I fucking love hockey, but I hate the big checks in center ice. Checking on the bords is fun unless it's from behind. Center ice hits are a sign of either anger, desire to injure or lack of stick controller to simply just poke check [ a very effective tool ] in my opinion. I enjoy the beautiful dekes, but most importantly the beautiful plays. Imagine scoring a goal with all five players on the ice having touched the puck in the offensive zone... JUST MAGICAL!

yeah you can do that... think about it. if a puck gets flipped to a defender at the blue line and he catches it in his hand and drops it to the ice to keep it in the zone, that's perfectly legal. this is essentially the same move but the puck never leaves the ice
