que tratamiento usted esta usando y como se llama la medicasion que esta tomando quisiera saber con detalle que tratamiento usa para el nystagmus what is name of medication
@Buenanuevas Gracias...I think. I'm not really sure EXACTLY what you said (especially towards the end - you lost me at "corrigio"), but I think you said at least one of my eyes is beautiful. So, I'll take it! Me gusta mucho...I think? Maybe. :)
@paramedic It's called "Act Two ~ circulus vitiosus" by Jamie K. I chose it from the audioswap song options provided by Youtube to avoid copyright infringement.
My Husband has Idiopathic Congential Nystagmus and his aunt gave us an article on corrective surgeries for it. I am still researching everything but your video was amazing to see the different stages and the slowing of the movements! When we met people used to call him 'Shifty' so he was super nervous about eye contact. It took 3 years before he really stared into my eyes. I don't even see the movements anymore. Thanks so much for your video. It really means a lot to see improvement!
So far, I met 2 ppl with noticeable nystagmus. I dated one, and I saw her eyes on good (minimal jerking) and bad days (headaches).
I'm no creep, but to be honest I always felt it added intensity to the gaze, especially with small, fast twitches (stupid thought: designers make cartoon chars eyes shake in heartfelt moments)
I REALLY hope they'll find a cure, but never be afraid of eye contact: those who get turned off don't deserve enjoying your company (and it's their loss: you're beautiful)
I have nystagmus too, so I understand how you feel about eye contact. I can't see it in the mirror but I think it is similar to yours. I feel like I am missing so much by avoiding eye contact, and when people look into my eyes, I get so nervous, which just makes it worse!! :) It would be really nice to be abIe to look into someone's eyes and convey what I'm feeling instead of being terrified of how my eyes must look. I hope this works, and thank you for sharing your experience!
@fgod999 I don't think my vision is better. I'm kinda more interested in being able to slow the appearance of the jerky eye movements, than improve my vision, because I simply want to feel more confident about making eye contact with people.
@fgod999 UPDATE: My vision IS improving. I've driven a few times at night in familiar places which I wouldn't have been able to do before with any confidence.
