Nice lit-uh...long play-through. You're a good jumper too and not as fearful of spike traps as I am. I did see you get anxious a few times though and the Block Devil did seem to rattle your nerves a bit.
I could tell during the time you were going after the 8 masters that you had played the game before as you seemed to know where some things were before you got there.
You're a decent MM player and you hardly swear at all during commentary which is great!

Since subsequent games in the X series are X2, X3, X4, and so on, instead of xi, xii, xiii, xiv... X is the characters name. and thus is NOT a numerical figure.
@StoneMonkWisdom well if you look at the start screen in every Mega Man game with the exception of 8 and 9 you will see that the Mega Man series has always embraced the use of Roman Numerals, now with that being said it would only logically make sense that if a title screen read "Mega Man X" that a viewer would read that as 10 based on previous Mega Man titles

However there are alternative cheaper ways like buying a "Dazzle" which plugs into the USB port and allows recording directly to the computer itself making files or whatever... It's maybe 40 bucks or something like that. There is also other game capturing devices and tools directly to PC so, try looking for video capture cards and things I mentioned.
@iRemiixGamePlay I used a normal PC, it just comes down to what programs are on the computer. THe more up to date your pc, with more ram memory, harddrive space, etc etc the better. I recommend having the following programs for editing videos if possible. Camtasia Studio 7, or Sony Vegas. If none of those, then Windows Movie Maker since it should be on nearly all / most "Windows" computers by default.
@ShurikenEye You don't get video games at all. The graphics aren't bad, they are simply just different. Going back to the days of 8-bit on the NES. What truly matters is the gameplay of a game and that is what old school games were about.

In Hard Mode, I'd go for Blade Man first. In normal mode, probably Sheep Man first. Strike Man is fine too.,

Theres usually a really easy boss you should start out on then the power that you get from that boss you should look up which boss is weak against that power. Some of the bosses are absolutely ridiculous to beat unless you use their weakness. So unless you wanna become one of those freaks who play the game for a year figuring out exactly how to beat each boss with the mega blaster, then just cheat and go to the wiki.
@DarkD11 I played the game when it first came out, there was no weakness information or anything to take advantage of. Simply playing it, blind... Roughly 3 weeks later, I was playing the challenges and beat Solar Man H in roughly a half hour of trying not to get hit while also shooting him dead with the Mega Buster. The result is in a video I uploaded and no, it does not take a year to master.
Sheep man is a intresting boss. I kinda ruined the game for myself by watching the stages on the wii version bc i couldn't wait for the xbox 360 version. It would have been a more enjoyable game if i hadn't lookedd early. I hope Capcom comes out with Mega Man 11. I would buy it.
This game seems like retro Megaman. Though, its not the earliest Retro that I remember. Mega Man 1 for the Pc for example. This had no color plus the details were less defined. If I remember correctly. The original Retro Megaman games were also quite difficult. Then again, I was playing then in the 90's when I was around 10 so..not 100% on that last part.
Well... I like that Capcom made new NES style Megamans, that's all good.
Although I do think they went slightly TO retro, by going back to Megaman 1 style gameplay almost.
They really should have at least kept the slide. (And personally I LIKE the charging megabuster, but I could at least see the arguments for getting rid of that one.)
@TheSkunkCat I too enjoy the retro Mega Man games, the slide and Mega Buster were scrapped for Mega Man but Proto Man in both Mega Man 9 and 10 can slide and charge up his Proto Buster, to offset this, he takes more damage but can defend himself in the air with a shield.
In my opinion, Mega Man has been out of action for a long time and thus his power-ups like the Mega Buster and Slide were downgraded or taken off. As if decommissioned, Mega Man was relaxing during a time of peace...
@redworld98 Select Proto Man when choosing a character at game start. the "turbo shot" or Mega Buster was removed from Mega Man himself in MM9 and MM10.

@Dagreat I didn't care, I noticed it but didn't say much at all XP Also, one day there will be a boss in mega man weak to the Rush Coil, and then, all will see my genius XP. Actually, Rush Coil is rather effective in hard mode against some of the MM10 bosses to which I utilized rush coil and made some videos thereof.

@frozenray0079 Those who ask questions like this will receive answers and spoilers. At the end of Mega Man 9, you see the ending which foreshadows Bass in design schematics. Bass is downloadable content in Mega Man 10. Bass, Proto Man, and Mega Man are playable characters in Mega Man 10.
I don't have an answer for the reason behind Capcom's decision to make these, but unlike you, I happen to love both of these games as I am a fan of the classic mega man series.

@Anemite 4 blows and 3 while amazing is nothing compared to 2. 2 is the pinnacle of the series. The mega buster makes it too easy. A game has to challenge the player to be good. Some of us like to get good at games we decide to put time and effort into.
@Luigi84289 I liked 4... I don't think the charge shot makes things too easy, exactly, but I don't like the overall impact it has on gameplay. Basically you wind up walking around with a charge shot the whole time, until something comes by and you unleash it on 'em. Without charge shot, you basically need to rely on a large number of hits. I think the "rapid fire" style of play is more fun to play than the "charge shot" style, so I like that they returned to Rockman 2-style gameplay.

This game seems like retro Megaman. Though, its not the earliest Retro that I remember. Mega Man 1 for the Pc for example. This had no color plus the details were less defined. If I remember correctly. The original Retro Megaman games were also quite difficult. Then again, I was playing then in the 90's when I was around 10 so..not 100% on that last part.

Well... I like that Capcom made new NES style Megamans, that's all good.
Although I do think they went slightly TO retro, by going back to Megaman 1 style gameplay almost.
They really should have at least kept the slide. (And personally I LIKE the charging megabuster, but I could at least see the arguments for getting rid of that one.)

@TheSkunkCat I too enjoy the retro Mega Man games, the slide and Mega Buster were scrapped for Mega Man but Proto Man in both Mega Man 9 and 10 can slide and charge up his Proto Buster, to offset this, he takes more damage but can defend himself in the air with a shield.
In my opinion, Mega Man has been out of action for a long time and thus his power-ups like the Mega Buster and Slide were downgraded or taken off. As if decommissioned, Mega Man was relaxing during a time of peace...

@Dagreat I didn't care, I noticed it but didn't say much at all XP Also, one day there will be a boss in mega man weak to the Rush Coil, and then, all will see my genius XP. Actually, Rush Coil is rather effective in hard mode against some of the MM10 bosses to which I utilized rush coil and made some videos thereof.

@StoneMonkWisdom Emulator means a program on a computer that u can use to play a console on the computer instead of doing it for real.
In my case, I have Dolphin; the Gamecube and the Wii emulator and the games you download for Dolphin or any other emulator is called a "ROM". I have this ROM on my emulator Dolphin.

@frozenray0079 Those who ask questions like this will receive answers and spoilers. At the end of Mega Man 9, you see the ending which foreshadows Bass in design schematics. Bass is downloadable content in Mega Man 10. Bass, Proto Man, and Mega Man are playable characters in Mega Man 10.
I don't have an answer for the reason behind Capcom's decision to make these, but unlike you, I happen to love both of these games as I am a fan of the classic mega man series.

@Anemite 4 blows and 3 while amazing is nothing compared to 2. 2 is the pinnacle of the series. The mega buster makes it too easy. A game has to challenge the player to be good. Some of us like to get good at games we decide to put time and effort into.

@Luigi84289 I liked 4... I don't think the charge shot makes things too easy, exactly, but I don't like the overall impact it has on gameplay. Basically you wind up walking around with a charge shot the whole time, until something comes by and you unleash it on 'em. Without charge shot, you basically need to rely on a large number of hits. I think the "rapid fire" style of play is more fun to play than the "charge shot" style, so I like that they returned to Rockman 2-style gameplay.
