NO WAY!! My asus has that potential? oh but you have 2gb ram don't you... hmm i got the worst version- asus n10jc which has 1gb ram, 160gb hardrive, and windows xp. if i get vista and do some upgrading... i can have...... what's shown in the video ?!!! well i wanna get windows 7 instead though :( hmmm any advice or crucial info for me before i do all this upgrading?
i have just reformatted my n10j with xp pro, everything runs perfect but HD video playback since it does not play smooth.
by the way before reformatting it and installing xp, i had VISTA business installed on and i tested hd playback there, no problem.
is it a XP issue that does not enable something?? video im trying it's a true hd i have personally encoded from my hd video cam, and plays perfectly on same setup and my studio quad core computer.
actually if you use windows vista, it works much better.. for XP, you gotta use the nvidia AND the windows media player classic w/ klite mega codec pack installed, that way im able to play them, NOT with windows media player since tha tone uses massively the CPU and the atom is not enough.
hmmm...but i heard there was problem of slow starting & shutting down of vista on N10J, that the manufacturer decided to swap vista biz for xp home, like mine...anyway, thx Gabrio ;)
hi, thanks for ur recommendation, my N10J can play HD video with the klite mega codec! But not really dat smooth, tell u a good news, i made some research & found that KMPlayer actually has got nPure HD support, & this one really plays HD smooth on my n10j, thx anyway ;D
do you step by step instruction how to setup codecs & stuff to play 1080p. I could use my N10j to play some 1080p file but some doesn't work? only sound?
hey what do i hate to at my pc to watch mkv 1080p smoove video but no symncronized ounds thx in advance? which is more important gpu or cpu or audiocard i got onboard audio.? and cpu 1600 mhz video 128mb 128bit nvidia 768 mb . i only can see 720p 1080p is not working whhyyyyyyyyyyyy?
Yeah but you should do this on an actual 1080p monitor and see how smooth that is haha! Your screen is small and EVR has scaled it down hella most likely 720p. Your watching 720p most likely not 1080p.
Amebixfan is right. It actaully render at 1080p then downscaled. it did nt render a 720p video at 600p, so you are actually looking at a very sharp video because it is down scaled. Sometime 1080p quality is not all that 1080p either, for most tends to be highly compressed ended up a bad quality. 1080p will looked nice on a 60% scale really
Yes. VC1 is supported by the 9300M GS. I tested it with an M2TS Blu-Ray rip of "Blue Planet" (1990) and VC1 is fully offloaded to the nVidia GPU via DXVA.
Question, can I connect this to an external monitor through HDMI and get 1080p. but with default settings and codecs (using VLC player) on vista... also is this possible on XP... PLZ answer anyone.
this is all possible because of your custom decoder setup, right? because coreavc wouldnt be able to do this because the cpu is too slow, but you managed to pipe it through powerdvd 8 manually?

DOes it still run smoothly without hardware accerleration (eg when you play using vlc?).

Use VMR9 (renderless) ** for XP with MCP HC original codecs. You don't even need PDVD. Plays 1080p with 30% CPU load

Crysis? Are you kidding?
Of course it cannot run it.
Its a netbook, not a game rig.
TrueScrewball 3 years ago
It doesn't run Crysis. But it DOES run Crysis Warhead with everything on low.

Yes. 1920x1080P is supported on the 9300M GS's HDMI port, along with digital audio passthrough.

its the graphics card that does it, it has, as he said, "...nVidia GeForce 9300M GS which has full PureVideo HD support."
naterd00d 3 years ago
it is really smooth! Thats also h264, 45% cpu load is very good. Have you tried overclock the GPU? - and maybe the cpu load might drop
