  • For the stork stands, does one bear weight on the reconstructed knee, or do they bend the reconstructed knee?

  • You forgot to mention that the tera-band goes on the "good leg"

  • So I was I got my surgery in March but I should be on phase 3 but I can't is very hard. Does any one know if is normal..

  • hi guys, i just got my acl op 3 weeks ago tomorro, up til now ive just been concentrating on range of movement excercises nd im quiet happy with my proggress. I can walk now without crutches fairly freely and have about 120 degree bend in my knee. The last couple of days ive started the excercises in this video and can do them with little pain, im wondering can i over do it with these excercises and do damage or is the more i do per day better for building strength...

  • @TheXavierLee ...well, it was about 6 weeks until i could put pressure on it. It is still a little swollen, but not by very much. I kinda took it easy on the rehab the last 2 months, so it's been a little slow on me. the muscles on my leg are not where they should be, but not bad either. I've been walking and hiking a lot, as well as swimming. I'm also getting a bike. I get stiff in the morning especially when it's cold, but once i am up and walking, it usually gets better. I stretch a lot too

  • @daytripp79 is it more discomfort then pain?

  • @TheXavierLee , well i had some help from room mates and family with food and getting things. As far as showers are concerned, I didn't take any, I used baby wipes and deodorant everyday for 6 weeks. I brushed my teeth using a cup of water, and I had help getting up and used crutches to get to the bathroom, which was the toughest part. I had a special seat for the toilet that was raised about 6 inches, and I sat slowly with my leg extended and using my crutches as help sitting and getting up.

  • hey wen did peoples scabs start going away???

  • Are there any restriction when you have a meniscus repair in addition to ACL reconstruction using hamstring graft? Thank you!

  • well, i just had ACL w/meniscus repair and CAN'T, or rather, ADVISED NOT to put any pressure on my knee for 4-6weeks. NO weight baring. Most ACL repairs one can weight bare sometimes the same day of surg., but (at least my doc who is a sports medicine specialist who works for th 49ers) I can't. It sucks cause it is hard getting around on one leg. At least I am at week 3 entering week 4, so soon enough. good luck.

  • @iraklinaridze i dont know about the hamstrings part but when i had my injurys i completle teard my meniscus and my Acl so i stayed in the back slab for 1 MONTH! any way now its been 4.5 motnhs since the oparachen and 3.5 months since therabe ( i started as soon as i tok off the back slap) now full flexin is almost done!! at last and extenchen is alredy full pasive but active its about 178-177degres oh by the way thay reconstrected my ACL using the patela tendon

  • i'm in phase 2 but cannot flex my leg more then 90 degrees. So how can i make all the exersices?

  • I suggest that you work on your flexing I'm in 4 weeks coming in to 5 and my flexion is about 130 degrees and I can do most of the exercise... flexion is the most relevant exercise right now ...

  • Nevermind, my bad! Im at around 8 weeks post surgery.

  • At what month post op should phase 2 start?

  • Thanks for sharing. I'm waiting for my ACL surgery -- looking forward to my rehab!
