well I'm buying one pretty soon and Im hoping its not as hard as it seems. Im getting a 12 bass because I've read those are good for beginners, but Im hoping I'll be able to PLay all my favorite Yann Tiersen songs in time on that and then maybe invest in a 120 bass.

I may have already commented on this video before, but I wanted to say again how much I love this video! I recently began attempting to learn this song, and it's really frickin' difficult. As for faking expressions lol...I seriously doubt they're faked. Personally, I sometimes am surprised at how my face looks when I record videos (although most of the time I have the same expression), and the songs I do are much easier than this (so I don't have to be as focused). Great job, Geert!

The problem with accordions is that they are prohibitively expensive.. But if they were cheaper I would definitely buy a jupiter. A jupiter is what got me into this instrument, I could've sworn there was a full orchestra round the corner, but I looked and there was just one massive jupiter and a violinist.

i think hes faking the movement of his expressions look at him on 0:18 he has already start his movements too early on a song to start the expressions movements, so i think hes faking his movements expressions. but its a good interpretation tho.

Why would anyone want to fake expressions? That's just silly. It's a natural thing, when you really get into the music, you naturally sway and move, you don't realise you're doing it. I find it funny how you actually observed his movements and judging from a tiny second in the video, you assume he's faking. Chill out and enjoy it! No one can fake their emotions when they're playing such beautiful music! :)

If you mean that i fake the expressions of my feelings (I think you mean the movement, or do you mean the music itself?) than all I can say is this: After I made a video I see the movements I made during the record and every time I think: Man, can't you play while just sitting normally on a chair! :)

You've got to play it by ear, thats the best solution. I dont use sheet music (only when I've got to learn some songs on the piano) because I am pretty bad in playing the piano...like I am in speaking english I think... ^^
