@xerovector they didnt need cinematic scenes in order to get there point acrossed, Celes, character within the same game ATTEMPTED SUICIDE. That made a pretty big emotional impact on me and it was not a big CG cutscene. It was just a sprite animation with sad music. If you want to know more(since 500 characters isnt enough) watch top 15 saddest moments in video games. So ya, they could have done alot more with Kefka but just left him as a psycho killer...BORING. I am sorry I can not take Kefka seriously. He was a good villain in FFVI but I wasnt really impressed by his "Insanity" He loves death and destruction, great, but I just did not find him that memorable. Now I know he did show is "Other side"(life dreams hope, why create) but that took up about...3-5 lines. If he had a better back story I would like him more. So ya...kefka should have been like number 8 and Albedo number 1(That guy has a REASON for insanity)

I never really enjoyed Kefka that much. He just seems so, how to put it... Artificially insane, y'know? Like the creators of the character were just trying to make an insane character, and it kinda shines through.

What I did enjoy, though, was playing through the game(s) imagining that he was perfectly sane. Trying to figure out what he was trying to accomplish by putting on that looney face and messing with everyone. I won't spoil anything but there's something there worth looking into.

I agree with the Kefka choice. I've noticed in the original Dissidia that Kefka has the most unique cutscene animations. Where most others are generally stock and can be repeated with slight tweaks. Alot of it is in the face, he's the ONLY character in Dissidia that can express. Everyone else has a deadpan straight face all the time.

Surprised Jedah from Darkstalkers 3 didn't get on this list. He is a polite nobleman with bouts of insane laughter, he has come to the conclussion that to end all war and strife that he must kill every last living thing in the multi-verse and merge their souls into one body; which he created and is his background stage (Fetus of God). His fighting style involves shredding parts of his own body and even cutting his own head off. He even took over the boss spot in Cross-Edge from another monster.

Kefka is an interesting character from what I've notice, you dispise him.. but since I've yet to even touch a final fantasy game, from what I'm noticing of what you've said of him, it makes me want to do some research on him sometime, personally when a person questions on why a person wants to continue living, when they are going to die anyway, it somehow catches me interest, aside that he's pretty much saying "Hey, stop living, commit suicide or just die" to few people.
