  • great voice. big song of the sixties.

  • there is no doubt about it,, cilla black was just magic then,, and i was dissappointed she went got nose job,, i loved the way she was,,she put her heart and soul into the song

she was a great as anyone at that time,,,eat your heart out lady gaga,,lool

oh i just kid,for they great as well

  • A truly classic song sung with gusto. Should have been a bigger hit, BUT American radio was into the British male bands like the Beatles & the Stones. Probably would have been a bigger hit if released a year or two later.

  • she certainly has a powerful voice but doesn't have a nice set of teeth here ...maybe she has her teeth done by now?

  • @liza8423 It's about her voice .. Not her boobs, hair, teeth or clothes ...

  • quite simply superb girl!

  • I forgot what a "powerful" voice this Lady Has!

I "loved" this when it came out!! She was so young.

  • I don't care how old are you now Cilla .. I will married you for ever! I live in Fargo N.D... I will make very Happy!

  • Strange but true: (Pris) cilla Black was born (Pris) cilla White!

  • omg iused to love this song

  • When Cilla was first singing this song I was a teenager too. She looked older!!! Now she looks like a kid! (Pre orthodontist days) lol When she boosts up the power I am amazed such a voice comes out of that sweet face.

  • Goodness me, a fantastic voice, pre- nose-job and pre-dentistry job. She had a wonderful voice and that's all that mattered. xx

  • I remember roller skating to this when I was about 12 yrs. old.......her voice gives me chills; she is incredible!

  • No body is perfect everyones is difference .

  • This is amazing. Thank you so much for uploading this. I'm in the US, & they didn't have music videos back when this was popular, (and I had this record) so we just had photos to go by. Her performance is just so much from the heart. It made me misty watching. Thank you so much again.

  • hay algún video con subtitulo?

  • Great voice!!!

  • my dad had this song played at his funeral for me and my brothers and my mum still cry when here this song love you so much dad and miss you so much xxxx

  • Cilla had great teeth in them days, lol

  • Old Cilla can certainly belt 'em out...a classic

  • Cilla was one of the very best in the sixties and not only then, she has staying power. I loved this song when it came out.

  • that dress makes her look anorexic.

  • Helen Reddy's version is much better.

  • se la chinga mas verga el sammy!!

  • her voice aint that great and she is a bitch in real life x

  • Cilla you have been a good un

  • christ a didny ken she could sing,go girl.

  • Cher Lloyd...eat yer 'art out...crapette

  • great song and nobody could have done it better, evokes such wonderful memories of the 60's.

  • Peggy McCullough from Norfolk Virginia, this will always be our song

  • And someone had the nerve to say Cilla only made it because she new the Beatles. No woman I have ever heard of can power up a song like this. What a voice, and so cute at the end of this video.

  • god this song is great i wish i was back in these times thank you

  • CILLA BLACK!! Such a unique and great voice. I love how she sings this song. Most artist these days can't go by voice alone. The use of voice synthesizers and anything else to make them sound like what they don't ,but wish they really could. Artist like Cilla Black,,just have to open thier mouths and let the heavens float you to wherever or whatever they sing about.

  • man what a voice.cilla black ill never forget that name. man what a powerfull love song. she can really sing a note. end of my world.a song that will live infimisley till the end of civilization. que cansion mas linda que yo ah oedo. viva los british invason.

  • This is the first time i listen to this song in english. Cuz i have this song in spanish by grupo Yndio from the70's and 80's. Nice song

  • @elchirris64 Actually this italian song (Il mio mondo by Umberto Bindi) was covered all over the world in at least 25 different languages... more than 2500 versions exist...

  • Any re-mastered versions on YouTube? Fabulous voice, fabulous song.

  • Goosebump material!

  • sounds awful my but sister played this at her husbands funeral, they danced to it at their wedding (yeh i know) but now it all fits they were married 26 yrs and she passed away 11wk after her husband both of cancer she was 46 & i love this song so much now xxx

  • @emzy1972 I'm so sorry for your loss. It's a wonderful song even though it will always remind you of two sad occasions.

  • sounds awful my but sister played this at her husbands funeral, they danced to it at their wedding (yeh i know) but now it all fits they were married 26 yrs and she passed away 11wk after her husband both of cancer she was 46 & i love this song so much now xxx

  • So underated, fantastic voice

  • This brings back memories of "slow dancing" and how wonderful that was!

  • The worst thing of 60's were guitarists. What a lazy companion geez! OTH nice interpretation.

  • I ABSOLUTELY ADORE THIS SONG, IT ALWAYS BRINGS A TEAR TO MY EYE. WHEN I LIVED IN ENGLAND, THOUGH, I WAS RIDICULED FOR LIKING THE BEATLES AND CILLA BLACK. SEEMS THE BRITS NO LONGER ARE PROUD OF WHAT THEY SHOULD BE PROUD... THIS WAS TOP QUALITY!!!

  • @CuteMcBeauty Rest assured, the Brits are proud of their musical heritage - albeit some more than others. I'm really sorry to hear you met morons instead of people who at least recognise that music is a whole lot more than a loud beat and crass unimaginative lyrics - I grew up to the Beatles, Cilla, Dusty, Petula, Herman's Hermits, Monkeys et al - and wouldn't have it any other way - love them all still!

  • @Stravinski59 I meant no offense... When I lived there I was a teenager and most teens are just obnoxious, I really shouldn't generalize... You're right, there are people of all sorts everywhere and there's a reason why classics never go out of style... =)

  • @CuteMcBeauty Ah, don't get me wrong - I perceived no offence ;o) didn't mean to suggest it - just touched a small nerve I guess, thinking about obnoxious teens! I didn't enjoy the period in later schools very much either - in some schools ridicule seems to be a necessary part of the curriculum...

  • @CuteMcBeauty We are not Brits we are English and proud of our Cilla

  • @cully1uk

    Isn't Cilla a Scottish lass???

  • @TeeVeeMons No, she's from Liverpudlian bird

  • @TeeVeeMons no liverpool

  • my mum used to sing youre my world all the time, she was an amazing singer and could have made it big,she used to enter talent competitions and won every1,a talent scout approached her and told her he could make her a big star, but he needed total commitment from her,no boyfriends ect,and my mum turned him down because shed had just met my dad and wouldnt leave him,she absolutely made the right choice they have both sadly passed away after a happy 44year marrage together.love you both so muchjxxxx

  • @massacaboy08 Thats so lovely ; brought a tear to my eye xx

  • @massacaboy08 Awww lovely story xxx :)

  • @massacaboy08 awh.Thats your parents story had just touched me deeply.

  • BEAUTIFUL

  • Isleworthful...is entitled to his opinion.....HE,S TOTALLY WRONG..!!....thats mine.

  • damn this is what we are supposed to have today seriously such atalented filled with sense and such kind words that your heart get filled with pride love and pleasure and hapiness :) thanx to the past !

  • She is a great singer. She hits all the notes correctly (which very female singers do these days, which is why many never sing live but mime). People who criticize her regarding high notes forget she comes from an era when girl singers had dynamics in their voices and could change their singing style in line with the building tension of a song. Aretha did the same thing. Also, you have to remember the sound systems in those days made high voices sound 'tinny'. On her records its perfect.

  • This song is just wonderful, it sends shivers down my spine. And Cill herself - so cute and young in this clip! And so adorable in the interview too.

  • cilka has a beautiful voice!

  • so why do you watch?

  • Cilla could ruin any song. She sounded like she had a cold, and those high notes are so harsh. Sorry I hate the woman

  • @dylandollyspud thats a classy icon mate she was and is 1st class you must be on drugs

  • @1sttony7 You have your opinion and I have mine, but listen to her do "Youv'e lost that loving feeling" and she'll show you how to screw up a terrific song

  • @dylandollyspud: Just heard it live. Brilliant. Far more dynacism and movement than the Righteous Brothers version. Maybe thats why they were one hit wonders in UK and Cilla was massive !

  • @ipolson Not so the Righteous Bros also had a hit with Unchained Melody. Cilla wasn't even a one hit wonder in the States, she did nothing there. the Righteous Bros version of Loving feeling is the most played record in history in the Uk and remains a classic. Cilla's version is largely forgotten. She was to pop what Florence Foster Jenkins was to opera, a truly awful singer who could do nothing but shout.

  • @Isleworthful: Actually, you are incorrect factually on so many accounts (where did you read it was the most played record in the uk , dont tell , the internet !), I am not going to bother correcting you. Its all about opinion.

  • @ipolson What's wrong with the internet? Actually the Guiness book Of records puts the Righteous Bros top with more than 8 million plays. I wonder how often Cilla's truly horrendous version has been played in the UK if at all in the US . Anyone who likes Cilla's laughable attempts at singing should listen to Florence Foster Jenkins singing the Queen Of The Night, you'll love it. Very easy to hear her influence on Cilla's "voice".

  • @Isleworthful: Well, she had loads of Top 10 hits in the UK from 1964 through to the mid Seventies, then had her own BBC TV show. She was also the biggest selling artist under Brian Epstein, apart from The Beatles. George Martin thought she was a wonderful singer, commending her especially for 'Alfie'. She was also one of John Lennon's favourite singers, which is why he recommended her to Brian Epstein. But hey, I am sure you know more than George Martin and John lennon.

  • @Isleworthful: If you hate her so much, what are you doing on this page ? Amazing how many people view artists they dont like ! I dont look at the Righteous Bros because I dont like them. I wouldn't watch a TV programme I hated. I just dont understand why people watch something just to slag it off ? What, you think people will change their opinion ? No chance

  • A great performer. As someone else has said, today's artists are more concerned about looking good than being good. We were blessed at this time in the 60s. The ultimate female singing triumvirate o0f the early to mid 60s. Cila, Dusty and and Pet. As Mary Hopkins once said, Those Were The Days.

  • @waratah08: Hey, dont forget Sandie and Kathy !

  • @ipolson I agree but Sandie Shaw and kethy Kirby, great that theye were weren't quite up there with these three, especialy Dusty.

  • @waratah08: Have to agree to disagree on that. Sandie and Cilla were the ones for us.

  • Classic bloody interview afterwards!!!!!!! LMAO......are you a blonde!!!!!!!! jeees she's had red hair since she was born !

  • I could be maried, with kids, house or any thing, but I will always know that you were made for me, Things hapen I´ll mis every minut i used with you. my litle and sweet girl.

  • It was so wonderful to be in England in the 60's, so much talent

  • Most younger people will only remember Cilla as a middle aged tv personality on shows such as Blind Date. But here is a young Cilla at the height of her fame as a singer showing off her amazing and very distinctive voice singing one of the great songs of the sixties.

  • i love the old songs you cant beat them not like today you cant understand a word some of them sing , but cilla , & sanddie Shaw the way they all sing,,

  • Oh, and dear Dusty Springfield too.

  • Effortless golden voice!

  • go cilla..straight to the top...no prancing about in shorts..just a great delivery of a great song

  • AWESOME THANK YOU NAMASTE

  • Is there a chap on here from Tooting? If so, get in touch-you used to cut my hair!

  • dont sound as good as helen reddy

  • @MrRob7562 : I cannot agree with you.

  • There's nothing wrong with this at all. Lovely.

  • WoW! I remember this song..I always liked Cilla Black version over Helen Reddy..I was about 13 yrs old back then..and had my first love and first break-up and this song sum it up!! Beautiful memories for me!

  • It wasnt about looking good in the 60's, it was about TALENT. Its because today there is an obsession with looking good, that the real talent doesnt surface so you end up with the talentless barbie dolls and crap that everyone complains about.

  • @ipolson,,, ive never heard of Cilla Black,,was looking of all things for this song , I heard a fella in canada, singing it ,, he did this song ,,we were blown away,, me and my girlies that is ..Andy hes called,,,,,,,its like tom jones and elvis in one,, really sexy bundle of man,,,,,,,,,check it out hes really gonna be big .my nana says hes the next elvis,,,i dont know about elvis but Andys ,,hot,,,unbreakable heart video...made me cry,,,

  • @CARLING1840: I dont wish to be unkind but are you serious ? I checked him out and he is some sort of (really bad) club singer trying to sound like Elvis. I thought he was drunk ! Its all about opinions !

  • @ipolson OH GET REAL,,,this man can sing,,,people rushed him at a fair ground,,,you wish you could sing that bad,,your opinion,,here is so so wrong,,

  • @CARLING1840: yeh he's so good, thats why he is singing at fairgrounds and in bars. It is you who needs to 'get real' . I was a part time musician for many years, played with and heard a LOT of singers over that time. No such thing as a 'wrong' opinion. There are only opinions.

  • @ipolson Oh i see your a,,,FAILED MUSICIAN.... who cant stand real talent when you see it ... or the success of others,,part time says it all,,,

  • @CARLING1840: Do you always get nasty when someone has a different opinion to you ? I am not a failed musician. A Failed musician is someone who tries to make it and doesn't. I have always played for pleasure like millions of others. I chose to run a successful business instead. Just accept people have different opinions. Insulting people just shows people you have no argument.

You dont know me, so dont insult me. Different opinions, get over it !

  • @ipolson CILLA was - and still is - a DOLL ! A Real Sweetheart with a Wonderful Voice. This is HER song. GOD BLESS !

  • @NikkiVideo: I agree. For us, it was such a change at the time, because most girl singers in the 50's and early 60's had been all glossy and silver dresses. Cilla and Sandie Shaw seemed much more 'girl next door'. Just ordinary working-class girlsbut with immense talent. People must remember that Cilla was THE biggest artist managed by Brian Epstein apart from The Beatles. She was huge !

  • @ipolson I too, agree. A different kind of girl singer was born from her, include Helen Shapiro in your comparison, even Mary Hopkin. Cilla was Queen though.

    We 'dig' Cilla.

  • @paulmaccarocks: I agree, especially Helen Shapiro, who was part of the 'new order' and of course toured with The Beatles. It was a good time to be in Britain, my brother and I felt these were 'our people' and we didn't have to listen to our older sister's music any more !

  • @ipolson WELL SAID!!!

  • @ipolson Look, get your tongue out of her arse. Your to late mate. Her pension starts 15 years ago.

  • Comment removed

  • @Deesade86: Presume you mean 'You're too late mate'. So not only do you post a pointless comment, but you

also make yourself look stupid at the same time.

  • @ipolson Said the same thing on a Carole King video "Tapestry"! Was all about talent back then, and fans that recognised it. We, the buying public back then, should take a bow too, for knowing good music when we heard it. Something today's generation find it much harder to do.

  • @ipolson a million thumbs up to that.x

  • most incredible!!! how damn sweet!!!!!

  • The Original and the best version ever, no one can do this song like our Cilla, her voice hd power for this song, just beautiful, xxx

  • such a wonderful song and her voice was spectacular, such control ;)

  • She had bad teeth and a big nose at that time, I knew she had a nose job, but she must have had her teeth fixed as well, cos they didn't look like that on Blind Date.

  • If you view other videos of Cila on YouTube, especially "Anyone Who Had A Heart (Live)" it appears she had some dental work done on her teeth.

  • What this thing about teeth?

    Its the song,

  • OMG I simply adore this woman, such a powerful and sensitive singer!!!

I think she deserves to be in the RRHOF a helluva lot more than Madonna!!!

  • @Babyhowdy233 A LOVELY LADY.

  • Beautiful lady and song!

  • Cute guy (2.15 to 2.19)!!Wass the bettin that 'our Cilla' has had 'work' done,LoL!!Still...apart from all that...Miss Thing is kikkin the KRAP outta this track...AWESOME!!

  • What a fantastic natural vocal. Cilla, you were a singing star of the sixties. The world was your oyster, so glad you made the most of it.

  • she was very natural, especially her teeth. she was like alot of American stars at the time. For instance, Dionne Warwick, and even Elizabeth Montgomery. They all smoked and their teeth were less than perfect. They were still very attrtactive

  • very very hard song to master. Her voice is hard to impersonate!

  • her teeth are horrid

  • @bacoman1947 --you are right -but so are most British teeth, for some reason. I wonder if she took her earnings and got 'em fixed! If I was her, I would have taken three months off and gotten veneers, a nose job and blepheroplasty. Then I would have hired a make-up artist to teach me all the glamor tricks.

  • @durgaaa SHAME ON YOU. LOLS

  • @bacoman1947 A response to the poverty the post-war children endured as the UK struggled to rebuild from the devastation from WWII. The baby boomers growing up in England had very different lives, economically, then did the boomers in the states. What she lacks in perfect teeth she more than makes up for in voice.

  • Wish they still made music like this, music you could listen to over and over and sing along to even now after all these years, it sure isn`t what it used to be mores the pity.

  • Only the best on the entire bloody planet in 1964!!! It doesn't get much better than this!!

  • and this was`nt lip sync coz they had the best in microphone technology in the 60`s, n she didnt need to use one till the mc turned up at the end lol

  • Loved Cilla since the sixties when I was 15. Sitting in the cafe listening to her on the jukebox. I thought she was fab in every way and still do. Thanks Cilla.xx

  • When I was a kid I apparently loved Cilla Black and this song. Thank god I grew up and discovered Heavy Metal!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • let's just face it...THE BRITS RULE!!! Great video, many thanks for posting...it's a first for me!

    Wayne in Texas. :)

  • She was great..!! No 'singers' today are matching her. As for her face, teeth & looks.. she looks just fine. She looks real. The artificial world of.. 'perfection' - the 'barbie doll' look.. looks.. cheap & fake.

  • wow i never knew cilla had such an amazing voice and this song is amazing, ive tried to sing it and love the way it builds - amazing!!

  • I meant in the foreground at 1:34

  • The blonde in the foreground at 4:02 is really gorgeous. Well she was in 1965, anyway!

  • it really hurts that everyone is judging cilla because of her teeth. i think she looks great, and her teeth look ok to me. in fact, one of my teeth is crooked; and you can see it in my video of me singing this song. Cilla if you see this message, it is the honest truth.

  • haha Cilla Black the pied piper of gays according to Jim Royal lmfao!!

  • SUPER SONG. GIFT FOR YOU

  • luv this song, she was great!!!!! so much power from such a tiny little woman.

  • @spabrat I love Cilla Black and her music, but what is with that spacesuit dress?? lol Oh, the sixties...

  • It's the sixties, lol.

  • Hey guys that's whats wrong with music today too many people being judged on there looks and not there talent. Grow up

  • TheHawk1959 - No one is judging anyone by their looks - it's just observations of things you don't see regarding performers anymore. Incidentally, it seems that Cilla Black even judged herself by her appearances - she eventually got a nose and teeth job.

  • questa canzone è fantasticaaa

  • Forever ...Heimer...

  • Ok, but not that much of a looker is she?! Helen Reddy is better.....

  • This is an italian song by the great Umberto Bindi...who died with no money and alone just because he was gay and in the 60s in Italy that was not accepted at all: RIP Umberto...and SORRY on behalf of ITALY....to everybody: listen to his original version...THANKS!

  • I know him very well (great composer by the way). He did a great job. Morgan, as a tribute to him, did a cover of this one, which in my humble opinion is fantastic

  • I like Helen Reddy much more, for this song.

  • she's just that thin, that's why it looked like a potato sack...

  • i agree, but i think at that time, everyone could care less... it's all about the talent... ^_^

  • What is it bout 60s music that made life oh so special.May be biased but heck it was great growing up then. Can the same be said about todays young ones.

  • She was doing great before she mentioned Shit William.

  • Cilla had a Beatles connection, and recorded this wonderful song on Apple Records. Kind sounds like an English version of Timi Yuro.

  • I've heard of Cilla Black - from reading British newspapers online, and a reference to her from the Brit-com AS TIME GOES BY, but have never have heard her sing. Really glad to trip over this video. For such a young thing when this was made, she has a really great dynamic (and intensity). Very cool. Plus, seeing the kicky 60's Swinging Brit couples dance in the background!. Good on Cilla; and good on DogSoldier59 for putting this up. Thanks!

  • cilla is a VERY GOOD singer , maybe not the worlds greatest but she couldnt half belt out a tune and givr it some feeling and emotion - listen to liverpool lullaby for proof

  • Fab song, I love it, never used to as my mum used to sing it AT me haha, thank you for adding my cover as a video response. Im 18 and I love the 60's! Hugz. Emma.xXx

  • a no, se llama eres mi mundo.

    esta padre el tema.

  • this was a very great personal performance but i think the single had a little more depth.don't get me wrong, she does a great job but i guess the polish on the studio version is what i'm used to.

  • Oh my God, who made that outfit? I'll bet Cilla is looking back in horror at this one. You're my World from the extra terestrial perspective. Cilla this was a vocal classic, and i'm sure you're as proud of it as we all should be.

  • You're right. Even going by the kind of whacked out and freaky clothes some people wore back in those days that is one ugly dress. Too bad, alot of the '60s clothes were really cool. I know, I grew up during that time.

  • AMAZING CILLA!!!

  • Cilla was part of the history of the 60`s music culture, I am annoyed that there are some who are less than receptive to

Cilla, Alfie is the song that I would play to them and then challenge them to find a more heart rendering piece of music.

  • i think britain did not relise thestars from uk like pet clark/cilla black and the rest of them.why doest itv thetv channel do some kind of show just two say thank you for the music

  • BBC4 had a whole night of '60s Brit girls several months ago. They showed an episode each from Dusty, Lulu, Cilla and Sandie's respective TV shows.

  • Rock on Cilla

  • I think Cilla then had a distinctive "girl-next-door" look which I find strangely attractive compared to the current mass produced clones. Hair, like clothes, are subject to the fashion whims of the era.

Whatever the look the power & genuine passion of the performance, like Dusty, is undeniable!

  • Bad dress, bad hair, bad teeth..but an outstanding voice!

  • Cilla stood in for Steve Wright on radio this morning. She was absolutely crap, with simpering voice and phoney accent. Whoever thought she could be a DJ ? They should be sacked.

  • A lorra lorra laughs .

  • A lorra lorra crap

  • Oh be serious!!! if you compare the simple musical essence of this song including the harmony-- which seems to have dissapeared these days-- you have to say THIS IS MUSIC!!!! what do we have today but NOISE!!!!!!!

  • Cute as a button.
