  • Rhys Palmer - WHAT AN IDIOT! Bad luck to GWS LOL

  • keep pressing 00:10

  • GREAT CORAGE BARLOW

  • WTF is with the top 2 comments???he broke his leg in a footy game n didnt feel it from adrenaline for the first few secs so he stood up lol hes not chuck norris

  • james strauss' looked worse at start, barlows looked worst in middle and browns looked worse in end

  • Drink more milk!

  • Should've happened in the first quarter from a port perspective, but he's a champion for trying to get back up

  • Good news he completed his first VFL game since the injury

  • brownys was worse

  • @dudemate78 both injuries were as bad as each other... but nathan brown's was definitely worse to look at afterwards though

  • @cigerweed oh yeah browns was fuckd up to look at

  • ohh that is hard enough just watching, no longer he is still out injured

  • The pause of all Fremantle supporters.

  • Farrrrrk see that courage soccer players would have been screaming if they got there leg snapped

Cant believe that he actually stood up I'm a saints fan but I hope this guy makes a quick recovery good luck Barlow

  • doesn't look right at about 0:05 when he lifted up his leg a bit

  • @MarcoMan1999

yeah, your right. i never noticed that

looks like his leg is jelly

  • Comment removed

  • did he died?

  • its always great, professional players who get the most horrific injuries in like every sport. haha

  • Such a shame to a good story like barlow get cut down like that. I was at the game, the crowd was absolutly guttered. I hope he can get back to as good as he was, most never seem to with that kind of injury.

Poor old Palmer as well, was having a shit 2010 season and then add this to it.

I was sorta hoping the dockers might get close to winning a flag in a few year, hopefully they can pull through. As an Eagles supporter, I'm just as happy seeing any Western Australian team beat the VIC teams

  • Goodluck to him this season, we all saw Nathan Brown when he came back, was never the same.

  • 0:04 6-7 month recovery 0:10 10-12 moth recovery. Should have never stood on it

  • Walk it off you weak cunt.

  • @chasersbf fucking wanker

  • @MrFridayNightDelight

sarcasm is hard to detect on the internet. Twas a joke, I like Barlow.

  • @chasersbf be nice.

  • Pretty courageous mark though. Would've won the Charlie if he didn't get injured. It's kind of both his and Rhys Palmer's fault.

  • Michael Barlow is such a hero!!! He is the best AFL Player round. Cant wait till round 1 2011, when a champ returns 2 the game!!! Go FREO & MIKKY BARLOW :)

  • Michael Barlow is a hero and has great courage. If u showed that 2 a soccer player they would have to get rushed 2 hospital just watching that cause they are suck girls when they get kicked.they would have 2 go to drama classes. Go FREO!!!!! MICHAEL BARLOW ROX!!!!!!!

  • What makes it even more awesome is that Barlow actually held the mark too.

  • LOL at people who judge sport by how tough the players are

  • i had that kind of injury b4 wen i was playing for the WAAFL

  • I was there!!!!! sucks though I know that Freo would have gone way further with him to bad cant wait till he comes back though

  • This leg break of Barlow's is WORSE than that of Brown's in 2005.

  • R.I.P Dream Team God

  • Everyime I think of what happened I just about want to cry. I hope he'll be set to return at the start of next season

  • Comment removed

  • I was there. Never had I seen the stadium so silent after a win... I miss this guy

  • ouch that would of hurt.

michael barlow should be up and playing football by the start of next year.

    good luck barlow

  • In ice hockey Bobby Baun broke his leg then came back out thinking it was

a pinched leg and scored the game winning goal to win the cup haha.

    You should youtube him :)

But wishing a speedy recovery for Barlow, I just finished watching

the Nathon Brown leg break. Hopefully it doesn't impact Barlow's career

as it did Brown's, should be back before seasons end next year :)

  • that aussie fuckin manned it tryin to stand up.

  • i was there, pretty close

    looked really painfull.

  • Fremantle are 12 games, lost about 4 of thier last 5, 1st place is 14, if Barlow was back we would be on the top of the ladder. I have been a Fremantle fan ever since I was 4, never gave up on them. I have seen them lose tons of games, but I saw them win lots aswell. This season was meant to be Fremantle's season.. Look at what has happened, Fremantle lost to North Melbourne, 5th place. They were 2nd. Goodbye 2010, Good Luck 2011- Fremantle premiers 2011.

  • @VarietyRunescapeVids

Don't think this season was meant to be your season. You have just improved a hell of alot..and Barlow is a great player who i have watched at werribee since he was 17..and he will be back next season

  • @VarietyRunescapeVids

    Sorry 19 not 17

  • ouch

  • I was at that game, and it didnt look nice, and man, i cant wait for him to be back.

  • Fremantle will not win the Grand Final =(

You can see by the way Fremantle are playing!

They were 2 games ahead of Western Bulldogs in 5th place, now they are 5th place!

They have won 11 games so they will make the finals, but they won't go far...

It may just be the line-up or maybe it is Michael Barlow absent from the team.

    Get better soon Michael Barlow.

  • michael barlow breaks his leg and tries to stand on it. soccer players feel wind and they go to ground screaming and clutching their knees as if they're dead.

  • @aus5892 They tend to clutch their faces which is even worse, thing is tho i reckon they cop more of these types of injuries than footy.

  • @Havencheese Nah, they wear shin pads. Soft

  • @yeahaha12 how do you know we are going to be alive after 2012?

  • u look in the history of any sport, no one has ever made as little fuss as barlow after breaking a leg, let alone getting up to try and continue playing. i'm pretty sure he is actually the terminator. If they sold cans of cement, it'd have a pic of Barlow on it with the slogan "have a skull and harden the fk up". if i was off to war, this is the guy i'd want fighting next to me, what a ballsy player.

  • @knottyboy20 well said

  • @knottyboy20 amen to that

  • @knottyboy20 fuck oath. that was huge. i've broken one bone in my leg and i was not moving when it happened. i don't understand how he could even get up

  • @knottyboy20 i snapped my ankle and walked on it. hurt like FUCK and it was cracking and clicking. i walked all the way across my school gym until someone made me stop haha

  • fuck that, it'd be worse than an acl or someting I reckon.

  • Dang!!

  • True he was in my dreamteam, he Finnished

Wid 454 thousand, he is a legend. Fell bad for hm

  • Barlow you are one tough legend mate. Might be just your first season but hats off people will remeber this for a long time. This is why the world cup is pathetic!

  • Soccer players get a bad bump, maybe a bit of a big bruise or a gash and they need the whole medico tema out there in 3 seconds flat. Barlow completely breaks his leg and stands up IMMEDIATELY, and then when he falls back down, he doesnt carry on like a drama queen. Soccer players have to toughen up. In Netherland vs Uruguay, a guy is down for 5 minutes, rolling around in "agony" after copping a boot (laces side) to his face. He should watch Barlow before carrying on like that again.

  • @Gr33nDayPwn yeh and in soccer you always see them like crying and squirming for fake injuries looking for a free kick, and when they dont get it they pop straight up like nothing happened, it fucken pisses me off

  • There goes my Barlow's chances of winning the Brownlow...and there goes my Dreamteam too...

  • @isamarine who gives a fuck about the dream team! the guys got a broken leg

  • Hope it turns out well for him, best story of the year (apart from pods) turns into the worst. Show this to the italian soccer team, bunch of pansies. Anyway hows those tigers

  • pause it at 26.

  • now theres a mans sport, breaks his leg and still tries to stand up! soccer plays are pussies

oh yeah and OUCH, that just hurts watching!! and of course its against port -_- ima crows girl, all the way

  • that is a terrible collision. poor fella

  • Good on ya Palmer ya fucken idiot!!! Even when ya hit ya looked like an idiot who knew you shouldn't have been there in that situation!!! Dickhead!!

  • when you watch the replay, palmer slid in like 5 metres before contact, it would have been better to not go to ground, he probably wouldve concussed palmer because of shock and impact (shock because barlow didnt see palmer) but wouldve been better then going to ground

  • What is hardcore? Hardcore is breaking your leg in a football match, checking it to confirm both tibia and fibula are shattered and getting up to try and take your free kick. People should stop getting barb wire bicep tattoos and just get Barlow tatts instead.

  • @knottyboy20 lol so true, i acutally want a barb wire bicep tatoo tho haha, not to be tough, but my uncle had one and he died at a young age, so to remember him

  • @knottyboy20 And He Took the Mark! Got my tatoo session booked in for next week.

  • 30 thousand views in 3 days

  • there goes my dreamteam

  • @yeahaha12 superfooty is run by herald sun, and i wouldn't believe what comes from that rag.

  • 1. it was an accident its not like a team mate would deliberately hurt his own player, eyes on the ball thats what happens. 2. freo can still make finals easy. 3. its not career ending, but he will be out for ages and 4. he wouldnt of won the brownlow this year but we will never know.

  • @jamabar yeh freo can make the finals, but with barlow out, its gonna leave a HUGE gap in their team.

  • why would u put a vid of a guy breaking his leg poofs

  • that was a DIVE REF! :D

  • ouch! sad to see, he is an important freo player

  • @yeahaha12 That is just a rumour. The Freo club are pissed off at news ltd for running that story because they know he will be back next year.

  • He will be back next year no worries, I broke my tib and fib playing soccer and resumed training after 4 months and played after 7 months. Like me he has had no pins inserted , Good luck on his recovery

  • @slitmjst yeh but how old were you when you broke it? because your bones could still have been growing if you were young and healed quicker and better

  • they need to learn to communicate on the feild, to avoid terrible injuries like this

  • tough break.

  • there calling it similar to nathan browns break barlow will eventually be back but just never to the quality that he has been playing

  • @waydlemx yeh i know, i mean its possible he could be good, because its his left leg, he kicks with his right, does that make it a difference or would it still be the same if it was his right leg?

  • @Recovery82 running would put more strees on it than kicking wouldnt it im no doctor or anything so im just guessing

  • @waydlemx i dont think its that bad, although barlows looked bad, they say sometimes its looks worse than what it acutally is, but he broke the fiblia and tiblia bons in his leg, which are the ones on the outside of the leg that run straight up the leg parralel to eachother

  • soccer players are soft and whoever said man up be tough is an absolute joke brake your leg and see how it feels idiot, soccer players need to learn a thing or two about toughness seriously watching the world cup latley is a joke, big lost for fremantle but barlow willl be back next year mid pre season

  • @Russojosh23 no way, there saying he might not make round 1, i think hes determined though and ill be happy as a freo supporter if he comes back mid way through 2011, better to come back later and healthier

  • I think Matthew Pavlich's original intent was to chip the ball to Michael Barlow, and Rhys Palmer just had to chip in to try and take the mark.

There was six minutes to go in the game and the Dockers had a match-winning lead of 58 points. Why would you take such a risk Rhys Palmer?

As a result of this, Palmer scored the most dream team points for the match ahead of Barlow by 1 point. I bet Palmer would be the most hated player in the Dream Team community. He's just ruined Barlow's career.

  • @Jezza46 piss off, he clearly only had eyes for the ball

  • @oiyoustfuplz He probably did have eyes for the ball, but surely if Michael Barlow was heading in the same direction, also watching the ball, surely Rhys Palmer would have some sort of awareness of his own teammate pursuing the ball, or that Barlow would have the same awareness of HIS teammate.

Anyway, communication failed between the two, with dire consequences.

  • @Jezza46 what i dont get is, theres 6 minutes left, were winning by 50 points, clearly the kick was intended for barlow because hes running back, hes head is up in the air and arms spread out catching the ball, my question is, why was rhys palmer in such a rush to get to the ball before barlow does, the win was cemented, its devastating because what should have been a situation to be avoided is now probably a career ending injury for a poor kid with such a bright well deserved future ahead him

  • @Recovery82 Yeah I know, that's exactly what I'm getting at here. This continues a string of severe career-threatening or career-ending injuries suffered by the greats and the rising stars of the VFL/AFL which has stretched back at least 56 years, including the knee injury which ended John Coleman's career in 1954, the Peter Hudson knee injury, the John Greening incident, the Neil Sachse incident, right through to the Dunstall knee recos, the Lockett groin, the Brown leg, and now the Barlow leg.

  • @Jezza46 yeh, voss also broke his leg, and then led the lions to a premiership next year, so its possible he'll come back awesome, but theres more of a chance he could end up coming back like brown.. pretty shit,

  • @Recovery82 Yeah well actually he badly broke the bottom quarter of his right leg in 1998 and led the Lions to premierships in 2001-03 of course, but yeah he did come back in 1999.

And Paul Salmon came back from his knee injury suffered in 1984 after he kicked 63 goals in 13 games, and consolidated his position as one of Essendon's greatest players. He wasn't far away from the Brownlow in 1996 when he was at Hawthorn.

But yeah the odds are against Barlow performing at his best ever again.

  • @Recovery82 vossy broke his leg in 97 the year after he won the brownlow. took him 2 years to get back playing, four years to get back to his best. he had a 30cm steel rod in his leg for 6 years. fortunatly for Barlow, hes younger than when vossy did his, and medinice is far more advanced, so hopefully hell be back sometime next year

  • @StreetRat008 yeh bust also, drugs can heal an injury quicker but has more of a chance to re injure, but when u break a bone in ur body, when it heals it heals stronger than the original bone, so i guess its a positive thing, it will take him a couple of years to get back to his form

  • @StreetRat008 Actually Vossy did break his leg in 1998. This from Wikipedia:

In 1998 he suffered his first major career setback. Contesting a mark at Subiaco Oval in Perth in a match against Fremantle, he collided with Shane Parker and shattered his leg. The subsequent operation was at Sir Charles Gairdner Hospital, and it was a year before he was fit & back in training to play again. Brisbane finished 16th & with a wooden spoon that year with a 5-1-16 record.

  • @Recovery82 but brown only ended up like that cos he rushed his return into the AFL, and when he came back i think he re-injured the same leg he broke, hopefully barlow will talk to some ppl who have broken their legs and get some advice, e.g voss, brown even gary lyon:)

  • @Jezza46 1 he has not ruined barlow's career barlow will be back just as good if not better due to the mental toughness he will get out of this.

2 who gives a flying fuck about dreamteam points? we are talking about some1s broken leg.

3 palmer clearly had eyes for the ball, obviously u have never played footy because if u had u would know that it is pounded into a players game that they must have eyes for the footy and nothing else, unfortunately palmer realised to late that it was a team mate

  • @AlfyLanger20 sure it is drilled into the players about eyes on the ball but so is communication and obviously there was none seems that they run into each other

  • @karratha16falcons34 how can barlow communicate to palmer

    a. he didnt see him

    b. he had his head in the air with his eyes on the ball

    c. who the fuck knows what the fuck palmer was doing,

  • @AlfyLanger20 yeh i know, people are all talking about dream team points, who the fuck gives a shit, a players hard earned career is potentially ruined, and they give a fuck about dream team

  • omfg and its his team mate that broke it OMG thats fails

  • Every soccer player in the world should watch this and learn a thing or two about being tough. Did he roll around on the ground crying and trying to get a penalty? No he stood on a broken leg. Soccer is full of pussies!

  • hahahahaha thats good for Tigers Next week

  • Awww F$#! he's in my supercoach team. D:

  • @VidsOfProof haha

  • fair effort if that was soccer im pretty sure the guy would preten to be dead...

  • thats sad man idc where he is at the brownlow idc its what this player does is fucking brave did not take hes eye of the ball for 1 sec not 1 sec thats fucking afl man thats how it should be played its very sad for michael he is a great player and its just sad to watch this its not nobodys fault ryes had hes eye on the ball 2 michael was just the unlucky bugger to get hert its really sad but he will be back next yeah

  • -trips over-

    "shit"

    -hops back up-

    "whats this pain?"

    -slip-

"oh, i broke my leg ..."

Pretty awesome! I couldn't stand when I broke my arm! lol!

  • script

  • DAM. That guy is a gun. Shame to see that happen.

  • lmao he gets up and try's 2 walk it of like its nothing, now thats 1 tough bastard

  • Bwahahaha, ouch.

  • seedy

  • Ouch did u c when he stood up how it bowed

  • Does anyone remember when Nathan brown broke his leg

  • Does anyone remember Nathan brown breaking his leg??

  • Aaron Ramseys leg break is worse.

  • Comment removed

  • Dunno whether to thumbs up or down.

  • OUCH!

  • Quite Sickening Break, something about bad breaks really freak me out. Hopefully we see him back next year as he was a real talent. Bad day for afl and dream team alike as i have no trades left and my emergency isn't worth a mention so bring on 2011.

  • At least we don't have 2 put up with people saying how good he is anymore.

He's so annoying, but nowhere near as annoying as Nick Revolting! lol

  • i dont understand whats so bad about this footage, anyways great player its a shame.

  • Comment removed

  • Didn't think he'd break his leg from that. Pavlich must have a hard head!

  • i remember watching mick playing for werribee in the VFL, and thought why wasn't he playing AFL, he finally got his break after working so hard, and its so unfortunate that he broke his leg :(......i would turn gay for michael barlow.

  • i cant believe he actually gets up and goes to walk away, thats sheer courage, had this been a soccer player A he wouldnt have even attempted to get up and B he would have rolled around screaming, he doesnt show any emotion or anything in the first 15 seconds of it happening maybe its the adrennalyn or something but yeh very tough player..

  • there goes my dreamteam,

    Barlows a tank <3

  • fuck me, this kinda shit scares me soo much

  • under his knee straight after he does it= ouuuccccchhh :( our AFL boys are so tough compared to weak, complaining soccer players!

  • You cant get sent off in footy. They are completely different games you cannot compare them.

  • @lobsta3176 you actually can get sent off... for a few reasons... get ur facts right mate

  • @AlfyLanger20 You cannot get sent off in the AFL. You can get reported for rough conduct but not sent off. Get your facts right.

  • @losecontrol08 he barely broke it, man up

  • @losecontrol08 i know, he snapped his leg, he tried to stand up, soccer players get a bruise and come off screaming haha AFL is the toughest sport in the world i reckon,

  • @Azzy1020 agreed, i dont care who it is NFL or any other AFL player, when was the last time you saw someone STAND UP and put pressure on a broken leg, thats amazing, hes inspirational, what a tough guy,

  • @losecontrol08 yeh i no, you never see a round where a player gets a severe season ending injury or someone gets knocked out cold, it happens in almost every game of every round

  • @losecontrol08 way tuffer than the dirty mussolini lover italian socker jew ball garlic meatball fuckers~

  • @losecontrol08 way tuffer than the mussolini loving meatball garlic fuckers

  • Fuuuuck... Barlow would be the last player to deserve an injury like that. fitforpints on the other hand...

I hope you make a quick recovery Barlow, you will be dearly missed in my dream team =(

  • @pissdrunk87 you're a wanker!

    get well soon Michael xxx

  • yeah he is an absolute gun, will be sorely missed. and cant wait to see him back next year, very exciting player to watch.

Check out my other music videos aswell people might be something you like remix's of some popular songs.

  • @yeahaha12 he might be out for 2011 as well :(, and he might not play again

  • So couragious, he is a footballer, a ball winner and a gun, all he did was what he does every single minute of every single game and that is go for the ball

No it wasn't palmer's fault it's just an unfortunate accident

he'll be back next year and he is a champion, can't believe he was overlooked in the 2005 draft

Fremantle's premiership chances without him though?? dead

  • bye, bye brownlow!

  • ouch, could have been brownlow

  • Barlows leg completely bends pretty much in half

  • That must have hurt sooooo much owwwwww

  • aww i can barely look, it's so horrible. feel so sorry for him :( and then he even tried to stand up! hope he gets better soon :(

  • the courage to try and stand up.

  • oh fuck me! thats horrible! poor bugger!!! and he tried to get up man cant imagin that feeling!!

  • I am a rival WCE man but I have some much respect for this bloke. People are thinking of you mate and all wish you an awesome recovery and look forward in watching you play some more awesome footy in 2011.

Pissdrunk I hope you get hit by a bus and some one puts in on youtube just for shits and giggles. Life will be a bitch for you tosser

  • the break is just below the knee. 8 seconds in you can see the bone against the skin.

  • i dont even support fremantle or play football but i feel so sad for him.

  • and also if you pause at 0:08 you can actually see where it has broken on his leg, the marks in the skin. nasty

  • if you pause about 0:26 it looks like it snaps just below his knee, awkward spot

  • get well soon buddy, you're an inspiration to heaps of would-be afl players, and deserve success. think everyone in football wishes to see you back in the seniors.

  • Looks to be very low down on the Fibula and tibula area, around the ankle, this can cause a variety of problem in everyday life activieties. It'll be a lot of work for the club and him to get back his running power and flexibility throughout his lower leg/ankle region. As an AFL fan I hope to see him back.

  • @brentonification umm buddy a few things here.. 1. There is no such bone as a tibula, its fibula and TIBIA! 2. The break seen in this footage is at the proximal ends of the fib and tib not down near the ankle. Better luck next time you clown!

  • I'm not a dockers supporter at all but Barlow has earnt so much respect in his first 13-odd games or whatever so I was really sad to see this happen to him. Hope he has a good recovery and comes back just as good!

  • Feel bad for the bloke, lets just hope its not as bad as Nathan Browns break because we all know that he was never the same after that.

  • thats career ending
