@SeoulSarah They are either Icelandic words or not words at all. I think it's called subvocalisation, or something along those lines. It's when an artist uses sounds instead of actual words. She does it a lot, I think it's wonderful. Another artist who does this is Tom Waits, in a song called Kommienezuspadt :D

The brass sounds great. Organic and dynamic. So often it sounds dreary. Like someones internal organs deflating. Something dead. Not nice. Now some clever person out there needs to remix this with something otherworldly sounding intrumental. That would be atomic. Think about how bagpipes sound at there best..

I agree, this version is amazing. At first I thought "wah, a collection of older songs, why can't it be a new album" but considering how great of a selection she made for voltaic I can't complain.
