc.) are all pretty much ignored other than when the olympics are going on...but shaun white is such an amazing athlete and person! i'd love to meet him someday!

Hey, ksha, saw your response to my last comment, and to answer your question, I live in the DC area. Also, I do see what you're saying about lots of people of color skating, I see that all the time, but even though I know he skates, I primarily associate Shaun with snowboarding, and I meant to say that I'd like to see more people of color pursuing snowboarding.

I love that Shaun has gone and taught people of color to take interest in a sport that is normally not considered traditional for them. Maybe one of these kids will continue on and take Shaun's place in the Olympics, that would be awesome!

I am the inventor of Freshpark ramps and I would've never thought the idea I had ten years ago would have went to so many places around the world, and would help so many kids.

I felt proud to see Shaun White teaching those kids on something I made. I hope Shaun liked riding them as much as I liked watching it .

Thank you to those who filmed it and all that made that day happen, and great job Shaun, days like that means more in life then any Gold medal, but at least you have many of both.
