  • Ask either of the guards this question: "If I asked the other guard which door leads to heaven, which door would he point to?" Both of them will point at the door to hell. So, always choose the other door. :D

  • Are you going in 1st? -_- so easy... but not to hard ether.

  • a harder riddle is this, There are three gods, one always tells the truth, one always lies, and one either tells the truth or lies at random and you don't know which is which. You can ask 3 yes or no questions which are answered with ja or da, which means yes or no in their language but you don't know which one is yes. What three questions do you need to ask to identify each god correctly?

  • Ask what heaven is like :P

  • @TheJimmytheREVERENDr ALL Angel know how heaven is like...

  • Which Colour is a carrot

  • what colour is a carrot

  • Ask him which door leads to heaven and hopefully watch its head shake or nod subliminaly to give u the right answer?.. :S

  • is heaven this door or the 3rd door?

  • Ask one guard which door that the other guard would choose

  • Comment removed

  • Ask 1 of them 2 go before u and peek behind them if they g downstairs go through the oppasit door if they go up then follow them!!

  • Dude u never said that the lieing gard was next 2 hell or the truth telling gaurd was next 2 heven. And any way I tyeped in fable 4 and got this!! RIP OFF!!

  • @lilpine23 yay

  • AND he never said the truthful guard was standing next to heaven, and he never said the lieing guard is standing next to hell. therefore just finding out who the liar is doesnt mean hes guarding hell

  • @Duckward1 whats the answer then

  • your all retarded and no1 has given the right answer yet. you can only ask ONE question, to ONE guard, and receive ONE answer

  • You wouldn't - You're dead.

  • i finallly thought of a perfect awnser. ask what will the other guard say then go to the oppisite door. thumbs up if you got stuck to

  • of course you can't look through the door so ask them. are we allowed to look behind the door . the liar would yes, then you'll get to look behind the door. if it's hell go through the other door , if that's the stair way to heaven go through that door

  • Ask one guard: Which way to hell? Mkay I am going that way.

  • actually this is impossible because even if you find a difinitive way to get find which is lying or not, you don't know which door the liar is guarding, he could be guarding the door to heaven for all you know.

and you've already wasted your question on a flawed way to try and sniff out the which is the liar.

  • Ask one guard:

"Is this true: If and only if you tell the truth, the door behind you leads to the stairway to heaven."

    a) the guard says yes -> go through that door

    b) the guard says no -> go through the other door

You won't find out whether he was a liar, but who cares. You'll find the right door nonetheless.

  • tell bone guard a question and go the other way

  • tell bone guard a question and go the other way

  • i'd take the elevator

  • Ask any question that you think they answer with the same answer , the second guard to answer the question is guarding hell.

  • I would ask the gaurd "am i dead?" if he said no then he must be lying and the door next to him is hell, and if he said yes then he's telling the truth and the door next to him is heaven

  • If you ask one guard "Would he tell me this door leads to Heaven"

  • wait wait wait wait.....can sumone plz message me and explain this brouhaha to me.....im so confused!

  • Id take the stairway to hell because it look easier to go downstairs lol But Dayuumm Upstairs looks harder then a bitch

  • Id take the stairway to he because it look easier to go downstairs lol But Dayuumm Upstairs looks harder then a bitch

  • i would ask "which door opens the stairway to heaven?" deuuuh you didn't even make the riddle complete ... the way you explained it now they both say the truth

  • you should ask any of those guards "what will the other guard say?" if the the answer is correct, then that guard is the one who tells the truth; therefore he should know the right door. Thus if the answer is wrong, that guard is the liar.

  • i would ask him if jonathan is my real name if he saids yes ill know he is lying cause he always lies. if he saids no ill know he is telling the truth cause that is not my name :)

  • @dxjames007 but then you cant ask him which is the right door =]

  • @dxjames007 LOLOLOLOLOLOL

  • whats the bloody answer?

  • id say screw u guys im going home

  • Ask if u both look identical , the that lies says no, the other 1 should say yes

  • which door would the other guy say goes to heaven? then go through the other door.

  • @DeanYezir you only get one question

  • you open a door

If the staircase goes down pick the other...

    If it goes up

    Yay heaven!

  • I would ask. Am I dead or alive? That should give me a clear idea of whos lying.

  • 2 easy :)

"other gard always lies" on the door on the right the this pot looking thing with words on it, ask that guard waht it say ! if he say the right one then his door is the right one ?

maybe i could be wrong >.< but that would be my best bet i guss. i like to knoe the asnwer srs !!

  • I would Ask the guard "point to the door your guarding" if he points to the opposite door that he is guarding, then he is the liar. A liar is a sinner, and therfore, would not guard the door to heaven. If the guard points to his door, then he is the guard of heaven, for he is not the sinner.

  • i went to heaven!!!!!!!.just came back from there to let yaal know.ok by earth.(flys into heaven and kick chuck norrises chin

  • wich door would the other guard say it's correct..

  • This is Beethoven not Led Zeppelin...

  • I would ask him that he's telling me my name. If He Lies i go to another door.

  • @TheDrNickRivieraTV but the lier might be in front of the door 2 heaven.........

  • You ask one of the guards,

"if i were to ask the other guard which door is the right one, what would he say?"

For example, the correct door is the door on the left, so if you asked the truth telling guard, he would say, "The other guard would say, the door on your right"

If you asked the liar, he would say "The other guard will say, the door on your right" He says this, cause he always lies.

  • I would ask him if i had brown hair?

  • ask him if hes a guy

  • Call master chief!!!.

  • man i will think about it when i get there, i am alive...

  • i would ask them what my name is.. or whether heaven exists..

  • I would ask nothing. if one always lies and the other tells the truth

  • Comment removed

  • Which way would your brother say? but the opposite?

  • which door will the other guard tell me to go?

  • I WOULD LET SOMEONE GET IN FRONT OF ME AND SEE WICH GATE THEY PICK WHEN THE GAURD OPEN THE GAYE THEY PICKED I WOULD LOOK AND SEE IS THE STAIRES GOING UP OR DOWN

  • but thats on the assumption that the truth teller is the heaven gate guard. damn.

  • "which door do you guard?"

  • If i wer to ask one question Mine would hav to be: "If you are both identicle how do you know wiether his/his door leads to where>?" and let them give me the answer lol...xD

  • i'll definitely ask. if they are identical twins? ^^

  • Just ask them something stupid like:

Are you a piece of chocolate cake? OR

Are you a bomb made of cheese?!

  • @Animatordragon and then what? you can only ask one question. You still dont know which door leads where

  • @Animatordragon then you wouldn't know which door was to the stairs to heaven of or hell

  • @k0135z4r because U only have ONE question and once you ask them that, you now know who's who but are clueless as to which dor to open!!!

sorry... got a bit crazy there...

  • Comment removed

  • mabye you could say where does the devil live and is he behind this door the truthful one would say in hell and yes or no while the one that always lies would say in heaven and the wrong door.

  • the answer is "if i asked the other guard which door lead to heaven which one would he point to?"

  • i would hold them gun point til they both agreed on the anser

  • theyd just send u to hell lol

  • I wud ask "who has more faith in god, u or the other guard?" then i wud choose the opposite from the guy who has more faith bcuz a guy who has faith in god wud try to help people from goin to hell so he guards the door to hell, the one wit less faith cud care less bout u and wud want u to ge to hell, therefore protecting the door goin to heaven.....

  • What would the other guard say if i'd ask him if this is the stairway to heaven?

If the answer is: "No", you can pass. If it's "Yes", you should take the other door.

  • I would ask a lockpick and check both doors. :)

  • If I ask the other guard, what he would tell me?

The answer will be always a lie

  • I'd ask where am I and what door are you? one question. simple.

  • Thats two questions buddy...

  • it's 2 combined into 1. one question.

  • it's called failure...

  • Ask one guard which door the other person would say leads to heaven. Then go in the other door.

  • you're right

  • @kularic but you wouldn't know weather or not that guard was lying

  • @Problemsxx Let us assume that the right door leads to heaven. If the guard that you asked is telling the truth, he would truthfully say that the other guard would say that the left door leads to heaven. However, the other guard is lying, so the right door leads to heaven. If the guard that you asked is lying, he would say the same thing. However, he is lying so the other guard would actually say that the right door leads to heaven. He is telling the truth, so it must be the right door.

  • @kularic You got that off PPG!

  • @kularic that doesnt make sense, because if you ask the one that tells the true, and you go in the other door instead, you go to the stairway to hell

  • @aztecmondobean - Not quite. If you ask the Guard Who Tells the Truth, what the Guard Who Lies would say, the Guard Who Lies would tell you to go through door B (To Hell), because he always lies. But, if you ask the same question to the Guard Who Lies, what the Guard Who Tells the Truth would say, the Guard Who Tells the truth would tell you go through door A (To Heaven), but as the Guard Who Lies, lies, he would tell you that Guard Who Tells the Truth would say Door B (To Hell.) Pick Door A! :)

  • @kularic then both of them will say the same thing you wouldnt know whos lying cuz they say they both lead to heaven

  • first you would need to know who is the liar then which is the right door. just one question will never work.

  • just say liar which direction leads to hell the liar has to answer and the truth teller must not say a thing because he will not lie about his identity and the question has to be answered so the liar will point u in the direction that leads to hell and then u take that door because him being the liar has accually lead u to heaven

  • @1curtis3

The "Liar" will always lie. Therefore it will not be revealed in one question who is the liar or not. He will pretend to be the truthful guy. You just asked the liar which direction leads to hell, the liar does not answer because he will lie about being the lier. Therefore this question will fail The truth is there is no way to tell who is lying or who is telling the truth with just one question. Don't bother looking for a question

  • @0xNecrox0

Its not impossible the solution is to ask

"If you were the other guard, which door would you say leads to heaven?"

They will both point towards the door that leads to hell, so you pick the other one.

truth tell will be honest point to the door that the lier would point to if asked for heaven (hell door)

and the liar will lie and point to the hell door

    get it?

    the logic is legit

  • @midgety1 totally agree

  • @Problemsxx thanks

  • The liar would lie about his i dentity though

  • if you ask what the other door leads to they both could say hell and you wouldnt know hwo tells the truth

  • llppoiipijytuuuuiii89

  • i would simply ask the guards...... "where am i?"

then i would enter the door which has the guard who can tell me exactly where i am as he is the truthful one. is this correct?

  • @anaylor252005 no...he never said the guard that tell the truth is guard at the door to heaven.

  • wrong because u still dont know whos door leads to hell and whos leads to heaven

  • walk away and find myself in heven

  • I would bring Chuck Norris with me to round house kick both guards and then give him a high five send him back to earth and check both doors...........

  • @cornnag you don't bring Chuck Norris to the end of the tunnel, he takes you to it...

  • Ask any guard what will the other guard will say. If you asked the lying guard then he will say the wrong door so go the opposite door. If you asked the honest guard then his answer will be the same so go the opposite door. Very simple just think about it!

  • u still wont know who is lieing and hwo is telling the truth

  • i would ask one if they new what the other would say then pick the other door duh

  • Honestly I would pray to God for the answer. But theoretically I'd ask one guard to lead me to heaven and follow. This requires no truth or lie of an answer. It didn't say the guards would do the opposite of what I ask them to do.... I think.... Hell I don't know someone tell me if you know!

  • there is no answer. it is a question that u will have to figure out on your own when u get there...if u do get there....

  • ask him where to find a grenade or bazooka, blast a hole in the floor hang down the whole, take a look

  • Even if you were to figure out which one was telling the truth and which one always lies you still don't know which door each of them is guarding so i don't think there is a single question you could ask that could both tell you who lies and who tells the truth and which door each of them are guarding.

  • You ask which door the other guard would say is the door to heaven, then take the opposite door.

You will never know which one tells the truth or lies but you can logically find the correct door.

If you asked the truth giver, he will tell you correctly that the other guard will give the wrong door. If you asked the lair he will lie about what the truth giver will tell you and give you the wrong door. So it will always be the opposite door.

  • easy. i figured it out in a second. you ask them a fact, something that you know is totally true. You know that you are dead, so you ask them. ''Are my dead?''. the lying guard will say ''no'', the other one would say ''yes''.

just incase somebody feeling smart says something not so smart as ''what if youre not really dead?''..well the video said you are...and if you cant be sure, you ask for it anyways cause if youre not dead you must be dreaming, and you cant go to hell if youre dreaming. :)

  • @fmazerolol Well the problem with that is if you found out whos lying then you have just used the only question you could use to find out which stairs lead to heaven. :( Then who cares if the guard lied or not you still dont know where to go.

  • @asialeah07 lol ya, youre right, when i saw the video i assumed that the truthful guard was the one guarding the heaven door and the lying one was guarding the door to hell, but i just saw it again and saw that its not like that so...i guess you just ask ''which door would the other guard say leads to hell'' and you take that door

  • Lol and I learned that from an episode of Yugioh :p

  • @Thunderbender18 what was the answer? or did they not say the answer. :( my teacher is doing another version of this riddle but with a fork in the road. you get to ask the hitchhiker one question and there are 2 pathways one leads to the good town where everyone tells the truth and one leads to the bad town where everyone lies. you don't know where he came from. i was thinking that it's a trick question like the answer to this one would be you wouldn't be given the choice or something.

  • @ItzIsabel. I think you just have to ask him to point to the path that leads to the town where he's from. IF he's from the truth town he'll point to the right path and if he's from the lie town he'll also point you down the right path because thats not where he's from.

  • just say which door are you guarding and go which every way they both point.

  • i say peak thrue a crack of the door and try to c if the stair went up or down lol jk thats a hard 1

  • I would take the right. It has nothing to do with who lies or tells the truth. You would never enter the gates of heaven on the left hand side of the lord. We always sit on the right hand side of the lord.

  • If i were to ask the other guard which door to choose, what would he say??

I would then choose the door the guard i asked didn't say.

    =]

    x

  • i'm wondering if this is a play on words type puzzle because the other guard always lies which could mean he lays down at all times because if we arent alowed to assume that truthfull guard is guarding the stairway to heaven then lets not assume anything so if this is the case then all you gotta ask is the guard thats standing up which is the stairway to heaven

  • Here is the answer! You ask any of the two: which door would the other guard tell me to take. and then you just take the opposite door!!! voila!!!

  • awesome :) I played it out and it DOES work this way :)

  • and what if he was telling the truth...

  • i would ask the gurond on the left which is the one that goes to heaven

  • i would ask the lier that knows which door goes to heaven and just choose the other cause he lies!!!

  • The point is you dont know which one is the liar. . .

If you asked that same question to the guy who tells the truth and went the opposite way you would end up in hell.

What you have to do is ask the guy which door are you guarding and go which ever way he points. If he's the liar he'll point to the heaven door and if he's the truther he'll say the ame thing.

  • which door would your twin tell me to go to if i asked which ways heaven? and then go to the opposite

  • you ask each guard : "If I was to ask the other guard which is the life door, what would his answer be?"

-- The truth teller knows the other guard will lie about the life door and therefore points to the death door.

-- The lie teller knows the truth teller will show you the life door, but he'll lie about it and point to the death door.

--Both of them will show you the death door.

  • you can only ask one guard one question you cant ask both of them a question

  • It wouldn't matter they would still point to the death door even if you could only ask a single guard.

  • not really because you are already dead...

they will show you a door but it wont be the right answer..

  • Yeah but by process of elimination you could just pick the life door, its not that difficult. I mean seriously.

  • its impossible

  • If one guard always tells the truth, and the other guard always lies, you ask...

"How many fingers am I holding up?" If you're holding up one finger, the liar will lie, and the honest one will be honest...

  • You still couldn't avoid hell.

  • yah but you still dont know which door leads to heaven and which to hell

  • are you stupid... honestly. wath you gain with tath

  • it was not stated that the guard telling the truth is in the gate stairway yo heaven..

  • ask am i a boy or a girl since you already know which one you are ask one of them if they lie go to the other door if the say the correct answer go inside the gate

  • i just ask one guard ,i want to go to heaven witch door the others gard would told me to open. in both case ,the lyer would told me a lye about what the non lyer would say and give the door to hell.and the non lyer would tell me the door to hell since he cannot lye on the fact that the lyer would lie about the door . so once you get the hell door you take the other... simple as that .... take me 15 min ,not so simple i guess..

  • From witch boor are you from? is the correct answer (question).

  • whats a boor?

  • ok ive been thinking about it and my answer was based on the asumtion the truth is with heaven. incorrect.

If you ask one 'If I asked the other guard which door leads to heaven what would he answer?', what ever they answer is the wrong door.

if you ask the liar he will point to hell because the truthfull one would point to heaven.

If you ask the truthful one he will point to hell because the liar would point to hell.

  • I would hold out my hand and ask 'what part of the body is this?' if they said hand I would go though the door.

  • what the other gaurd would say if i ask him wich way to heven :P

  • would you say which one would the other one pick as the stairway to heaven and do the opposite of what he says because if you ask the person who tells the truth he will no that the other one would lie so he says the wrong one. if you ask the lier then he will no the truther (ha) would tell the truth and lie so there i think that i right.

  • you ask

"If The Other one was lieing which door would he choose" or somthing along that line message me if its right

  • i would ask one of them: "if I asked the other guard which one leads to hell, which one would he point to?"

because the one that lies would still point to hell because he thinks I think he's the truthful one. the honest one will obvi point me to hell.

  • Just give one of the guards a hard kick to the crotch and shove him through the door. If you hear screaming then it's the door to hell and the other door is the one you want.

  • the one with a building behind him that goes upwards

  • it doesn't matter what guard you pick as long as you ask a question that you know the answer to. if you know the answer is the truth or a lie the your home free.

  • Even if u do find out which guard tells the truth, it isn't stated anywhere that the guard who tells the truth has behind him the stairway to heaven, he can also have behind him the stairway to hell

  • Ah! so true. i didn't even think about that. i just assumed that the one telling the truth would be the one standing with the door to heaven.....go thinking, nice to know someone isn't going to hell!!!! :)

  • ask one gaurd. "would the other gaurd say that this is the stair way to heaven?" no matter what he answered you would know to pick the other door.

  • It will make more since to ask which one goes to hell don't you think..If one lies all the time he tell no truth and If one tell the truth all the time then he don't lie wtf...It's common since

  • And how do you know which one is lying and which one is saying the truth? Example:

Guard1 (Left One): Which door leads to heaven: This one.

How do you know he's the one who says the truth?

  • that was of the labrinthy well apart from the heaven hell bit bu stil copy cat

  • "If i were to ask the other guard which door is correct, what would he answer?"

    Assuming right is correct:

Liar would think Truth would say right so he would respond "left".

Truth would think Liar would say left so he would respond "left".

Go into the opposite door of what both of them say and you'll go to heaven.

  • This is the correct and only way ;) GG

  • I would say: Are you a man?

    Liar would say: no

    other person would say: yes

  • ask him how many fingers im holding up. and he gets it right i go through the door. if he lies i go through the other one.

  • What!?

  • Well, I'm an atheist, so I'll never be stood at the gate considering this :P

  • yeah so am i but wat have we got better to do with the rest of our lives, without youtube all atheists would turn out to be emo, im defo not emo so i have youtube..
