if you are going to jailbreak your ipod touch, it has to be fershly restored which means erasing everything off of it so yes your music goes away

just update to 2.1 and jailbreak it with quickpwn way better and you get cydia and installer....but first you have to restore your ipod then update then jailbreak unless your already running 2.1 just restore and jail break with quickpwn....

ok here is what you do. First go to the website he posted in the description. Then download the version you need, so if you have a mac download the mac version or if you have windows download the windows version. After you installed the program open it up and click on jailbreak and dont click on anything else. After that you should be good to go. (by the way it does work with the 16 gig ipod, cuz thats what I have, i don't get why people say it dose not work)

If you want a simpler way to jailbreak 1.1.4, i recommend iLiberty+ or iLibertyX (X being for mac, + being for windows). I did this with ziphone and all it did was lagg my ipod. use iliberty.

hold the home button and power button until ur ipod goes off and keep on holding them. when the apple logo comes back on let go of the power button but keep hold of the home button. it should now be in restore mode. restore ur ipod and try again.

Now Go for the "update thing" he means, UPDATE your ipod touch IF already jailbroken and u want to upgrade to 1.1.4 Jailbrake, after go to installer, ALL PACKAGES, Spring Board ,Summerboard!!

hey dat happened to me.. just like 3 hours ago... just press the lock button and hold the home button til it restarts n let go the block button BUUUUT keep holdin the home.. it will go to recovery mode.... itunes will recognize the itouch n if u want u can restore everything (just to make sure).. let me know if it worked, or if u havin' problems!
