  • I see what you mean by it being out of tune I get that 2 :)

the same with all the other songs on the album

  • Yeah, unfortunately I only realised AFTER recording this video that Metallica were actually tuned to a slightly different pitch than 100% correct E Standard, so that's why playing along to this album sounds a little out of tune =)

  • @SiLeNTzWoot so thats why when i was trying to re-cover my cover of For Whom the Bell Tolls i thought i was out of tune. :/

  • hey man

    nice cover :D

I have the same multieffect pedal

what kind of presets are u using??

  • Hi mate, thanks very much =)

For the rhythm, I used the "Smooth" preset, but without reverb and with more gain, amongst changes to the EQ. For the lead, again it's "Smooth", but with reverb and delay this time!

  • hey man, that was beautiful, epic solo, could yo uplease check out my versoin ;)

  • Thanks for the kind words, I just checked out your cover (I'm slow I know!) and I gotta say, it was great, well done =) Thanks again!

  • its okay ;) and thank you for the comment, youv just brought me back to this solo and its brang some memories of me learning this solo :)

  • It could be strings cause this has happened to me before I feel like its out of tune but when I done up my guitar it was just the strings that where stuffing it up.

  • hey, good cover :D , hey i have the same digitech, which preset r u using?

btw, i think u r a little bit out of tune xD

  • Heya, on my RP350 the preset is one I made, The setting is basically a modification of Smooth, but so that it has no reverb, more gain, scooped EQ and a few other changes.

Yeah it turns out that I was in tune to the standard tuning (my A was 440Hz) but apparently the piano Metallica used to tune their guitars to on the early records was out of tune, lol, so their A was around 450Hz, making it sound out of tune when you play along. I'll redo this with me tuned to their A and see how it sounds :P

  • good playin .... hot guy :p

  • nice :)
