One of most beautiful and also the greatest actresses Poland ever had, Maria Malicka, after WWII was expelled from Warsaw to Cracow under pretext of her collaboration with nazi-administered theatres during Polish actors' boycott of the official stages. Yet other collaboratring actors like a comic Adolf Dymsza, were not treated so badly. Well-informed knew, that another diva Nina Andrycz, who meanwhile got married to a communist prime minister Cyrankiewicz, simply got rid of her competition.
Smosarska was a 100percent Polish beauty of the XIX/XXth century. She was "a girl from a Polish manor house". She has sweetness and pride, she is charming, but underneath you feel strength of her will. A honesty is seen in her eyes and through them you see a beautiful soul. Such noble young women types are gone in Poland now... and I'm afraid... - forever... replaced by repulsive, vulgar imitations of Gaga or Britney Spears
