  • Thank you stinger for all the great memories

  • I'm glad Sting never came to WWE. Never needed him

  • It's funny that you thought this was the last time you ever would see Sting, you thought he would be a nobody. The fact that he managed to become an Icon after is amazing.

Even at this decade and at his age he is still known to casual fans around the world.

And he's had great fueds with guys of the new generation, the likes of Kurt Angle,

AJ Styles, Christian Cage, Samoa Joe, Mr Anderson, Rob Van Dam, Abyss.

    Sting still RULES !

  • @onthe515 to be correct sting never was employed by the WWE. His contract was thru WCW and their associates. Vince purchased only certain contracts but Turner and company were still accountable for the others that had guaranteed contracts. Sting was technically never employed by WWE. Sorry man.

  • The last Nitro was a historic night, but for one reason that really slipped under the radar. With the last Nitro coming shortly after Vince McMahon purchased WCW, this was the only time in history Sting ever worked for Vince McMahon, putting an asterisk on Sting's claim as the greatest wrestler to never be employed by the WWE.

  • sting has always been my fav wrestlet of all time

  • Would Sting have been good in WWE? Tough call. On one hand, they screwed guys like Goldberg & Steiner (I've never been a big Scott Steiner fan to begin with.), but guys like Jericho, Benoit, & Booker T got pushed to the top & had good runs as champion, so who knows what might've been.

  • @JasonL77 Even tries to say that Vince would have buried Sting, but he would have been an idiot to do so. Say what you want about Vince, but he always does what's good for business at the end of the day and there would have been way too many dream matches to do for him to bury Sting. You're talking Sting-Taker, Sting-HBK, Sting-Rock, Sting-Austin, Sting-Mankind (they could bring up their old rilvary), we might have seen Sting-Angle in a WWE ring instead of a TNA one. No way he woulda got buried.

  • I remember watching this live!

  • chuck norrris is better.

  • lol he picks bats like apples off a tree stings to gangster

  • ok so why let they Booker T be WWE Champion? or Chris Benoit? Or Chris Jericho?

they buried assholes like Steiner and Jewberg

  • ITS SHOWTIME FOLKS!

  • I must address the new school pricks ,I mean so called Fans, Wrestling to me has not been the same since the deaths of the territories, completly in the very early 90s,having only WCW and WWF for main wrestling viewing was just shocking after, being a fan in the 80s,and being snowed under with wrestling, the problem with wrestling today, is mainly the newer fans that dont have a connection to wrestlings past. They believe everything Vince does or tells them, that spells RIP 4 wrestling :(

  • The end of the Sting/Flair match was great, when both of them shook hands.

  • @as19931

I quit watching then when shitty wcw invaded wwf in 2001

  • why did wcw go rupt?

I MEAN WCW IS SHIT AND ALL but why

  • Say what u &/or even STING has/will/might...He TOTALLY deserves 2 be in the WWE/ANY HALL OF FAME...

  • God bless you Mr.Borden. You are an excellent representative of Jesus. Jesus lives!!!

  • Listen to sting at :18, maybe on 2-21-11 we might might just see sting. If we're lucky.

  • Sting is the greatest wrestler ever!!!

  • He's such a nerd, I mean he's been cosplaying Brandon Lee for like twenty years now. It's awesome, though I think that he had enough talent to make in WWE, he just...didn't have to.

  • Great promo by the Stinger on the final Nitro...very fitting

  • wcw was the greatest wrestling show on the planet

    wwf kinda sucked

wwe is everything that is wrong and fucked up about pro wrestling cmon thw whole show is just talk talk ,and when they decide to put down the microphone and start to talk its the same old cenario slap punch kick and pin wohooooooo,it fuckin blows when was the last time you saw any WERSTLING moves i swear the wcw cruiser weight division hade more wrestling than the entire wwe roster just compare the wcw matches and the wwe BS

  • what a stupid ass room to be in

  • I just laugh that Sting's secret place in the rafters is apparently full of wifflebats.

  • sound was off

  • Since WWE owns all WCW properties, they might as well make Sting a Hall of Famer. He's done enough before WCW's last days.

  • @LJL7 but hes in tna

  • @LJL7 : they wont as long as TNA is alive. that would be dumb if your the WWE why promote someone who has worked for the rival buisness

  • @omairiqbal889 Hey, it's a win win for both companies. WWE makes some money & TNA gets exposure. Not only that, WWE will do anything to get publicity. Did you not see their most recent Christmas highlight video. It had RVD, Kurt Angle, Mick Foley, etc. Not only that, WWE does not fear TNA & even with Sting, Hogan, Angle, TNA still isn't big yet. Key work "YET"

  • @omairiqbal889 I forgot to mention too, it'll only help WWE's public status. It'll make them look good & they looooovvvvvve that.

  • sting is WCW

  • He looks soo frightening

  • The part I liked the most about this promo was when Sting made the comment about the fans wonder what the future holds for Sting and his response to it.....That was pretty neat!

  • reminds me of ronald mcdonald. maybe that's why he was so popular.

  • I love how the last thing he said in WCW was the first thing he said when he first became Crow Sting and that was "The only thing thats for sure is nothings for sure."

  • i remember this. tsn had to switch from wwF to wcw or wcw to wwF.

  • @squmak Vince McMahon (WWE//WWF) bought out WCW.

  • what would sting do if he was in the original ecw?? well never no

  • look how shit wwe is now. well done vince cocky bastard. cenas the best there wow weee

  • i was watching wcw and wwf...... great matches

  • That was a pretty bad-ass promo. :D

  • last wcw nitro

  • I wish by some miracle a WCW style business would come up... TNA is close but they just aint doin it quite the same. WCW was the BEST wrestling in the world.

  • Great memories. I forgot how sting would make his promos from the room full of bats

  • I felt so sad when I saw this promo.

  • Sting is great on the mic.

  • at the beggining was that billy kidman... like at the very very begining

  • stinger never sold out

  • Sting should go to WWE and have a Feud with the Undertaker that would be a great strory line

  • @FLAWLESKILLER same here. I always wanted them to meet up.

  • Sting Rules!!!

  • and besides, every second of this promo is amazing, from the psychotic feel to the trademark catchphrase,..sting is awesome

  • sting, the true loyalist. respect

  • @sayanroy36

I completely agree with you, brother. Sting STILL is WCW. Fuck WWE.

Big ups to Sting for not allowing McMahon and the WWE to bury another great WCW name. He was smart enough to not go to them just because they offered big money.

WCW lives on in the name of TNA and the Stinger!

  • @HardkoreUnderground HELL YEAH! TNA MONDAY NIGHT AT 8PM EST! DONT MISS IT

  • tna sign rvd

  • TNA! wohooo

  • no way m8 he on tna

  • now i know i might get heat for this but i would love for one time in my life to see Sting vs Shawn Michaels and i don't care if its in TNA, WWE, ROH, Or in a high school gym i just got a feeling that would be the best match ever

  • sting rulz

  • Sting was so fucken sick... def my favorite wrestler of all time. Much respect to him for never joining WWE, he didnt want WWE to make a mockery of him... who knows what they would of did. Look at Goldberg, he had a short streak in WWE, which in my opinion tarnished his character. But at the same time i wish Sting did join WWE. I miss him ='( Great entertainer!!

  • @cristobalx37 It Did Tarnish Goldberg. Goldberg is one of my all time favorites and the way they made him go out was horrible. You make a match with 2 stars on the way out the door with fans who are Angry at one of them (Brock Lessnar) which over shadowed that G-Berg was leaving for good. I wanted to see G-Berg wrestle somewhere but the way WWE did him I feel kind of bad for having that wish.

  • completely agree. WCW was the best. Man i miss it.....

  • Epic.

  • Where the hell was he whan he was talking? What kind of room has random bats hanging from the ceiling?

  • I'm just utterly amazed that Sting is the one WCW star to NEVER step foot in the WWE ring. I admire the hell out of this man. He was WCW's one true player that stuck it out to the end and didn't sell his soul to the devil to continue his career (WWE). Of course, I don't condem Goldberg as he simply came back because his fans missed him and I missed him too, but Stinger; Stinger is the true WCW warrior. It's showtime baby!

  • Amen. Many or all have gone back and forth but stings more than a wrestler, hes a dam legend, true character sting never sold out, u gota respect a man like that.

  • Goldberg came back because of the money, not because he missed his fans ha.

  • look I loved Goldjew as much as the next guy (at least up until he beat Hogan, after that it got old). But Goldberg is purely about the money %110 percent.

  • oh come on if you think any entertainer is on stage for the fans ur dumb ... its business ...

  • yeah I know it, it would have probably felt like when Bret Hart went to WCW or when Kurt Angle went to TNA.....those guys are just so painted in WWE colors, its bizare to see them with another organization.

If I saw Sting walk out on a Monday Night Raw in 2001 to challenge The Rock or HHH, I probably would have thrown up.

  • @DeathAdder83 so what about hulk hogan then....im not disagreeing with what ur saying one bit.....but hulk hogan was the reason i thought wcw was a big joke......like look at this wwf has been still trying

  • @DeathAdder83 : & unfortunately it may not ever happen... ]0\

  • @DeathAdder83 in an interview with mike tenay in tna sting said he would never go to wwe because he has seen legends like kevin nash scott steiner and scott hall be misused in wwe

  • @jojajo301 If he's talking about Hall/Nash's early-mid 90's run with the WWF....then he is insane, that is what put them on the map, and their run in 2002 was short lived due to Hall being a drunk and Nash blowing his knee out. As for the Steiner thing......he had a couple of botched matches with Mr. WWE HHH and that's why he was let go....overall though I don't think highly of Steiner....guy's a walking train wreck.

  • @DeathAdder83 rock or hhh dont have shit on the stinger

  • @CrueFest411 undertaker pwns all of them

  • @Kaizenamazen i would have killed to see taker vs sting. two of the biggest icons in wrestling. that wouldve of been something.

  • @DeathAdder83 How About This HBK VS DIAMOND DALLAS PAGE HHH Vs STING UNDERTAKER VS HULK HOGAN THE ROCK VS BOOKER T STONE COLD VS GOLDBERG

  • @MasterOfTimeForever Well we did get a Rock vs Booker T fued at one point in the WWE, and Stone Cold did deal out at least 1 stunner to Goldberg.

  • @DeathAdder83 The Others?

  • @MasterOfTimeForever lol well actually looking at it for a second time, Undertaker vs Hogan happend both in the early 90's and in the early 2000's. I missed it because of the lack of commas (,). I don't know if you are a younger fan or not, but dude....youtube is a treasure cove of wrestling history, google Hogan/Taker or Rock/Booker. Ironically I'm watching a video right now on "WrestlingRoundTable" about the WWF InVasion.

  • @DeathAdder83 lol I Know Hogan Faced Undertaker Numerous Times In The Early 90s And 2002 But If u Look At The Others What Will U Do If You were to chose who feuds with who???

  • @MasterOfTimeForever I think that Stone Cold vs Goldberg would make for an insane buy rate back then, it would probably be a pretty sloppy match though. For the actual wrestling itself....maybe a Sting vs Rock, since Sting is WCW born and breed and him and Rock were both high energy.

  • @DeathAdder83 sting vs the rock >-< god you demeen sting with that there are few people in wwe who deserve a shot against sting and the rock who jumps towards where ever the money is higher is not one of them if sting was to go on wwe more likely be against taker or HHH

  • @DeathAdder83 problem with that is Rock was a horrible wrestler. High energy to be sure, but sloppy skill and gernally a punch punch kick rockbottom and over kinda guy. HBK, Taker would have been great in ring with Sting

  • "The Only Thing That's For Sure About Sting, Is That Nothing's For Sure." He said the same thing before not speaking for 13 months in his crow gimmick. AWESOME

  • See WCW would had been great if the right buyer would had bought them. TNA is making a lot of mistakes like WCW did in 2000, I hope TNA gets a big time investor into the company, and really starts up a wrestling war, it would be good for the busniess and it would attract wrestling fans back to the product agian. With only one wrestling company thats mainstreamed, the wrestling fan dosent have a choice. A lot of folks havent ever heard of TNA. If TNA could get its chance, it could rival WWE :)

  • WCW WAS THE BEST .

  • On the contrary, The NWA was the best. WcW was a different animal.

  • i remember an former champ from the nwa.. mil mascaras ha nwa was international.

  • sweet promo by sting

  • 1st of all the company was going under and AOL/Time Warner didnt want WCW vince had no choice but to purchase it. From a business standpoint its a no brainer oppertunity. Yes WCW was great. from 97-99 but in the end bad management and teh fact that the inmates ran the asylum was teh down fall of WCW. O that and Vince Russo,

  • I wish Sting would do a 6 month farewell tour in WWE, he is 50 now, he is the GREATEST wrestler to never be WWE Champion. I would love to see him wrestle Undertaker at WM26. Such a dream match would surely draw bigger than any opponent you could throw at the Taker off of the current WWE roster.

It would be worth it, even if they signed him for that match only!

  • Yes! I would love to see that, too. I want to see Sting beat the Undertaker at WM26.

  • Sting is a very capable athlete. He also has personal convictions, his beliefs began to interfere with his wrestling.

Just imagine turning down a high paying career because of your religion or beliefs. Wish him the best.

  • i sure miss WCW...

  • I didn't like this Sting very much. He was too campy. What happened to "descending from the darkness, standing ominously in the crowd, and all the mysterious gimmicks" he used to pull to wow people? I want the dark Sting back. Mr. Theatricality.

  • sting+hitman+=wcw

  • It´s Showtime fox!!

  • not fox...but FOLKS..

  • Sting seems a little nuttier than he is now

  • I love STING :DDD

  • goldberg was just as guilty of destroying wcw as the nwo were they saw stone cold's success and and tried to make their own with goldberg and when they brought hogan they let him beat evereyone easy and had sting and flair loose to them on a regular basis.

  • Goldberg was not like Austin dude ....

  • Goldberg was actually the solution to their problems. He was a home-grown talent that they developed themselves. But rather than showcasing him properly and keeping him on top (he was even in the semi-main events when he was champ) WCW had him drop the belt to Nash who in turn lost to Hogan on a finger poke.

  • wrestling RIP

  • WCW ruled, even if they didn't really know how to run it on a global level. Sometimes I think Vince sent Nash and Hall to WCW, just to destroy it with the '' nWo ''

  • lol would of been funny but nah

  • @DMPKillaz me too lol

  • @DMPKillaz destory? Hall and Nash were the only reason I watched WCW. lol

  • What sucks about WCW is that no one knew how to run a sound financial business on a World level. All the way back to the NWA days people just kept things a mess.

Once Vince made things Global and erased territories everyone else was kind of dumbfounded on how to run a promotion. Back in 87-89 NWA/WCW really had better talent.

But if you watch old NWA/WCW shows the camera work was horrible. The production values Vince had dwarfed that of the NWA/WCW back then.

  • How poignant. Sting's last words on Nitro were "It's show time folks!!!"

On WCW, it was always showtime. It will forever be showtime.

  • I miss WCW. They were the last of the golden age in my opinion.

  • @PeoplesWar well put

  • TNA Sting, is shit compared to WCW Sting.

i still love the dude, no question there, but now he has become a member of The Main Event Mafia he hardly wrestle's :( it's gay...

  • i miss this guy, i really do, he was one of the last greats before wrestling totally turned to shit thanks to vince

  • yeh i wasnt all vinces doing wresting turned shit if wcw never sold to wwf/e everything would still be perfect

  • One answer..... Watch the dvd Monday Night wars and you both understand that you should kiss vinces ass

  • ok il go pick myself up a copy next time im in town

  • yea from what i heard was that WCW fuck themselves up is it true?

  • Correct what Vince did is accually save the precious history WCW had by buying the rights for the footage, names etc... People who run WCW were full of crap they stole built talent from WWF and gave and pushed no new talent themselves when they finally realized they are fucking up(1999) Bischoff got fired and some lunatic who buried WCW into the ground took over. So yeah WCW was never to last its only function was to be better than the WWF. Another thing is the good talent WWE saved

  • Sting, Ric Flair, the Giant/BigShow, the Steiners, Harlem Heat, The Road Warriors, Rey Mysterio, Benoit, Jericho, Dusty Rhodes, The Four Horsemen? None of them were pushed in WCW/NWA?

  • Are you forgetting that McMahon stole all the talent from the AWA and took the WWF national. Hulk Hogan, Bundy, JYD, Hennan, Okerland, Piper, Ventura, Adonis etc were all from the AWA.

McMahon basically raided the AWA dry and then put their wrestlers on his national programming.

I love how people conveniently forget this fact.

  • mhm

  • Its all about business!! Vince had the money they wanted while awa didn;'t

  • its called GETTING RICH you take all there best people make them yours and guess who's bank account gets bigger by the second....he did the same thing with the WCW BEFORE he bought it!!!!!

  • Not only that but a lot of the current roster is made up of old WCW and ECW guys.

  • JYD never wrestled for AWA.

  • eheh that dvd is a WWE product...wCw was a greatest fed and WWF/E will suck 4 ever.

  • Didn't Bishopp Hogan and all the other WCW people talk there? Even if its WWE I do not think they are lying because it was their business their heart and soul

  • Didn't Bishopp Hogan and all the other WCW people talk there under contract with WWE? ;)

  • Yeah but come on now. Bishopp built WCW and made it what it is I am sure he would no go and tell anything but the truth on this matter.

As for Hogan he created a second character that people loved and carried WCW on his back for long, he was the main villian so techniclly WCW owed a lot to Hogans hard work why would he trash it?.

And we got the bald interviewer(forgot his name) I dunno if he was even in contract back then

  • WWE change the 90% of the real fact,so I don't believe to this dvd...Bischoff made a good work with his commercial skills,he grow up a beautiful roster he was so proud about his work on wCw....then he sign 4 WWE and he change his mind....

  • Mean Gene Okerlund was the interviewer

  • Ah yes thats him thank you

  • sorry didnt see someone answered it, sorry bud :-)

  • DrRPG- The bald interviewer, Would i be right in thinking it being Gene Oakland? or however you spell his name

  • mean gene

  • @wCwNeverDie u sure? wt bout warrior taker hbk and old the legend tht made wwf first thn to wcw wt bout them ernt thy somtn n

  • @originparcour lol Warrior? only screams and steroids,HBK?Vince's lick ass,Taker? Was lame like Hogan.the only good ppl in WWF was Andre,Yokozuna,Austin and Rock.I told u,WWE is 4 kids,no wrestling there.

  • @wCwNeverDie wtver man but still wwf existed more thn wcw or tna so wt u say now? alot legends become known cuss of wwf look at hall of fame each year in wwe hw mny ppl get unductee theirs more if it wasnt for nwo who all belong to wwe wcw wud be notin trust me nwo made wcw look cool unless u ddnt like the top names luger was wwf aswel so wt u say now

  • @originparcour luger was a wcw wrestler, then he went to wwf to fight yokozuna and tag with bulldog...tell me,he has a great career in wcw or wwf?flair was a wcw original like sting and many others.u have to admit, wcw has more hype than wwf...oh most of wwf superstars was in wcw in the beginning like taker, nash, triple h,cactus jack,austin,flair,LOD...

  • @wCwNeverDie but u have to idmit were did flair get hes farewell from u cant beat wwf ok it existed long time, am just speaking the truth i watched wcw way before wwe began cuss of hogan and stuff am not speakn bout wwe now nowdays is crap am spkn bout old wwf dx stonecold rock taker all those ppl am wcw fan and alot of them became top at wwf k were did taker begain hes wrestlemnia streak wwf init ppl knw him as streak look at hbk career u gota respect wt wwf done to alot ppl

  • @originparcour flair make his last apparence in wwe because wcw was dead,it's simple...now he is in TNA..respect wwf? why? vince is a dickhead,he screwed bret and make wwe a playground 4 kids...if u have respect 4 vince it's not my problem.i told u,the only good ppl in wwf was Andre,Yokozuna,Austin and Rock.

  • @wCwNeverDie i understand but without wwf i dont think other wrestler compnay would be grown this much look at japan wrestling compare to tna japan wrestlin is unkown cuss of wwe tna became better cuss of the wcw and wwf stars been their as much as u hate vince u gota respect wt he did for hbk, look the problem between hbk and vince had at begining and now hbk thnks vince for the job y cuss hes cool, vince i knw he likes to hve fun hes not like other boss i get it

  • @wCwNeverDie also wivout those legends i dnt think alot of wrestlin superstars wud be grown nowadys, and btw i seen old vid of flair he was in wwe aswell u know not jst wcw anyway wcw was my fav but is passed u gota let go and sting is the only superstar whch he ddnt went for wwe i think that was the best he did cuss he loved wcw so much anyway bret returned to wwe cuss of vince he payed him alot money to come bk bret ddint had to but he wnted to come atlest respct legns not vince k

  • @wCwNeverDie

    LOOOOL

are you saying the attitude era sucks? you fucking asshole, attitude era > wcw

  • @Fondrom I don't care about your stupid mark comment.WWE is not only "attitude era" you know?so now go and support fag cena o gay mysterio kiddo :D

  • @wCwNeverDie Even though Sting is going to it?

  • @wCwNeverDie wcw was only better in the sense that its pro wrestlin an thats as far as it goes...wwf/e is a whole lot more they had superstars wcw had great wrestlers its was too cheesy and wasnt as exciting

  • No, not everything would still be perfect. People would suffer injuries, if you call that perfect... Somethings wrong. But if you're talking about Wars of WWF/WCW, you're wrong as well. Vince had NOTHING to do with the self-destruction of WCW. Like a ticking time bomb, if you don't know how to defuse it and you're just pulling wires, sooner or later it's gonna self-destruct. So WCW was a ticking bomb from 1987-1998. Even with NWO, it just drove people insane, behin the scense, people hated it.

  • personally, im not so much of a fan of sting in tna. thats not me saying he should be in wwe, thats me saying that sting in this video seems sooooooo much more cooler!!!

  • I dunno about that. He's made it pretty clear in a video, that's actually on youtube now, that he'd not join the WWE due to the fact he diden't trust how he would be used.

  • IT'S SHOWTIME FOLKS!!!!!!! dat is awsome

  • dont they....

  • i watched that:)

  • miss wcw nwo was the best and sting 2

  • Stings voice and facial expressions remind me of Jim Carrey for some reason....
