Hey guys, I'm in Massachusetts, and looking for a new set. These sound amazing. I would love to demo one of these babies -- where can I find one in New England?
id like to buy an omega "rock" size package, the only thing is, id wanna up the snare size to a 7x14 and the bass to a 20x22. tom sizes are right where i want them. i might be wrong but couldn't this be done simply by getting a new shell and using longer tension rods?
@ChrisCardenDrums Hi Chris, I'm not actually sure what the deal is with upgrading the Omegas, email sleishman or if you are in the US, call the numbers on the comment below - Call Marcus Vee in Los Angeles now on 323 652-2544 - all the best! Jack
Impressive demonstration with the tom. Beautiful resonance. I use a Pearl floating shell system on my snare so I understand the principal but your tom sound is remarkable. When are Sleishman being distributed in the UK? Is it likely?

@DaveWhite51 Agreed, I too would like to know if/when they are going to be more available in the UK, all I can find so far is a few stores that will import from Europe but this just adds to much to the cost.
@drumdoc you don't. the suspension system distributes tension evenly across the drum (via the patented ring). You get a note that stays even throughout it's length/decay. really pure tone and the drum is simple to tune... so we don't need to bother with playing around with different tensions between heads.
I can't find prices for this! Nor can I find a seller that shows anything at all about Sleishman kits. I'm looking for an ocean blue omega set. Can someone help me? Are they only available in Australia?
@1SlashRocks1 The Sleishman Omegas are being distributed in the USA now. You can get them for somewhere around 2,500 USD. Mostly you can only find them in person in the major music cities.
Also, there is an online shop. I can't put links in here for some reason, so go search for "shopatron sleishman"
Priced like a DW but WAY better sounding and WAY more flexible. I own a rare-ish Ironwood stave snare. It's replaced all my other snares. ;)
@TheMASDrummer Hi mate, yes absolutely. I use the tobacco fade every weekend on gigs, under all sorts of lighting, and it comes up a treat every time.
I think you'd be suprised! This is the new Omega series, very cheap in comparison to the Australian Custom line Sleishman kits. Still the same great free floating design, plus full hardware.
what was the head combination? im worried about single and double ply on the same drum

Can anybody tell me the sizes of the toms on that drum kit? The low floor tom sounds awe-inspiring!
patritsch 1 year ago 2
@patritsch the floor tom is 16x14 (in Australian sizing - which means 16 diameter x 14 deep). Incredible isn't it?

what if you like to tune your reso head higher then the batter head how would you do that with this system?
