Some expert told me that the nebelwerfer rounds, when falling to the ground, they not only could kill the enemy because of the explosion, but its explosion waves left the human body out of red globules. Therefore many soviets died because these projectiles fell near them (from 50 to 150 meters). Their bodies were later found intact by the germans. They did not conceive this sort of secondary effect when creating the artifact before Barbarossa. Can someone please clarify this?
I read in Otto Skorzeny's own book that they used liquid air in their Nebelwerfers. I am not so good in physics, so I don't know what that means. And Skorzeny doesn't explain it in detail. But he writes that the Russians were so afraid of this weapon, they BEGGED the Germans not to use it anymore. Or they would use poison gas as a revenge against the Germans. So the Nebelwerfer saw not so much action, because the Germans were afraid of the Russian gas. Just google Skorzeny, I don't know more.
I also read his book. And from what I understood of it, what happened was that the russians feared it and begged the germans not to use it, and in exchange, they would not use their katyushas (or as Skorzeny named them "Stalin organs"). But you are right in saying that it all become a negotiation.

It's an mistake, that the katyusha (Stalinorgel) was more deadly - the german Nebelwerfer fired "single used" but with a much more pressure efficiency.
Nebelwerfer were more accurately then ordinary artilery,so when you need to destroy some certain point,he use nebelwerfer, but when drumfire is needed, you use normal howitzer...
And allot more effiecent aswell, the warheads had a much bigger payload then artillery shells, the 30cm rocket had a warhead of around 70kg. But this came with the downside of decreased range.
damn lol. sheer chaos the nebula-thrower is. just the sound of it would make u wanna shit ure pants if you knew it was being shot at you lol. its no wonder they called these bad boys screaming mimi's.
To bad they dont make anymore weapons like these. The sound alone brought fear amongst enemys. I love the old sounds of warmachines now they only make technical sounds instead of hardcore mechanical sounds.
Most Germans weren't Nazis and most didn't choose to fight for the military, they were forced to. Most militaries are not voluntary, and even those that are supposedly voluntary, a lot of people join for economic reasons. I don't think we should be too harsh on the soldiers of a war when they're forcibly drafted into war, but on the evil politicians above them.
It was a screaming MIMI not MINI

Sorry, but the katyusha was less accurate, poor aiming was alway a problem with theese, but the russians had lots of them :(

In some scenes it looks like fireworks in late summer...the music would fit to that :)

very nice, the nebelwerfer would have been better w/o as much smoke. It was a target for counter arttilary strikes. But it was an effective weapon.
