  • One of the greatest ever. I'm a loyal fan and I'm American.

  • Personally, the guy was a great athlete and very entertaining. He was what boxing needs more of. More of a risk taker and a guy who goes for it more than these sissy safety first, boring fighters who can't wait for the score cards.

To all you haters, I am American, and I say screw you and all of today's boring feathers. He could have ducked Barerra and had a great global career and been even more of a legend like.....Floyd.

  • The prince was small but carried raw power' the prince was fast and had an ego to match' damn he was loud he was proud and was a delight to watch!!

  • american biased commentators trying to defend thier boxers any chance they can saying all the bollock they did in this fight what a joke they are.

  • The Prince in his prime would have beaten any of 2days feathers..

  • @sidfrost81 a prime prince probably wouldnt lose. and b4 any1 says anything he wasnt in his prime against barrera far past it.

  • To Naseem: You were lookin like a fool with your hands on the ground! (Not a Hamed insult I meant to bring up the point that he keeps his hands low while fighting)

  • i would love to beat the shit out of that little arab lol. not because hes arab, just cause hes a twat

  • @r0llskyay0 shame if you ever got in a ring with him you wud be put in a coma. regardless of how much bigger you probably are. but id love to see you get knocked out by him. id put it on youtube under the name pussy gets battered. keep you ignorant comments to yourself.

  • what a fighta!!!

  • i like the prince but that's a load of crap. Barrera would of won all day everyday against naseem

  • i take it you haven't heard of the pacman?

  • lol and i thought the british commentators were biased, these guys actually thought alicea was gonna blow hamed out after the first KD.

  • NAz hits hard, his boxing is amazing!!!

  • he was actualy leaning back and still throwing shots, he was a cocky git but he had amazing reflexes and power, easiest the hardest puncher of his day

  • amazing.

  • lol WHEN U SAY DETROYED U MEAN THE REF STOPPED THE GAME !! berrera WON BY DECISION YEE BUT HOW MANY TIMES HE LOST !!! THE PRINCE NEVERR NEVERRR NEVERRR GOT KNOUCK OUT !!! that wut u CALL 3EZATE NAFS !! go traslate it

  • Calm down... your bickering ain't gonna get anyone's attention... let by-gones be bygones.

  • Hamed was a SENSATIONAL fighter unfortunately his arrogance made him little friends, but more costly it prevented him from fulfilling his potential, yes I know he is the second longest reigning Featherweight champion in history & the greatest Featherweight puncher but his loss to Barrera (particularly the manner of it) left an impression he wasn't as good as he thought he was. The media and boxing aficionado have jumped on the bandwagon claiming Hamed isn't a legend. But what a fighter!

  • yes good fighter, but to be a legend you have to beat famous fighters, he hasnt beaten a single fighter that will be remembered 10 years from now.

  • To be fair to Naz there was no-one around who could challenge him in his prime. Barrera was nowhere after he got KO'd by Jones and that left Kevin Kelley. After Kelley it had to wait ANOTHER 3 years and by then he had more than established himself as a figher of the highest class. Barry McGuigan called him "an exceptional fighter... one of the best in the past 34 years (since 1967)".

  • Too much is made of that loss, it was only 3 points and he WAS looking dissinterested for like a year before that.

  • But it was an empathic defeat. One that highlighted Hamed's inferior boxing skills and his over-zealous desire to counter it with risk-taking offense. That's how Barrera was able to hit him and encircle him with ease 'cause Hamed was being one-dimensional, he wasn't using his head but rather his heart. That's how fighters get beat. Similar to Hatton v Mayweather. Only diff is Hamed had a MUCH better chin. He had more KO's in world title fights than Tyson. A remarkable fighter who'll be missed.

  • i think taht said lawal fight had gone to his head a bit cuz he fought the first round like an idiot. in the second he used his jab a lot and found the opening

  • naseem is very clear he has elastic body and accurate attack

  • great entertainer yes

  • He makes my top 10 greatest British fighters, though. The showmanship is a consideration but only after considering power, speed, and agility. He had loads of those, lads! Easily a top 10 British pound 4 pound.

  • So who would be your top 5? If you're talking about success and records then Nas is way out of the top 5 brits, but as far as fighting form when in their peak pound pound goes, Nas was among the very top.

    No order.

    Nas

    Bob Fitzsimmons

    Nigel Benn

    Ted Lewis

    Chris Eubank

  • are you joking were is Jimmy Wilde the greatest puncher ever from britian 99ko"s & only 7st, voted by Ring magazine the 3rd hardest puncher of all time, & greatest flyweight ever, "the ghost with the hammer in his hand" is it because he is welsh!

  • Good list but for me you've missed out a few legends...

    1. Naseem Hamed

    2. Ted Kid Lewis

    3. Jimmy Wilde

    4. Lennox Lewis

    5. Joe Calzaghe

  • What a left hook, sweet blow to the face lmaoooo, Greatest Feather weight of alltime? no wrong Greatest boxer of all time.

  • everyone knows the prince never even bothered training for the barrera fight. plus marco was on drugs aswell

  • Greatest Featherweight of all time. That's all there is to it.

  • I think this video has been ever so slightly sped up...

  • You clearly don't understand boxing.

  • lol right off the bat you can tell daniels bad

  • damn he watching so good and he is fast !!

  • naseem king of the worlf

  • Thats what will happene to ANYONE who try to fight an ARAB one on one.....we the Best...WHOO WEEEEEEEEEEEE..

  • marco antonio barrera

  • Marco sharted.

  • nas is a tosser

  • naz surely brilliant all the boxer put their hands on the face to cover it up, but he doesnt do that.. hes really fast indeed

  • naz is still the one nd only prince in boxing as of right now

  • AND WHO IS THE BEST!!!?? :) - MY KING! =)

  • he didn work out enough for that fight, lazy...and barerra used steroids. after that he got fat and retired.

  • went down and came back, a sign of a true legend

  • Great fighter, but his lack of focus screwed up his career. And his style could only keep him up for so long. It depends on power, sort of like Tyson. Once the power is gone, if you don't have the boxing skill of someone like Hopkins, Mayweather or (even though I didn't like him) Lenux Lewis, you're done.

  • barrerra lost 5 times. naz only once. whos better?

  • Barrerra was clearly a better fighter than Naz. That fight was the best proof of the statement "Styles win fights". He only lost once because he never faught again.

  • he fought once after the defeat and the crowd were booing him cos he kept his hands up and didnt knock the guy out, funny how ppl turn on fighters when they arent doing what ppl want to see. if u aske me those ppl that boo arent boxing fans thay just ppl who want to see a bit of action and say 'i was there'

  • Q. ' barrerra lost 5 times. naz only once. whos better? '

    A. No way of really knowing unless they were to fight each other.....

Hang on, they did didn't they?

(What a fucking stupid question mate, well done.)

  • Then by your logic is Vernon Forrest a better fighter then Shane Mosley?

  • naz faced maybe 2 or 3 world class fighters...

barrera countless... so to answer your question

    MARCO ANTONIO BARRERA

  • naz fought noads of world class fighters, u ppl make me sick with ur bullshit comments. u dont know whit, when naz fought barerra he wsa on the slide. when naz was in his prime he fought everybody and beat everybody including top mexican an american fighters, naz was a legend

  • weren't luisito espinosa and erik morales floating around his division?

  • Naz beat 4 champions-took their belts( four world class fighters)-the great Barrera also fought world class dudes and got knocked the ......

  • naz never fought Manny pacuoi or morales! Manny would have murdered Naz!

  • keep dreaming

  • that punch at 554 came from no where

  • barrera is fuck top ..he gat a chance .big chaaaaaaanc in his fuckin life ..if he fight with nassem againe

  • what an awesome fight,.. they`re so fast o0

  • barrera beat naseem clearly, excuses excuses

  • Alicea would have survived the round. That referee screwed him.

  • this guy naseem hamed makes boxin worth wachin. im just waitin 4 his cmebk

  • shame hes to busy sat on his sofa waiting for his kfc lol

  • he will never come back. do you think if he did he could beat Manny?

  • surely!

  • no way, man this man is a clown compared to pacman

  • the ref shiould had let him get up!

  • naseem is sikkkkkkkkkkkkk!! he is got very powerfull punches!!

  • hey check out my video :o _ MeetYourFling (.COM) _

  • sometimes i wish he had beat barerra cos he was entertaining

  • is Nas would have wanted to beat Barerra he could have easily, if you watch the fight you could see that his heart wasnt in it anymore

  • i watched the fight..and hts bull he got beat fare and square

  • i completely agree, but if you'll notice in the fight, there was no real Nas flare, it was like watching a different boxer

  • dunno bout tht but all i cn say is tht his technique was pathetic,he was jumping in for punches ithout thinking and ended up getting smacked each time

  • thanx ironmike!

    go naz go!!

  • MMMmmm im a lil tease alright!?x come pay me a visit on ... Play-Cam(.COM) ...

  • Why did the ref hold him down? That was weak. Theatrics by the ref outdid the theatrics by Naseem in this one. I know I'll hear blah blah blah he was on his way to losing anyway but god he didn't get a chance. The ref suffocated him after that second knockdown.

  • nah he had to hold him down, he was a mess.

  • You at least see if the guy can get up on his own, then issue a few questions to see if his brain is still there and look at his eyes to see if there's life. You don't physically hold him down and say fight over. What we both saw was basically the same thing (Alicea was in no man's land), but you go through with the procedure anyways. Otherwise any ref can hold any fighter down and call it a TKO. That's why everyone thinks the sport is crooked and MMA is getting a foothold over boxing.

  • I see your point. To be fair the ref saved him from being knocked down again who knows the bloke could of ended up in a bad way. For me there was definetely no way back though.

  • the beginning of the end for naseem

  • no one can argue that he wasnt entertaining

  • Naz is Mr dodge

  • oh my gosh...classic!

  • His entrance for this fight as awesome. Mayweather took the idea for the Gatti fight.

  • What he do for this one?

  • He was carried into the ring by "slaves" on a palanquin. And then there were women who threw flower pedals in front of him as he walked the rest of the way to the ring. It was awesome. He also left the ring being carried by it as well.

  • haha fantastic!
