  • Neat, so how do you do the effects really? Anyhow uhhmmm... What is the song playing int he background? I recognize it from the Highlander Season 1 Bloopers...

  • @RatHacker

The effects are made with a small pyrotechnics charge and digital effects (fx labs)

The song is "Don't loose Your Head" from Queen's "A kind og Magic" album.

  • I really liked the effects but one small mistake that people make when adding sound effects to fire arms is that the sound they are using is recorded from firearms on range. Which causes a much beefier sound due to acoustics during recording. It's cool when the shots are filmed in cities or inside buildings but for out in the open, the more crisp sounding pop sounds more real, rather than the beefy boom.

Still love it though, very inventive.

  • You are right and I wish we could do something about that, but sound is (as it is with most fan films) our geatest issue, since we have to rely on prerecorded sound stock. Though we have much better ones right now than we had when this reel was filmed, sound will always be the great manko in our production.
