my dad took my mother to a Pontiac dealer in 79 to buy her a car she picked a 78 Catalina much like this,Lt. blue V top,4 door,elec.lock & windows,split bench,am/fm same caps,301, no skirts,crushed Lt.blue velv int,it was buried under a pile of snow in the back,he didn't understand why that car... turned out to be a reliable boat pullin beaut ! didn't think much of it then..... like to have it now... thanks for showin yours .. zero of these in Chicago burbs

Is that still a pontiac engine in this yr car? Or was it an another divisions engine that was put in?

This one has a Pontiac 301, but they also had Buick 350's and Chevy 350's in this year.
