  • the biggest intensity of an earthquake ever.. the most powerful shake in the earthquake's history!

  • WTF... wow they can't stand up!

  • Why do Latinos have a phobia for dance floors? They don't want to get shaky.

  • Comment removed

  • @nachito8x We are not "latinos", we are SOUTH AMERICANS,

  • All have sinned and greatly offended the holy God of the bible. The just punishment is death then hell. That's not Gods will. He suffered and died on the cross paying for the law you broke in His life's blood so He could legally dismiss your case. You must repent turn from your sin and trust alone in Jesus Christ for your salvation.

  • @mamainmancj SHUT THE FUCK UP. I lost a dearly friend because of the tsunami. And guess what, he was catholic, so he believed in your "god". And what did he gets? Death. This was a terrible act of nature, and not god's punishment. Go fuck yourself nutcase. Maybe you crazy fuckers need to feel what an 9 magnitude earthquake feels like.

  • @mamainmancj are you kidding or retarded? If you're kidding, it's a pretty lame joke. If you are retarded, I'm sorry for you and excuse me for bringing it up.

  • In fact, quakes are most shocking when you're inside a building, because the structure is supposed to dissipate the energy by bouncing around in waves. Anti-seismic construction codes are very strict in countries like Japan o Chile, where quakes are quite common.

That's why the lanscape of Santiago after the quake looked just the same, no skyscrappers tore down.

  • @CitrineVlogging its not the earthquake itself thats scary. Its just the rolls on your mom kept jiggling 10 days after the quake that shook me up.

  • Omfg this is probably the scariest earthquake video ive ever seen.

  • @Carlosvillalba13 how is this scary a few tables shook ooah i'm terrifed...

  • fuck my life...that would be scary

  • ke horrible sentir ese terremoto no se podian sostener! how horrible is to feel an earthquake its difficult 2 B stand !!! wow OOMMMFFFGGG!!! soo sorry 4 tht city :/

  • it almost loos fake the way everything is moving at the same time.

  • @MegaUnderscore yeah like its gonna be fake.. be fucking real

  • I love the music.

  • OMG O_o

  • i kinda like how after its over everyone goes back and do what they were goin to do before the earthqauke

  • de miedo........

  • SO lucky Japan had the sense to build Earthquake proof buildings... If the buildings didn't sway, they'd all be dead. :(

  • @cobbygobbywobble many buildings in chile have been built strongly now after the 9.0 earthquake in valdivia

  • a correrrrrrrr por sus vidas

  • WTF !!

  • It's amazing, I was holding a wall... just like this.

  • This is the most scariest most devistating thing to ever encounter. We had a little earthquake once and I was at home at the time and I remember the slight swaying back and forth and I absolutely thought I was going to die. The first thing you think of is your life and not being able to see your loved ones or be with them. Its a horrible horrible feeling.

  • @Bella760205 being close to dieing doesn't allways make you think of your loved ones

and it certainly doesn't make your life flash before your eye's

i'm not saying you are lieing ! don't be offended

    but it's different for everyone

when i allmost died 2 years back i wasn't thinking of anything i was just staying calm and waiting for the sound of the ambulance ...counting seconds to see how long i was laying there ...after 24 seconds the ambulance was there

so i passed out alot !!

  • fuuuuck! :O woooow

  • scary shit in here....

  • omg i hope they will be fine

  • omg..

  • omfg thast shit scary look how its moving and its way up in the 12 floore thats sick !! its was a monster quake that day shit is going worldwide ... i feel how all the disaster`s in the world in increasing .. its gone be the biggest in the histoy of man kind the great erth changes wich gone take place soon !! Peace all

  • i live in anchorage,ak,,, we have quakes here about 2ce a month on average that you can feel (about 100 a day that you cant) we had a 9.2 in 1964 that lasted 8 minuites,, when they start you always wonder if this is going to be the big one--now imagine being on the 12th floor wondering if the building is gonna fall---no thanks

  • I'm Chilean and I remember that night. i was in a building near the beach in Viña del Mar, the 10 floor to be more accurate playing and started to move all, it was very loud and up the intensity every minute, and my cousin comes up to me and hugs me and says, "there is nothing to do " was terrible as it all sounded until I stop ..was a night nobody slept .. people were scared all near a campfire with people you've never seen .... days later there was much panic

  • Omg, I see this and it makes me cry, I'm gonna remember this night forever... I was working on my pc and then begun a soft tremer, then start very strong and always I can remeber my dad trying to open the door, we can't stay in our feets as you can see in the video

  • yet they don't run outside

  • Japan deals with a lot of small earthquakes everyday so earthquake for them is like singing the alphabet

  • @TeamRedz but this is Chile not Japan!

  • instead of duck and cover, the people goes up to the bar fo mo drinks.

  • im chilean, and this earthquake was powerfull but the chilean people is very strong

  • Id shit myself and clinge onto that.

  • I happen to live in Chile and I experienced this major EQ. I live in Santiago (capital, about 800 Kms away from Valdivia) where it reached nearly 7.2, strong enough to move the floor like it was melting down, and light posts and trees shaking from side to side. I can't imagine being where this footage took place, much closer to the epicentre (200 Kms?) and on a 12th floor!! Must have been F*** scary!!!

  • that is not no earth that is the POWER OF GOD

  • @Zancudito17 There is no "god." Therefore, it is the earth. its explained with REASON,,, aka SCIENCE.

  • @TheBassguy1 what an ignorant fuck you are, i wish an earthquake strikes your fucking country and kills you and your family and them well see who prays to God and begs to him crying

  • I remember I was in my vacations, at 4am watching tv, just when I was going to sleep, switch it to CNN and I could not believe it, I woke up all my family to notice it because it was so overwhelming and shocking. My neighboring country was being attacked by nature forces.. I was just near to crying. I couldnt sleep, remember staying without sleeping just thinking this could be REAL? I know Peru and Chile dont get along so much but that night I swear I FELT we were brothers. Blessings from Lima.

  • That looks terrifying.

I was 7 when the Los Angeles Northridege Quake hit and it scared me so bad I couldn't talk for hours. That was only a 6.7.

  • Oh fuck

  • @qazzzie Few days ago my whole building was moving from 5.4 eaqthquake, i cant even imagine 8.8 it's terrifying..

  • For that the people of Concepción and Talca, insist on saying that in his cities the earthquake was mas strongly I believe that from Santiago to the south of Chile, mas specify Valdivia it was strong enough this earthquake it clarifies the images, Talca was of 8 and not 8.8 as they say thereabouts, the zone of the epicentre was 8.8. In conception it was 8.5 , and in other cities as Rancagua Santiago Scream already coarse it is the limit, they give birth the whole Chile sufrio this not only you.

  • this one was very weak in comparison with my city (talca 8.8 richter). in TALCA it was like 8-10 times more powerful . Cheers.

  • I just came out of the shower when this happen. So freakin scared

  • Comment removed

  • @TheBassguy1 Valdivia is way north to the epicenter

  • @EmmanuelDYanez This one to the south of the epicentre, and in valdivia was mas slow because the fracture was for the north

  • @TheBassguy1 This is the 12th floor Bar of Dreams Hotel y Casino, Valdivia, aprox. at 450km from the epicntr.

I leave the bar of the Hotel 1 hour before the earthquake.

  • @gatomontes I don't know what 450km is... I'm in America and we use miles... So yeah. I have no idea whether that's super far or just regular far.

  • @TheBassguy1 280miles from the epicentre

  • @TheBassguy1 Like... 60 kilometers away.

  • @DiegoGrezProduction Someone already told me that its 450km away and im from America and we use miles. They said its about 280miles.

  • @TheBassguy1 It was in Valdivia, to the south of Chile... I don't know exactly how close to Concepción (the epicenter) it is, but from Valdivia to Conce you travel one or two hour by car, if I remember correctly

  • @MistwalkerZ As you may have already seen, many people have already replied and I am sure of where it is now. Thank you.

  • Thats terrifying, i love that couple in the bottom corner though, he holds on to her the whole time..

  • @qtkelmo I almost cried looking at them too together through something so scary.

  • @qtkelmo That is sweet...

  • glad i wasn't using the shitter!

  • it's so amazing!

  • get me a drink!

  • retard

  • @Planth why is this retard? is an earthquake.

  • im half chilean and i just took a plane there a month ago to go to my grampas funeral.he died of bone marrow cancer and shock from the earthquake.and at the age of 88 its no suprise.i got to expirience some small 2.3 aftershocks and a 5.4 aftershock just 3 weeks ago but know we took a plane back to the usa tampa florida where i belong !

  • this was in chile stupid

  • o.O

  • Earthquakes are happening a bit too frequently now. I know people think that it is normal and that we have always had earthquakes. Some say we are just hearing more about them because of the internet. But something is up. Everyday there is an earthquake somewhere. Even in places like Washington DC where they rarely get them.

  • @SuperFlorida85 I blame the space men.

  • the music played in the video kind makes them seem like there dancing when the earthquakes happening

  • very calm ppl. in in california ppl act like they aint go no damn sense and l like its the end of the world.

  • It goes to show you that when the Earth talks, it screams and it makes darn sure that you hear it!!

  • Wow, look at that. People cling to the bar and go on a dance with the Earth. It's true though, the ground underneth them is actually shifting, moving forward like you would in a car, only sideways. The Earth is dancing under there feet. earthquakes are both awful and awe inspiring. That's the Earth for you. It is both beautiful and deadly.

  • @DarkComet360 and the scariest thing is than this buildig is the last floor (12th) of an hotel in Valdivia... 850 km south from the epicenter, just imagine how strog was near the epicenter like Talca, Concepción or Constitución.

  • @DarkComet360 not to be antihippie but what kind of pot are you high on? i would love to know

  • Es Tremendo la Fuerza loko Es Tremendo .. No Podes Aser Nada Una Re Impotencia.. Aguante Argentina .. ; )

  • @Ogu2009 Soy agnositco, te opregunto Ogu2009, diiste "tenemos grandes pruebas?"

  • Chile 9.5 and now 8.8... Japan 7.2 and haiti 7.2....

  • @leo8202 Amigo, Fin del mundo

    The end of the world

  • Oh my god! Can you see that the people walking are moving sideways!

  • THIS VIDEO IS FROM CHILE, NOT THE US...... AND WAS 8.8, not 7.2

  • @liomaritimo2

    Concepcion: 8.8

    Santiago :8.1

  • fue de 8.8?

  • I wouldve shat my pants

  • that is one well designed building to withstand that kind of shaking

  • @Chammy92243 exactly!!! D': , here in Mexicali with a 7.2 earthquake ppl couldn't stand up, and buildings almost got destroyed D:

  • very true what you say, is not the first nor the last of such magnitude .... Good luck this year .... ...

  • Finally, the video showing this cut that lasts longer and is still moving strong.

  • I also want to say that the video corresponds to a hotel valdivia about 452 km approx. of conception Chile.

  • I'm Chilean and I experienced the 2010 earthquake. It was a terrifying experience, not the wish on anyone..

Chile Force and other countries in a few months also have been living earthquakes of lesser magnitudes.

What is it that this happening? Now shakes northern Chile and has nothing to do with the earthquake that live in the south...

    Fuerzaaaaaaa chile!!!!

  • The truth is a natural disaster, what is not natural is it occurring often. For example, earthquakes in Haiti, Chile, Turkey, Taiwan, India, Indonesia, Baja California, and now in China, my question is what is happening?

  • this was in chile no mexico

  • Holy crap.

  • LOL WHY DO PEOPLE MENTION TIJUANA AND L.A AND S.D.. They felt a 5.something... we got the full 7.2.. Calexico, callifornia and mexicali mexico.. mexicali with mexicali the population a lil over 1 Million and the whole Imperial valley which is around 200,000...

  • This is amazing video. Everyone in it was fearing for their life!! Hugging or holding on to something to keep from falling or being killed. PRAISE GOD FOR KEEPING THEM SAFE and not toppling the whole building. These people will later in life know how to help other people when the next big quake hits.

  • OMFG my house its down (i'm chilean)

  • @juako70mastes - ANIMO....

  • OMG!!

  • Impressive!!!

    8-/

  • It was hard the quake here in Mexicali , Baja but nothing compare to this one ,greetings from Mexicali to Chile

  • That shaking was intense. I can only imagine what the San Andreas will do to us here in So.Cal especially after that long quake we just had in Baja.. I hope that day never comes but we all know it will.. My God that video is scary...

  • IMPRESIONANTE!!!!!!!

  • man that looks freaking scary

  • @200000anthony Dios te perdone por lo que dices.

  • @200000anthony CALLA TU BOCA HUBO UN MEXICANO QUE DIJO LO MISMO Y AHORA SU PAIS TUVO TERREMOTO DIOS ES UNO SOLO Y TEN RESPECTO POR EL PROJIMO QUE PENA QUE HALLA GENTE ASI COMO TU QUE PENA REZARE POR TI AMIGO

  • @200000anthony tus padres deben estar "orgullosos" por "la cosa" que criaron...

  • rockin to the beat! but i would feel scared too

  • Comment removed

  • omg :|

  • this video says feb 2nd, 2010. this is a old video?

  • @tylercj the hispanic date format is kinda different i guess the day is first then the month.

  • @LEAVEMELIVE so this footage is not from yesterday easter sunday?

  • @tylercj nope this one happened on south america, chile it says O.o

  • @LEAVEMELIVE oh pardon me, i was reading the description.

  • Mother Earth telling all people of Earth to change there ways.

WAR IS MURDER! Live in love and you will have peace.

  • OHHH MMMY GOOOODDDDDDD!!!!!!

  • That is scary, no one went under desks tables, or anything though! Things could of fell right on top of them, this third world country's building held strong!

  • only 2% of buidings taller tan ten floors are going to be rebuilt in chile

  • @david16988 ...Chile has been out of third world country status for a while now you fucking retard , your building in where ever the fuck you are from would have fallen.

  • @chilopesca You have to first define 3rd world and I didn't mean it in a bad way. Most people in Chile make less than 600 dollars a month. You are more advanced in some countries but not close to countries like England and the U.S. and if you are from there you shouldn't type the way you speak, it just shows your intelligence.
