I am Ryan's mother and some of these comments are in error. I am so very sorry to say that Ryan committed suicide on October 4, 2005. The reason that he did not show his face on the video was because he wanted people to concentrate on his hands and the yo yo, not his face. He was not a robot and he had a lot of fun and put tremendous work into shooting and editing this video. He wanted the yo yo and the motion of his hands to be the focus of the film.

just mark one side of your yo-yo with an edding and you will see that you turn the yo-yo 180° on every turn.

Just do washing of from time to time to loosen your string.

its not respect for someone who committed suicide man, its showing respect towards a loss of a human being man. He was good at what he did. For whatever reason it was, he took his life, it's just respect for the loss of a life dude. Many great people have been lost this way, it's wrong to talk crap. I would not like for anyone to talk shit about a relative rudely, even if indeed they took their life. Just some courtesy, and respect. I'm grateful for his efforts in showing us this tut.

Yes, a kickside is responsive, but can be unresponsive, if you have an unresponsive one, just put some 3-1 oil or similar thick lube on the bearing, it will become responsive.

Also to VViP30U7, Unresponsive yoyos are prefered because it allows more string wraps aroung the bearing and because so tricks(slacks and hooks generally.) aren't easy wih a tug-responsive yoyos.

If I didnt know any better I'd say that your response system is probably too aggressive.

If your yoyo has an adjustable gap, make it wider to allow for the bind to be able to happen.

if you are using a yo with 'pads' try to get as much spin as possible. for me i can bind the first couple but dont get a good enough spin to continue binding. working on it. you can also double bind to bring it up too.

well a bind does not return it when you pull it should force it to return if done right. and the reason that it won't return might be ether string tension or your just not throwing the string into the yoyo quite right and the last thing that it might be is your yoyo might be to unresponsive for these binds.
