There are certain experiences that I've had that I wish I could experience again, and it makes me feel like it's over when it ends on..the end. So, I sometimes end an experience on the beginning to have the sense that it hasn't happened yet and get the feeling of happiness knowing that great experience will happen again...it's hard to explain, but I hope you understand, hehe.
hey great videos man. but i have one question. i just got this camera and wanted to know what editing software do you use. i just want to make sure i get the most out of it.
whoa... I really like the colors on this one. I really like your style. I am planing to get an HV30 myself, but first, probably, I need another computer that can handle editing. I wanted to ask, about how are the raw video files once you transfer them to your computer for edition? On average, I mean. oh, and do you use any other filter or something else on the HV30? or just like it is -out of the box-
You can shoot video like this out of the box with manual focus and zoom for depth of field. You need to do colors in your editor and most HV30 video I feel needs contrast added. I made a video a few weeks ago inspired by guys like meheh while I was sick. Afterwards I decided on building a diy steadycam :P
i have the hv30 and the raw files are three times sharper than the compressed youtube hd/vimeo hd versions (not the regular sd versions. They 200 times sharper than youtubes sd compressions). The colors and are alot better when they are raw and not compressed as well. You'll be satisfied with this camera. Right now I'm working on an 8 core machine but I use final cut and capture to a pro res codec for easier render times, but a good dual core machine can easily handle hdv natively.
i was sooo close to getting my hands on an hv30 the other week. the guy sold it the day before i got enough money for it. go figure. i guess all good things come in time...
Holy cow this so amazing and artsy! I love it! What file type/resolution/bit rate do you upload as? I filmed my last video with a canon HV20 and no matter what settings I uploaded it as it still looked like crap. I want my stuff to look this good!
this is heavily color corrected as well. Are you compressing to an hd file at 1280 by 720 in the h.264 codec. Plus the original video on average will usually be 3 times as sharp than the the compressed internet hd version.
It's definitely color corrected, and I don't use any lens adapters, just the naked HV30 to shoot. I use Sony Vegas to edit. Thank you for the comment! :)
I feel beter if things end at the beginning so I feel like they haven't started yet and can experience them again. It's kind of hard to explain. If I find words for it I'll let you know in better description. Thanks for the comment!
I'm constantly needing change. I hate routine. Concluding something like that from a thought that I like my videos to end at the beginning is insane. If I don't have change in my life I feel like the world isn't spinning. It's just the idea of being able to experience a memory from the beginning, but at the end of the memory...hence the reverse. It has nothing to do with not adjusting to anything very well.
what kind of effects did you use to get that soft glowing white light?

i notice with a lot of your videos the people are walking backward, is this conveying a meaning?

I'm trying to find a tape converter so I can get it off VHS. Still working on it, haha.
meheh 2 years ago
simplest option is to send the tape off to be converted onto a DVD to a company etc.
