@passipassi100 If you're talking about the end away from the machine, it's not. There is an extra bale on the end so the machine has something to push against.
@maceyday thanks for the info, never seen one before. Do you use much as a regular tractor? how long would it take to drop the loader and put the three point linkage on?
@rafathegafa11 It works a lot better as a frontend loader - just because the articulated steering makes the hitch end swing around. But it's nice to have one machine for both uses. It only takes a couple minutes to drop the loader off or reattach it. The three point hitch can stay connected all the time.
On these tubes, we cut a large circle out of some heavier plastic that we had left from our big silage bagger and tucked it around the end of the first and last bales before wrapping them. Some people just put a dry bale on the ends and that is supposed to seal the tube.
When we feed them in winter, we won't need to reseal the tube because the bales will have fermented and stabilized.
Never seen a grapple set up like that, definately a new take on it. How do you like it?

@Afitlife1988 It works really well, prevents getting holes in the top of the bale.

we always use a dry bale on the ends of our tubes and never have any problems with rotting. we bale our silage bales at 45 to 50%
moisture

Good video! Just one question though: How do you seal the end of the tube when you're wrapping them and when the tube is opened in winter time?
